Cantatrice Voices
SPRINGTIME CLASSICAL CONCERT
Local ladies choir Cantatrice Voices are loving the music for their forthcoming concerts and have been working hard on their all classical programme which we are sure our audiences will enjoy. You will be enthralled, moved, excited and entertained on many levels as the music is so varied. Cantatrice Voices is the name given to two award winning choirs directed by Zoe Peate and accompanied by her husband Gary Prior but based in two areas – one in Horsham and the other in Steyning. They frequently join forces for concerts, competitions and socials and this year is no different. This is their programme which includes some wellknown and some new contemporary composers. They are joined by violinist Rob Campkin from Worthing; an excellent player who will play solo pieces by Piazzolla and Vivaldi as well as joining the

THE GROUP
ARE YOU UNATTACHED?
Many people find that spring is a time to reflect and make decisions about changes they would like in their lives. The Group, a Sussex club for unattached men and women aged 50+, has venues in Burgess Hill, Horsham, Lewes, Worthing and Brighton. It’s not a dating agency but it does offer a great opportunity to meet new friends of both sexes in a welcoming atmosphere.
Says Tricia Bentley, co-founder of The Group, “Organisations like ours attract more women than men. We’re not really sure why that is except that women generally tend to enjoy networking. The men who are our members would confirm, though, that it’s a very enjoyable club to be in and, once they’ve crossed the threshold, they all become actively involved with events.” says Tricia, “And we have a great time. So come on guys! Push open that door, come in and join us. You’ll be very welcome.”
There are walks, pub evenings, theatre trips, golf, lunches and dinners, holidays, and much more.
The Group has been going for 14 years and now has over 300 members. They’ve created a website, www.thegroup.org.uk, which tells you everything you need to know. Going into a room full of people you don’t know can be difficult, but not with The Group. You’ll get a good welcome. Where do they meet? The Group meet in Horsham on the 4th Monday of the month - take a look at www.thegroup.org.uk
