During King’s Annual International Management Week (KAIMW), the scholars from King’s partner schools will provide short workshops to students and share their research with the faculty. The purpose of this event is to enrich King’s students with international experience, exchange research ideas within the international scholar community, develop and deepen the relationships with King’s partner schools, and promote King’s University College internationally.

The workshop will address issues on innovation management and partnerships between universities and technological companies. The workshop will include a lecture and a group exercise. Dr. Krista Finstad-Milion Male/Female Equality in the Workplace: How far have we come? What does male/female equality mean in today’s workplace? The case of France. Dr. Iuri Gavronski: Sustainable Operations and Supply Chain Management - Contributions to the debate. The evolution of the sustainable operations and supply chain management over the last 10 years. Trends in the research field of sustainability management. Dr. Eduardo Giugliani: Trends and goals of Innovation. Innovation in the Exponential Society. TECNOPUC Ecosystem of Innovation, Brazil: framework and innovation mechanisms. Dr. Krista Finstad-Milion: Educating corporate sustainability – a multidisciplinary and practice-based approach to stimulating students’ learning. Dr. Glen Zhang: This presentation will demonstrate an empirical study on the effects of social networks which examine how the social network of an individual researcher, represented by his co-author relations, interact with his research achievements.

Dr. Changsheng Chen Chongqing Technology and Business University Visiting professor at HEC Montreal Department of International School Dr. Changsheng Chen is a visiting Associate Professor at HEC Montreal. He is an Associate Professor of Economics at Chongqing Technology. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Aix-Marseille, France. Dr. Changsheng’s research includes uncertain chocks, regional economics and inflation as well as supply in emergence situation (e.g. after an earthquake). He teaches risk management, financial engineering, macroeconomics and econometrics. He teaches in Chinese, French and English. His articles have appeared in academic journals, such as the China Economic Review and Journal of Grey System. He has also been invited to a local research project as project leader. He is the author of “Inflation Dynamics in China” which can be found in the National library in France.

Dr. Iuri Gavronski UNISINOS University

Visiting Professor at Ivey Business School – Graduate Program in Management Dr. Iuri Gavronski is a visiting scholar at the Ivey Business School, Western University. He has his PhD from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul – UFRGS. Dr. Gavronski’s research interests include the challenges global firms face when dealing with different sustainability requirements for their multiple markets and multiple operations’ and suppliers’ locations. He has over 15 publications in journals. Dr. Gavronski is the author of “Operations Management and Logistics” published in 2016. 8


Dr. Eduardo Giugliani Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul Professor at the School of Engineering Dr. Eduardo Giugliani, born in Torino, Italy, is a professor at the School of Engineering at PUCRS and the Vice-Director of TECNOPUC (PUCRS’s Science and Technology Park) in Brazil. He holds a PhD degree in Knowledge Management from Federal University of Santa Catarina, and a Master degree in Civil Engineering from Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. He is the author of national and international articles, book chapters, and most recently a book published in 2012, “National Agency of Entities Promoting Innovative Enterprises.” He is a board member of the International Congress of Knowledge and Innovation, the College of Americas and an editorial board member of Humanitas Journal.

Dr. Krista Finstad-Milion ICN Business School

Department of Human Resources and Organizational Behaviour Dr. Krista Finstad-Milion is an Associate Professor at ICN Business School, France. Her research and teaching interests include gender equality issues, action-learning and sustainable development. She is co-founder and president of EST’elles Executive, a professional women’s network with 200 members throughout Eastern France and Luxembourg. She leads the “Design Thinking for Sustainable Change” workshop which brings together international and French business, engineer and art students to accompany organizational CSR efforts. In 2014, Dr. Finstad-Milion was elected mayor of a rural village dedicated to sustainable development.

Dr. Glen Zhang East China University of Science and Technology Professor in the School of Business Dr. Glen Zhang teaches in the School of Business at East China University of Science and Technology. He completed a Bachelor of Science with a major in Biophysics at Nanjing University followed by a Master’s in Computer Science from University College London. He received a PhD in Economics at Fudan University. Dr. Zhang teaches undergraduates courses in Principles of Statistics, Econometrics, and Development Economics as well as graduate courses in Applied Statistics and Econometrics. He has published a number of articles, most recently “Impact of Dual Economic Integration on International Balance of Payment” in the Journal of International Trade, 2015.
