Crossroads The theme of this year's yearbook is "crossroads." Throughout our journey in high school, we each make important decisions that alter the paths of our lives. As seniors, we can reflect on the decisions of the past four years that have made us who we are today. King has given us many opportunities to grow as individuals and as a community. We are linked by a common road, but now is the time to branch off and discover who we will become.

Dedication

To Ms. Haymann, or Madame as we all call you at King, You have been an integral part of the King community for fourteen years as a teacher, mentor, and advisor to students, clubs, and trips. You have touched the lives of many students during your time here at King through your tireless dedication to them. Without your presence here, King would not be the same. Many of us have had the pleasure of going with you on one of the school trips, whether to New Orleans or France. You have built lasting relationships with your students, and long after they have been in your classes, you continue to stay in touch with them. You introduced you students to the best of what francophone culture has to offer including incredible films and, best of all, delicious foods. It only feels natural to dedicate this yearbook to someone who has spent countless hours contributing to it as one of its primary members, leaders, and creators. We wish you all the best in your upcoming adventures, though we will miss you!

Head of School

Dear King Community, It is with real sadness that we say good-bye to this group of seniors. They are a talented, ambitious, caring, and authentic group. With many of them beginning at King in the Lower and Middle Schools, they are a class that is deeply connected, and their open and welcoming disposition has allowed students joining the class in the high school years to be immediately integrated and connected. For high school students and classes, there are crossroads every day, every week, every year. Each crossroads represents an individual choice or a choice for the group. The addition of a classmate, the departure of a classmate, the departure of an esteemed teacher, the college process, a challenging athletic season, all of these and much more represent opportunities for individual and group responses that develop and further the identity of the group. This class had plenty of ups and downs, plenty of change, plenty of challenge, tremendous success, and so many crossroads that presented choices. This group consistently chose to get stronger, to be better, to become wiser, to support each other, and to learn from their choices. This is not a group that cast blame on others when things did not go well, nor looked to scapegoat individual or collected failures. It is not a group that took excessive pride in success. This class learned from hardship, celebrated success appropriately, and welcomed change as opportunity. These qualities are rare in groups of adults, and even more rare in groups of high school seniors. This disposition will serve them particularly well in the rapidly changing world that they are entering next year. They will make measured choices, and they will learn from them. We will miss this group of seniors, without a doubt. As they matured into seniors, they developed a shared depth, emergent from the choices made at so many crossroads, that allowed them real stature and voice in our community. They leave us as a respected and valued group, a group that has demonstrated responsibility and accountability, and a commitment to thoughtful decision-making. They leave us a stronger community for their presence. Tom Main

ARDV Mom, Dad, and Richard: Thank you so much for supporting me in everything I do. You guys are the best and I could never have done this without you. I love you all so much! Class of 2015: Congratulations everybody! It’s been great getting to know many of you and good luck next year! FJ: We made it! Thanks for being a great friend. I remember the time you, GL and I went to lunch the summer before I came to King...it doesn’t feel that long ago!!! The times we shared, such as your surprise 16th, almost finding our way to long island sound on the paddle boards, the countless movie nights, and baking cookie cakes...there are so many more but that would take up a whole page. I’m going to miss your baking and cooking and I’m going to miss you too! KF: You’ve been a great friend! Thank you for putting up with me and listening to my problems. I’m going to miss advisory with you but at least you won’t need to help me with math and physics anymore. We have had so many good times together! Our trips to the mall, crying during movies (including previews), dancing to “blank space”(and my expression), the many debates between you, LP, and I, and golf! We finally made it! I’m going to miss you next year! Also never forget mall commercial! GL: ! still remember the day I first met you and FJ and when we went to lunch before sophomore year. It feels like that day was yesterday. It was great leading the Shirley Tempos with you and I could not have thought of a better person to lead with. I’m going to miss the meetings with you and all the other girls so much! MC: Even though I have only known you since junior year, it feels like I have known you much longer. We’ve had some good times and I will never forget the time you and FJ ate that entire of bag of cheese puffs, or when you threw your gov book down the hallway, or the squash almost flying out the window. IL: I’m going to miss you coming into my advisory almost every morning and being half asleep. I think it’s pretty clear that we all know you will live in Japan someday...and are subaru’s your favorite car or something? You never really made that clear...You’ve been a great friend and I’m going to miss you next year! JG: It’s been great getting to know you and you’ve been a great friend! I'm going to miss you coming into my advisory every morning and having English class with you. I will always remember that you love penguins and I will miss you!

AMM

AMW-1 can’t even imagine what my life would be like without you. Thank you for 13 years (don’t deny it) of advice, support, laughs, and the best hugs I’ve ever gotten. 5 words. AT- Fuzz, thank you for always looking out for me. You’ve even had my back in an extreme lightning storm! That’s t r u e friendship. Love you lots fruit loop dingus! CPL- Frau, I’m sorry for spending your money on food freshman year, but thanks for being my friend anyway. Secret hot wing lunches. Pineapple People for life. Who goes there? Fine, don’t tell me. The foosa! MKC- To be pacific, you don’t need X-ray vision to play the tangerine. You always wear too much layers and you never have any quarters for the fish and you’re definantly not reglear, but I love you anyway. LMH- Lorna Doone I love you so much and I’m so happy that we bonded over music and finally became friends. Don’t you worry child, my body says it was just a drop in the ocean. KCN- Sausage, I actually love you a lot. Thanks for all the books you’ve lent me, snapchats you’ve sent me, and love you’ve hesitantly given me. Hopefully one day you’ll be able to eat oatmeal in public without pinching your cheeks off. This are this. KEM- Who am I going to watch Harry Potter while eating cookies with now? Thanks for being my idol on skis. Love you like crazy and I will miss you every of the time. KHM- We have the same cleats! Bye! I’m going to miss you more than I can express, my other half, my human disaster. I love you and I like you. CAKEBALLS! ACK! ECH- It’s you! Thank you for your impeccable hair care and for letting me squeeze your hand during movies. You’re a primadonna, but I’m gonna miss you loads next year.

ARS Joey - Hey Chimes brother. It’s been a great four (plus) years. I’m always going to remember that one weekend at 4 a.m. that ended in you flipping a 4 hour long game of risk off the table and laughing/ crying a little bit. You kept me company through all our long runs, talking about the most random stuff— I think my excuse for never running again will be that I don’t have my running buddy there with me. Stay crazy. Grace - Sure, I just sigh at a lot of them, but the highlight of almost every one of my days is some god-awful joke you make. At some reunion down the road we should probably bring a kid or two along to embarrass with dad jokes— maybe have a competition to see which kid gives us an evil glare first. I feel like you keep me from being too cynical all the time, which actually brings me to the next person. Maya - First off a little advice: while at Yale, try your hardest not to irrationally hate people, as at that rate you’ll probably spend more time glaring at people than studying. Not that that’s really new to you. But anyways it’s always nice to have you there, whether we’re in the middle of understanding very little physics or...wait, I actually think that’s it. I hope we can both be successful in the future with our art and film majors. Giulia - Where do I even start? We’ve been through a ton during these four years, and though I don’t always show it, it’s always nice to know you’re there with me. Though recently our bonding time at school being foodies has been shut down by some cruel soul, you’ll always be my food buddy (don’t think I’m ever going to forget France) and music buddy. Bea - Math Team and Math Teacher’s Assistants co captains?? Wow. We’re pretty cool. It’s awesome that we became close friends last year and now I can talk about whatever I want with you (even if that mostly means complaining about work). You’re always sweet and I’m constantly entertained by your aspirations to intimidate people. You’ll get there. Isi - Can we go back to sophomore year for a few days? Sure, the classes were pretty awful, but at least I had you there to distract me from them with a little Tic Tac Toe or random conversations about our dream treehouse (when are we buying that by the way? I’m thinking early 2020 is a good goal.) You can always make me laugh with your ridiculous jokes, awkwardness, and/or naivete. Keep it up. Katharina - I don’t think I’ll ever understand how you manage to do so much while also constantly talking about how lazy you are and how much you procrastinate. Then again, being in the same boat as you, I can’t say I put much effort into understanding it in the first place. Anyways, you’re just great to be around in general, being one of the nicest people I know while somehow still managing to be funny. I hope that even though you’ll most likely be pretty separated from me in the upcoming years we manage to stay in touch.

Mom & Dad— With everything I’ve put you through som etim es I’m shocked that I even still have a roof over my head. Thank you doesn’t come close to expressing how grateful I am to you for loving me no m atter what I do. I will miss you far more than I care to T admit; please promise to visit me frequently otherwise you know that my sheets will remain forever unwashed. : I’m not really sure how I’m going to function in the semireal world w ithout you constantly by my side. Who will * help me when my car’s out of gas, I left my wallet (which didn’t have any money in it anyways) som ewhere, my phone’s dead, and I’m stuck in some obscure place? Anyways, flawed as I may be, thank you for everything you’ve done to make me who I am today. Will— Y ou’re so brilliant and talented and I know you’re going to kill it next year, even without your role model around. Don’t forget to have a little fun too. To the Gals & the Rest of the Fam— You never fail to lift my spirits and remind me of w hat’s truly important in life. Thanks to you I’m certain I’ll be able to endure w hatever college has in store far better than your average freshman. Love you all. SC, JW, CM, CM, JL, JM, SL, KS, & HH— Although we never did go to Six Flags, this is still probably the greatest group of people ever. I’ll miss you terribly. MS— Love you forever my best friend. Good luck in your quest to become a nationally known frat legend and then billionaire. I have faith that you’ll take SMU by storm just as you did Darien. It’ll never be the same again. MC— Thank you so much for helping me keep my sanity these past couple years. I’m not entirely sure what I w ould’ve done if we hadn’t become friends. Don’t forget me when you’ve become some incredibly powerful politician or something. HH— I couldn’t ask for a better friend than you. We better never lose touch as I’m expecting a Grammy invitation in the near future. Class of 2015— I’m so proud of us. Congrats and I wish you all the best. ■8l

To my beloved friends: all of the different moments we’ve shared, concerts we’ve been to, places we’ve traveled, days that we’ve made legend... *wait for it*... dary. Legendary. Get it? Shut up Austin you’re ruining your scribbles. To all of the inside jokes, TV shows, handshakes, or traditions I share with each and every one you, they will never be forgotten. I love you all and know you will all make it so far. I can’t wait to catch up here and there in the future and reminisce about the great times we had. Pee luv mang is going to miss you <3 Ethan: Brather, 10 years since we both walked into Mrs. Mansfield’s 3rd grade classroom at the King Low Heywood Thomas School. We made it. The amount of jokes or experiences we have shared can’t be counted... but the amount of times we went to England can be counted. Once. And it was incredible. England, bro. Talent shows, Beauty and the Beast, Our Town, Little Shop, The Miser, Burial at Thebes, Spamalot, The Memo, Godspell, (who knows what we preformed before 8th grade), all wouldn’t have been the same without you. My entire KLHT experience let alone childhood wouldn’t have been the same without you. Thanks for making it all an unforgettable time and to greater times ahead. You’ll do great out there old sport I’m proud of you, and I love you bro.

Most important of all, shoutout to all the boys: Tuck Truck, Horny, The Crave Crate, seddie, donald, naloon, jammy, guy who thinks he’s funny, Thomas and Hames, Cleffrey, Tuttle, Christopher Massucco, steefen (I hope your mom graduates soon buddy), spooky fuerte murphy, jpizzle (ddhtevp) and lastly, John Woods. It’s been an amazing experience guys, I’m not sure what life will be like when I’m not seeing you all every day, but I’m certain we will stay in contact. Good luck out there.

From my first grade teacher Mrs. Benedetto and I sharing the same birthday, to my high school advisor for four years Mrs. Yelton and I always discussing how much we both disliked the Patriots, I want to thank them and all my teachers and friends along the way for making my lifetime at King something I will always remember.

First I need to thank the woods clan, Joey, Stephen, Antoine, Danny, Hannah, Suni, JP, Dylan, Wood, Joe B and Big Sexy for being a family away from home. As for the home at home: All I can say is you’re the best. Fat amac from day one you’ve had my back even when I throw you under the bus, which was too often. Mom and Dad I actually don’t know how to say how thankful I am for everything. Second I need to thank Dan Gouin for making me into the man and player I am today. Also I have to mention Arty Waters, Marc Seracino, Colin Thom, Greg Dobbs, and Mike Sheehan for getting me through my afternoons. Sophie, I love you, and that’s all I can say. Big Sexy, Pretty Boy Joe, JP, Steve, Nol, and Dan Rom I cannot thank you guys enough for being a part of life, I will remember you six for as long as I live. James, Tuck, Bob, Tommy, Walter, Ethan, Jamie, Jeff, Cris, Eddie, and Jacob you made a difficult transition back easy and enjoyable, and that will always be important to me. Henry and James you two prove the stereotypes about Darien kids wrong. Hannah, Bea, Madeline, Kendra, Ariana, Vic, Lindsay, and Sabrina thank you for teaching me to talk to girls. Long live the missile; it got us from point A to point B safe and sound. It ruled the senior lot with an iron fist. That chariot of gold will go down in history. Long live the short life of the ripper. The guidance of Kenneth Melmed and Ian Lear Nickum has prepared me well. Renn Lints and Ev steal yo girl, you have very high expectations, you two will take the program very far (as with Charlie Weaver/Jackson Trimmer).

Mom & Dad - you guys are my rock, ill miss you so much, an infinite thank you for everything and try not to completely fall apart without me, i really couldnt have done it without you (: Elle - your adhd and aggressive erratic behavior will be put to the test senior year.. .try to not let it get the best of you. youre cooler than most people, you know, stay #tru to yourself and visit me a lot (: love you Kid - youre a lot smarter than me when i was your age. keep on not caring about what people think, your life will only get more fun. never change dat rye, love you always. Happy bday, bean, & sabby lite - the smartest, funniest, prettiest, most phenomenal girls i will probably ever know, i really have no idea what im going to do without my three best friends next year whatever ill just die or something. GALS - my ride or dies...you guys mean the world to me. you are all so crazy and i can count on each of you to make ANYTHING fun...your roommates have NO idea what theyre getting into but i know you ladies will kill it wherever you are :) xo alien noodle Pea - we couldnt be more different but your friendship means more than you know, never change bb Big sexy, TRJW, Con, stevo, PJ & prettyboyjoe aka saggin#2 - you boys are seriously the best friends ever, i always complain about the gandalf & gamecube nights but you know i already miss them...please still talk to me next year haha #woodsclanforlife AA aka Fam - surprised we made it through this year alive...im obsessed with you people even though you guys blow up my phone and take money from me. dont get soft on me in college ;)

AT M&D: Thanks for everything you have done for me throughout the past 18 years. I love you so much and don’t know where I’d be without you. KN: You’re really ugly, not athletic, and you send some really bad snaps, but I love you anyway. Btw, if you fight me, you will lose. AM: Fuzz, it started in 8th grade because of VRH, but I’m so glad that we were able to make the replay song, scarf dance, and practically die in a thunderstorm in LBI. Sorry for taking photos of everything, love you. LH: I’m sorry for crushing your hand in our music video; I hope you forgive me. Just some advice: don’t sleep with socks on, don’t sleep with a collared shirt on, and don’t take dirty water bottles from the trash. MC: Just remember, its “specific,” “regular,” and fish do NOT eat quarters! Loved playing FH with you, fhock on Nickleback. CL:1st lunch? Maybe by now I will have been the best student in physics, but probs not. Never forget the self clap down the line. Your height still amazes me to this day. I wonder if you will ever see your first snow :(. KM: Still don’t understand how you either have a heat stroke or practically have frostbite. I also still don’t ever want to fight you because you have marine in your back pocket. Fhockey 4ever. AW: Wewe, self clap down the line. Physics happened, and we made it, hopefully. I’m sorry I didn’t let you touch my camera in 8th grade, you can touch it now. Love you long time ‘ sings living life in the apocalypse*. VFIFL Thanks for not letting me wear combat boots, I still cry myself to sleep ‘ stabs with pencil*. MB: Megga, hopefully we are still doing the Chipotle dates, counting Cali’s presents at x-mas, and are still going to Darien vs. New Canaan games where I will be the bad-luck charm. TT: Thanks for being cool. JT: Thanks for making Claire throw up at Sylviums. CT: Thanks for throwing up at Sylviums. BB: Good news, I’m not intimidated anymore! MT: Thanks for being the best advisor EVER! AM & CM: Squad (shh). FH and L: Do big things out there girls! I love you all!! Congratulations Class of 2015!

Mom & Dad- Thanks for being my rock and supporting me throughout the insanity of senior year. Don’t move to California/Miami/ Hawaii while I’m gone. I love you and couldn’t have done it without you! Matt - Kill the next two years. They will be the hardest, but definitely the most memorable. They’re gonna fly by in a second, so take every chance you get to do something amazing. Can’t wait for you to be a big D1 wapo star. Stay in school jabroni. Gals (VRH, BN, VI, KS, JZ, KH, BN, SL, HH, SS) - The 11 of us have grown so close over the past couple years, and I have never met such beautiful, fabulous group of girls to call my best friends. I’m gonna miss our girls night shenanigans... I honestly have no idea how I’m going to survive college without you guys, but I know you’re gonna kill it wherever you end up. Drink lots of pink lemonade, xo ily all. AA - I am honored to call you guys the fam. We’ve seen it all, from the yolo challenge to penny pond and everything in between. King has never seen such a close group of kids, and they probably never will again. You’re all hilarious, genuine, loyal, amazing people and I love you all to death. Don’t be soft losers in college. #OTF

First off, thank you to all those who have helped me along the way. To my family, it has been tough but thank you for the unconditional love and support, wouldn’t be here today without you guys. To the best group of friends around, AA, who have made high school the great time that it was, thank you, love you guys. To my hockey buddies, Luke, Marc and Andrew, too bad we didn’t win a championship, but in the past four years we’ve made memories that will last me a lifetime. To my lacrosse buddies, Tuck, Jmac, Massucco, Andrew, Marc, Luke, Trump, Richie, you guys are the best group of teammates I could have asked for. To Coach Mac, Coach G and Saracino could never thank you guys enough for the lessons I have learned and the time we’ve spent together. To Kendra, you’re the best and thank you for always being there and thank you for everything along the way. To all those I have befriended along the way or have met thank you; I really appreciate the time together. Good luck in your future endeavors and thank you for everything.

Mom and Dad: Thank you for the constant love and support throughout the years. I know I haven’t been the easiest child to deal with, but I truly appreciate all you’ve done for me. I love you guys. Squad: Thank you for four unforgettable seasons between the white lines. We accomplished so much as a group and created memories we will cherish forever, such as beating KO 42-35, going to a New England Championship game, and most importantly, winning two FAA Championships. To my brothers since day one freshman year (KS, MM, JC, CM, DR, TG, and JG) thank you for making high school football the best time of my life and for always sticking together through blood, sweat, and tears. Love you guys. JC, TC, JB, LP, and EM: All I can say is yellow-tan chipotle... Stephen Mather, Jeliff Mill, and that one parking spot. Special thanks to the lieutenant and Daaaa Gaaa. We had a lot of fun and made a lot of memories. Good luck boys JG and MM: I’ve known you fellas my whole life, and I expect big things out of you. While our friendships took a toll when you went to King and I remained in public school, I am happy to have rekindled the flame over the past four years. I’m happy to have worked with you on the football field and in the weight room and have fun in the senior room. I hope we keep in touch, and best of luck with everything down the road.

Ladies and Gentlemen, its been one crazy ride. First things first, shoutout to the squad- ddehthvpe. We all know of the legend of the ghost and how he came to be and he will be remembered for sure. This ones to the guy who thinks he's funny, we all hope you succeed in doing this new passion of performing, and I hope to see you on a big stage on day. Next, PeeJay. You are one crazy mother father who I have grown to admire for your lack of work ethic. You inspire me and many others. Babs you have been there since the OG days of sophomore history class and man, it's been crazy fun, especially skiing, you schemer. To Tommy, soccer this year was immensely fun followed by all of the times skiing in the winter. I'll sure miss hanging with you and the crew next year. The times in Bumblecluck will be my favorite. Amber alerts and visits from Gandalph every so often only made them more interesting, followed by a trip to Cameron's. No matter what you hear about how close Cameron's is, it isn't close at all. Lastly, shoutout to az and Papa John's for the great sandwhiches, even though the wait time is usually about 30 minutes, still worth every bite.

High school is a lot like going to the zoo, except instead of being at a zoo for like three hours to soften the blow of your parents’ divorce, you’re in a school for like four years having a non stop existential crisis. METAPHORS. I came into high school full of wonder and a desire to learn, I left with three cats, I named them all Ross. I have made so many friends throughout the years, big shout out to Homeless Craig and Unnamed Tony, who despite his misleading title does actually have a name, it’s Tony. I’m going to miss all of the times I spent running away from that crazed gorilla we let loose in the school as a fun Psychology Social Experiment gone horribly awry, and I will especially miss hearing Mr. Lieterman’s weekly seminars on “Who Is the Rat King?” (Here’s a hint, the answer is always Mr. Lieterman). Yung Homie J-Pack (A.K.A Reverend Jeffrey Packer), and I will probably be halfway to Uruguay by the time you are reading this, and we pray that we find Becky and Joey and bring them back to civilization in time for the World Cup Round 2 (love to AA-). To my pup, my darling sloth of the sea, my beautiful blood diamond, my belle of the ball, my italian snickerdoodle, my amazing, fantastic, wondrous girlfriend, Jojo, I love you. To Austin Cieszko, England and LA and GovBall and everything since 3rd grade, you are the Lefou to my Gaston, and I know what you did to Ross, you monster. Josh Ford, why? Why do you do these things?! Where did you get all of these bees?! To Lindsay Lev, how you doin? Wanna come back to my place? Watch season three of Lost? And now I thank and apologize to the following: Amy Darnton, Dad Silence, Ms. Martino, Ms. Martino’s alter ego “ Dr. Martino”, Marion Haymann, Ryan Houck, Steve Soden, Jenna Temple, and last but not yeast, Tom Main. Tommy, I got your back. James, don’t beat me up. Stephen, TIIIIIIIINDER. Hannah, Vic, Kate, Beck, be safe out there. One page can’t fit all the homies, but I love all of you, let’s get this money.

TAG I want to thank everyone for a great 4 years of high school. Ghost Murph we did some real spooky stuff, too bad we couldn’t win the world cup. My form was off that day. My stroke is normally water. Also sorry about the cabin in the woods I know it got wild. But we still had good times like whenever we chilled with salata and you always left for some unknown reason. Mr. 45 you’re my boy. I’ll never forget our visit together and I never knew stop signs did that much damage. Also I want to know what you said to get hit like that but we’ll never know. I couldn’t have wished for a better friend. Cletus you’re a weird dude but you’re part of the fam though. PJ we had some good times in the missile. All those runs to Cameron’s and everything else. Naloon you’re a funny kid and I’m glad you’re such a good captain. If anyone deserves the C on his jersey its you. I’ll never forget the night at cherry lawn and chipotle after woods. Fluka Duke remember when we were just chilling at SLS and we had to book it. That was just dumb. Also, when all those years during NYF and we always lost to Newtown in the championship, we won the FAA’s twice though so its all good. JW the end game was so fun too bad escum died. You’re annoying af but I still love you bro. Shout out to all the boys from the squad I had a great for years playing with you guys, I want thank you because you guys made my senior season real special. Renn, Ev, and Kelly you better not disappoint Norwalk. I know Trey wont. Stumpy and Dylan good luck next leading; I know you boys can do it.

I couldn’t ask for a better group of friends, and I love you all to death. Gals: don’t know what I’m gonna do without you girls next year. You all deserve nothing but the best in life and im so lucky to be able to call you all my best friends. Tommy and James, You two are the best brothers and best friends anyone could ask for. You are both the meanest, funniest and most annoying people ever, but I love you guys so much. You have made me a lot stronger and more athletic with all those tackle football games we still play. 1do not know how I am going to manage being home alone all the time and having to deal with mom and dad by myself. Tommy, you are amazing and hilarious . I love watching you kill it in soccer and baseball because we always make eye contact and then just start laughing. Thank you for being the best brother in the entire world and, by the way, it is 2-1 me in the endless tripping game. James, words cannot describe the wonderful relationship we have, All those nights doing homework together in your room, we really have no time management! You are so caring and sympathetic and I’m so happy you are my brother. I love you both so much. I wish you guys the best of luck in college and I miss you so much already. Please come home as much as you can.

Love your favorite and only sister, Kelly

SMS Jatie - forever my homie, and forever like an egg...anyone who thinks they know you are wrong, only I do! My #1 foodie. Lillian- lets meet up and watch movies some time, I know you’ve never seen one before. Goobiemcgoober- you’re my sister, we’ve made so many memories together that are unforgettable. Always and forever my person. Carma- funniest girl out there, never stop doing you. Wouldn’t have wanted to go through my awkward stage with anyone else. Riley - my girlfriend! Keep giving zero’s. Lil Linda-1 may miss you more than anyone else, you’re ridiculous and I love you. Lex- let me know when you get organized. Mags- still wish you got kicked out of school. AGB- stay weird, Maine will never be forgotten. Beaglenator- you’re a star! Lets two step sometimes together. Emily- when in doubt, scream ADIOS! Ginnie- ginniehighroller for life AA- you guys are all crazy, I know one day ill regret not being in school a lot...Lord Allam- love you brother, thanks for always being there for me. Oh, and you’re a diva. Rick, Leen, Rei- Funniest, best, weirdest people I will ever know. I couldn’t be prouder to call you my siblings. Unreal memories together, I’m so lucky to have each of you in my life. Rick you’re a diva, Leen you’re my go to G, and Rei you’re the weirdest person ever that I cannot live without. Mom and Dadimpossible to love you guys more, thank you for constant support and for being my true heroes day after day. Isabel Peru- forever family, you’ve made me who I am today. ESTOP! You still owe me a trip to Peru. CANCUN- see y’all there for the honey moon, Mexico will still win, but at least I’ll have Tate.

IL- When I stop to count my blessings, you are always on that list. I have known you forever, and let me just say: there is no one like you. We have grown up side-by-side, through thick and thin, and our friendship never wavered. We have an unbreakable connection. It is my honor to say that my best friend is the kindest, most caring person I know. You are just as crazy as I am and I am so thankful for that. Thank you for pushing me to do my best, even when I wanted to quit. Thank you for listening to me, even when no one else would. Thank you for the anime recommendations and for the reassurance that I'm not the weirdest person on the planet. Thank you for being my best friend. You have truly impacted my life in a way no one else could. I am who I am because of you. ADI feel like we have known each other forever, and yet; it has only been three years! Sorry you had to put up with so much crazy, but hey, you stuck around ‘til the end! It’s almost like you enjoyed putting up with these ‘spoilers’ and ‘bad wolves.’ :P In all seriousness, Alicia, even though it has only been three years, we have grown pretty close together, bonding over random things and me trying to pull you into my obsession-driven imagination of the world. You were always there to be a shoulder to cry on or to be someone to talk to and laugh with. Your fantastic ideas and nononsense attitude gave me some confidence to face this world. Your strong sense of self and loyalty made me feel worthwhile. Wherever I go, you are always with me. Everyone- As you know, I am an avid fan of many things and enjoy making references to these throughout my day. You didn’t think you could make it through my scribbles page without reading some of my favorite quotes, did you? Maybe you have already read some and didn’t know it! Anyway, here are some of my favorite quotes that really speak to me and will hopefully show you my appreciation of my time here at King. “A good friend will see you for who you are, no matter what face you wear” (Riku, Kingdom Hearts). “Only when we let strangers in, can we find new ways to be ourselves” (Joshua, The World Ends with You). “If you want to enjoy life, expand your world. You gotta push your horizons out as far as they’ll go” (Mr. Hanekoma, The World Ends with You). “We’ve all got both light and darkness inside us. What matters is the part we choose to act on. That’s who we really are” (Sirius Black, Harry Potter). “Thinking of you, wherever you are. We pray for our sorrows to end, and hope that our hearts will blend. Now I will step forward to realize this wish. And who knows; starting a new journey may not be so hard, or maybe it has already begun. There are many worlds, but they share the same sky. One sky, one destiny” (Kairi, Kingdom Hearts). “You don’t just give up. You don’t just let things happen. You make a stand! You say no! You have the guts to do what’s right, even when everyone else just runs away” (Rose Tyler, Doctor Who). “Got it memorized?” (Axel, Kingdom Hearts).

Mom, Dad, Tessie, and Ryan I love you all so much! You have always been there for me and I don't deserve all the love and support you have given me over the years but I hope to be worthy of it one day. Try not to miss me too much but I know I'll be seeing so much of you it will be like I never left... don't forget to send me gifts in the mail though:) To my BFFS: Lord Scotti d, HA2, Nol, Steeeevan, JOE, Drew, mr pants man and the rest of Saggin#2 (con, jmac, Christopher)!! You all deal with my crazy on a daily basis and I'm not sure how you do it but I don't give you enough credit. Thank you for always being there for me and for making me miss being at school on the weekends. I can't even begin to explain how awesome you all are and I don't think I'll ever find a group that makes me laugh as hard as you guys do. Shout out to my gals (Vic delawrence, Beck, Joj, K8, Lyn, Hannibal, Kendy, Trice, Shan, mrs Pants man) and to AA aka fam I dont know what I would have done without you guys. I couldn't have asked for a better group of friends (all 20ish of you) to spend every weekend with. I really hope years from now I can still remember all of the funny moments we've shared because you are all truly the best kinds of people out there. I dont know how I'm going to be able to be apart from you all next year but I'm expecting to make up for it during our vacations. I love you all SOO much and I know you'll kill it in college, I expect nothing less than our usual... fam forever (our schools really don't know what they're in for). Special shout out to my best friend Steeeeeevan and mp who will be providing me with my chocolate milk every day this summer, and to tall guy despite your best efforts you still don't count.

JHL: Thanks for being the best big brother ever, always having my back, and keeping me on my toes. Love you long time :) HSL: I hope your car rides in the morning aren’t two boring without me blasting the music next year. Get ready for four years of the Henry Show.. I know your ready to star. LMH: I will never forget our travels through the Bronx, Long Beach Island, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, etc. I think its safe to say we have a a few struggles here and there. Our carpools to Stamford, dinner dates at Meli Melo, concert outings, and nail salon screw ups will never be forgotten. But despite all the ceramic shattering and math endeavors, I love you like a sister! AET: My little southern belle! I hope in a few years we are vacationing to Sea Island, drinking sweet tea, hunting on the reg. You are the most creative physics student. Ever. No class will ever be as fun. Nah Second lunch. MKC: Oh Mckenzie. You’ve made my life pacifically irreglear. All the late night lullabies, mistaken words, and cheerleader songs only make me happier that I met you. Never change kenzie. KEM: Thanks for always being there for me, especially to massage my shoulders while driving through the sketchy projects in New York, and telling me that it’s safe because a guy just picked up a trashcan. Teaching math with you and Ms. Adams will always on my list of craziest summers :). KCN: Even though I’m best friends with Alison (on snapchat), you still my number one ugly. We have the must fun together when we are annoying everyone else, like in the car on the way home from the poetry festival trying to catch your yawn on camera, iheartyou kata. AMM: Even though you literally stole like hundreds of dollars from me within the first six months of our friendship, I still love you. this are this., we are we., who goes there? Pineapple people will rule the tumblr world. Member that time I couldn’t keep my eyes open at Kate Nash? The fussa are attacking! tell me., tell me., what is it., tell me. Parties parties cheesburger and parties. AMW: Ali, you always make me laugh with your dances, songs, and scenarios. I will never forget all our walks to the Simon House, captaining soccer and lacrosse, and hibachi lunches. Weens, weinipop, Alison, physics, math, Spanish, english, history, lets face it., all my classes/ my life., would not be the same without you! xoxo. PD,LF: keep the midfield huddle strong without me. AN: your welcome for that cookie I got you that one time from the senior room.. I am forever scarred. Lacrosse Girls: Good luck next year ladies., thanks for a great four years! Soccer Girls: thanks for making my senior season that best season of soccer I’ve ever played. I love you guys so much! Ms. Temple: Thank you for being an amazing advisor, and even though I didn’t have you as a teacher, you still made me feel very special!

KHF Mama/Papa - How can I ever thank you for all you have done? Alles was ich kann sagen ist danke, und ich weiss nicht was ich werde machen ohne euch! Richard - You are the best little brother anyone can ask for (and yes, you’ll always be my little brother even though you’re taller than me)! You've been a part of my life for almost as long as I can remember and I don't know how I'll survive being away from you for so long! Frances - You were the first person I met at King as my buddy over the summer and I still remember exactly what we talked about, even though it seems so long ago. Grace - We were the new kids freshman year and look at us now! From England to Boston, we’re world travelers, but don’t forget, I’m the one who speaks German (and knowing “Hund” and “Handschuh” doesn’t count)! I’ll miss you and all of your crazy antics! Isi - We never did get around to planning our Europe trip for this summer, but it was fun thinking of all the places we would go. Who knows where we’ll end up, you in Japan and me somewhere else, but I’ve had a great four years with you! Jenny - Where do I start? You’ve managed to keep me in line these last four years and look, I haven’t wandered off yet! Who will keep me organized if not you? I’ll miss you, but remember, don’t go too wild (except maybe with the penguins)! Maya - I can’t believe that I’ve known you only for a year and a half but it seems like I’ve grown up with you. We managed to make sure that neither of us got lost, but somehow my backpack always had extra weight on it. Please don't throw any squashes (or books) when I'm not looking! Alicia - I’m waiting for when I hear that you’re in Italy visiting all of these amazing places and eating the food!!! I'll miss our early morning advisory sessions with you witnessing me freaking out every now and then. Giulia All the memories ... pre-prom was an interesting experience and I don’t think that anyone else can claim that they ran from a field to their house in a prom dress except for you! Luke Don’t forget, trees are objectively better than humans. I’ve had a blast debating with you these last four years, though I do agree that philosophy is not a rock. Watch out with those cannons! Bobby - Feesh!!! Physics was great talking to you! If anyone saw the math we did/didn’t do, they’d think we’re crazy (I mean, why doesn't 1/dog = God?). But really, I’ve had a great time and I’ll miss you!

CAB Dear, Ms. Leist, Mr. B. Mr. Little, Mr. G. Mr. Lear-Nickum, Mr. Houck, and Kev Ssonko Thank you all for helping me get through this journey and assisting me in my growth for the past four years. Without you all acting as my support group in my times of need I am not sure that I would have completed this journey and become the person who I am today To JP Lewis, and Alex Currie Thank you both for being light hearted individuals and good friends. I really appreciated the fun times and classes we had together. You both helped me get through long school day To Kev Ssonko Special shout out to you. Man I really appreciated having you in our grade and being you friend for the past four years. I appreciated the support, advise, guidance, and conversations that we had. You were at times a beacon in the darkest days. Your ability to get involved in the school in school is what spurred my interest in getting involved as well. Thank you and much peace and blessings on to you Cam

JCB Lawrence Vickers: You have convinced me over the last year that you are undoubtedly not a human being. I hope that you can refrain for another few years from kicking me in the jaw and combusting it. Even though we started off on a very unusual foot, somehow you have become a great/unusually repulsive friend. I hope that you learn before you go to college how to walk calmly to places so you don’t hurt anyone. And seriously next winter you need to learn how to stop for the sake of all the old people on a ski mountain.

Family: Thank you for all support you guys have given me over my four years. I know we have had our disagreements but I love you all and I could not have achieved what I had and grown as much as I have over the last 4 years without all of your confidence in me. J.C.: 17 the most well said phrase in the English language. I hope you never forget your flawless rice Krispy treats recipe. We have been unbelievably close friends since first grade and I am going have a hard time figuring out how to live without coming over every night for any possible sporting event to stall for school. The last 12 years have been Legend..................... Dary, and I hope the years beyond will be too. Finally, the one and only last two words that are fitting to cap off an unforgettable last year is undoubtedly, Petey Webber. S. L.: Over this last year we have become great friends and through unbelievably agonizing times and through great times I can’t imagine my life with you not in it. Your bipolar mood swings are the worst, but everyday I laugh so much when I am with you. I hope now over your next four years you can calmly proceed with your life knowing that you will never have to pick up a pencil again. I also hope that just one day you decided to dress like a singular stripe again. And Finally I wish you and your free spirit the best of luck in the future and thank you for being one of my best friends. T. C.: The Coach. Since 1st grade we have had countless memories, from the very under control coach harris to the equally as under control coach kross you have been like a brother to me for the last 12 years. If I had one piece of advice for you as you move forward, it is to stop swimming, it doesn’t do you any good. But other than that, I’m going to miss coming over and waiting till the next commercial to finally leave (until I show up the next day). And Finally, it needs to be widely recognized that we played the greatest golf round of all time, and that our goal for the next 4 years is to tee off in every possible weather scenario. E.M.: Chandelier with the first or last name? We may never know. I hope for the next four years Al Capone stays by your side, and remember there is always a sale at Pet Smart, and dockers.com. Also, you have to remember throughout college that your patella tendon is a weapon, only use it on rare occasions. We have been the closest friends since 9 years old and I can’t imagine spending the next four years without you saying incoherent and unequivocally stupid sentence right next to me. To say the least it going to be so hard to refrain from saying all my absolutely unacceptable ideas without you there. I hope you continue to be buff at F&M and ill miss you Paul yu.

JWC RLM: Lucky Duck/Giraffe, There’s no one I’d rather go to the aquarium and stare at majestic jellyfish with, or eat copious amounts of Asian food/guac/pie with, or watch good (or terrible) movies with. While there are many things that make us different I’m glad we’ve always found a way to celebrate this (aka my relentless teasing). I know it hasn’t always been easy, so thank you for sticking along. Love you. ICL: It’s been a long ride. We’ve known each other since we were ten years old. It’s hard to wrap my head around. I’ll always tell people how I infected your family with an obsession for Psych, and about your undying love for mac n’ cheese, and your proficiency for languages; in short, I love to brag about you. I’ve always cherished the relationship we’ve had. It hasn’t changed all that much and that’s perfectly alright. I’m going to miss the comfort you give me next year. I don't know what I’m going to do without you. GLL: We’ve had a lot of ups and downs (like a lot.) but regardless I’ve always thought of you as a sister. A true sister meaning we fight, but somehow we still love one another. I know it’s been quite a few rough years, both for you and me, but we’ve bother survived. Don’t forget that I introduced you to exotic food. Also, I might hire you later in life (with food as payment cause I’ll be broke) to give me massages. My back is going to be a mess without you. ARS: Sassy boy... I am going to miss our intensely sarcastic conversations in which neither of us even knows if we are joking any more. It’s been a crazy four years and we’ve both changed a lot, but thanks for sticking through it with me. Keep on drooling over those gourmet photos of food. I’ll miss stealing your fruit and sushi. NJS: Let’s not forget our picnics in a trunk in the pouring rain, and taking the dogs to the dog park, and that time you spilled gasoline on yourself, and cafe mirage duck watching, the day on the boat when we had no idea how to anchor it and the old man on the beach yelled us directions. FM: Douro. Enough said. I think when you cry with someone over food, it’s a bonding experience one cannot forget. Here’s to being a power couple. But in all seriousness, you have become one of my closest and most cherished friends, and I’ll forever be in debt for how much you helped me.

A T : Tulls our friendship began in middle school and we have becom e so close throughout high school. I can’t imagine not having you as a friend. I still do not and probably will never understand your love for fake and processed desserts. I love watching Scandal with you and don't be surprised if I kidnap Maddie one day. Love you lots Tulls. KCN: Your fear of eating oatmeal always makes me laugh. Even though we disagree about gloabl w arm ing......and your lack of organization stresses me out, I could never imagine not having you as a friend. AMM: We became friends that one-day in orange free, which I will never forget. I will always rem em ber English class with Carolyn and us lip singing Lana to each other. One day we will go to a Lana concert. Don't you worry child. CPL: Oh where to even begin. We became friends that one day you asked me for marble blast in bio. W hether we are getting lost in the Bronx or having the scariest car rides of our lives we always seem to have a good time. You are the Serena to my Blair. MKC: I will never forget when you told me you wished you were Marry Poppins so you didn't have to pack. The way you say regular and specifically is always entertaining. Love you the way you are Kenz. KEM: I will never forget when Caroline and I were scared out of our minds driving through the projects and you were so calm. I have loved becoming your friend throughout high school. AMW: I still rem em ber those sports study halls in middle school where our friendship began. I am so glad we have become so close in high school. I will never forget us watching those motivational videos in history or all that sesame chicken we ate junior year. You are going to do great in college and I can't wait to see you kick-butt in soccer.

ICL FJ: We’ve known each other for basically our entire lives, and it’s been awesome. I feel like I can tell you anything, anything at all, and you’ll listen, with or without sassy commentary, and help me. I’m going to miss you so so much next year. I need my sassy friend forever. KF: Pew pew! Thanks for always helping me on things I didn’t understand. I would’ve been totally lost without you. I’m still sad that our Euro trip never happened, but it could in the future!! AS: This brings me back to all the websites we used to make in middle school about leaving or staying. This time we’re all leaving... That’s a little sad, but I guess we’ll have to make a new weebly! You are my go-to math helper, and I don't know what I’ll do in college without you... I’ll seriously miss you next year. GC: You’re like my partner in crime, and it’ll feel weird without you next year. You’re like my soul twin sister. You know exactly what I'm thinking all the time. You are an amazing artist and always look beautiful every day. I’ll give you something pineapple-y to decorate your dorm room so that you always think of me and Psych. MC: What’s in the bag Maya? I’m so happy you came back! You’re a little prankster, and I can always count on you cheering me up or making me laugh. I’m going to miss you sooooo much next year! GL: Hey there, goalie. You are a little ball of energy and fun, always making me smile and laugh. There’s a void whenever you’re not around, and I don’t know how I’ll deal without you next year... AD: You are one of the nicest people I know. Your dog is the cutest thing ever, and thank you for putting up with all the times I showed you pictures of puppies. JG: You have a lot to say in a few words. I can always count on your honest opinion whenever and wherever. I can’t believe we won’t be in the same school next year, you’ve always been a constant presence that I can rely on. My parents: Thank you so much for always being supportive! I’ll miss you guys next year!

All Grown Up

A final faculty farew ell seems fitting to close this book. W ho are leaving our King com m unity? W ell, let us take a look. May you never dissect another cat, or make creations a little fruity. We'll miss you and your weather reports! Fly away, Mr. Gary Caputi! The Seniors and the Juniors know exactly what is verboten! They'll miss your guidance when you leave! So long, Mr. Steve Soden! The goal of every high school student is to graduate with Honor, To get into the college of their choice for that we thank you, Mr. Dave Bonner! No more grades and comments, no more teaching to the test. While it makes us sad to see you go, we wish you all the very best! Poem by Leslie Bruzik
