To Whom It May Concern We owe it all to the faculty. Without them, where would we be? We've given them the title ’postmen” because, in fact, that's what they are. They deliver to us more than can be imagined; their time, spirit, knowledge, and, most importantly, their heart. They put their heart into everything they do and, because of them, we are able to succeed. Thanx again. We ll miss you. Love the Class of '88 Sealed With a Kiss

STUDENT LIFE

Oh. Brucel We get the eaties for our Wheaties!

W e’re in Luf.

All in a day’s work.

Andrea, don't do that!

OK, kids, come and get it!

Yes, it’s for the yearbook. Smile. Everyone’ll wonder what you’ve been up to.

Holiday Program

Once again, under the direction of Ann Ostrow, the holiday program was a suc cess. The seventh and eighth grade chorus began the program followed by the fourth, fifth, and sixth grade chorus. The lower, middle, and upper school ensembles each played pieces. We were all impressed with their work and their new director, Tom Artin. As always, the Musical Theater Workshop did their very best and we all enjoyed the performance of Miguel Robles singing "Nached Paz” (Silent Night). With continued tradition and as the highlight of the show, "The Hallelujah Chorus’’ was sung by both faculty and students. "A n gels We Have Heard on High” closed the program on a happy holiday note.

LHT/KING Picnic Student Co u n cil’s first endeavor.the LHT/KING upper school pinic was a smashing success.lt was a time for the 9th grade as well as new students to become aquainted with the upper school way of life.lt was an afternoon of barbecues.volleyball.and a tug-of-war.What an awesome way to kick off the Year of Involvement.

TALENT SHOW This year, the talent show had more involvement than ever before. The cast had approximately seventy-two numbers. The performances, by fourth through twelfth graders, made the show a genuine night of stars.

LHT/King Homecoming Homecoming this year was a great success. It all began with a pep rally highlighted by the cheerleaders who shook the gym with their dance version of Mony Mony. When the morning of the day arrived, the alumni were home, the weather was beautiful and the excitement was high. The first games began at LHT where the Varsity Volleyball team played an exciting match against Sacred Heart Academy with a final score of Sacred Heart 0, and LHT 2. The Varsity Field Hockey team also had a good game against Rye Country Day. Their final score was Rye 2 and LHT 0. Then it was time for the annual soccer and football games at King. The soccer team put up a strong fight but were defeated in the end 3 to 0. King football, the mighty Vikings, had a great game against Rye Country Day and crushed them 20 to 0! The King/LHT track team made us proud when they ran against Hamden Hall. They won 16 to 44! The Homecoming activities were topped off with the traditional Homecoming dance where Jessica Zara and Jon Spelke were crowned Queen and King. All in all Homecoming was a big success and a terrific way to get the "Year of Involvement well on its way.

HALLOWEEN

r \ X

This Halloween the school was flooded with not only witches, ghosts, and goblins, but nerds, smurfs, and bunnies. The halls were filled with laughter and enthusiasm. The freshman class created a big bash with prizes, candy, and ghost stories that made your back shiver. Unfortunately this day only comes once a year.

A MURDER IS ANNOUNCED

The Drama Club, for its fall show, put on Agatha Christie's murder mystery, "A Murder is A n nounced” . With only a few weeks for rehearsals, the cast put on the show with a great deal of success. The inlead role of Miss Blacklock was played by a sopho more, Danielle Stillman. Her performance was excellent; she made a great murderess. Two seniors from King, David Mitchell and Bill Flamme, joined drama for the first time. Both added a great deal to the show’s success. Christine Frydenborg was the only LHT senior in the show and has been with the Drama club for six years. All in all, there were three King students and five LHT students. The show was a hit thanks to the cast, crew, and. of course, the director, Mrs. Forster.

The "Year of Involvement” has been exactly that, we have all given a little of ourselves to oth ers.

SPORTS

Nice boxers, though.

Up. up. and away!

See Mel run Run. Mel, run.

Cheerleading Unlike past years, this year's cheerleading squad was made up of almost all freshman. Everyone worked hard to keep the school spirit flowing. The Homecoming pep rally dance is becoming a tradition, this year to "Mony Mony". The squad also supported many LHT home games this year. All in all. the squad has maintained, if not surpassed, last year's energy and enthusiasm. Special thanks to our advisor. Petie, and all of the cheerleaders on the squad.

Love, Mom, Dad, and Erica

Your children are not your children. They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself. They come through you but not from you. And though they are with you, yet they belong not to you. You may give them your love but not their thoughts, For they have their own thoughts. You may house their bodies but not their souls, For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams. You may strive to be like them, but seek not to make them like you. For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday. Kahlil Gibran Melissa, Follow your Dreams. You have made us very proud. We love you. Dad, Mom, Deanna Jonathan and Max!

You've Come A Long Way, Baby! Keep It Up! Love, Dad, Mom, Rob ยง Debbie
