Prior Employer: United States Army “A day as an airborne Army intelligence officer starts early with a 0600 meeting followed by 0630 formation to salute the flag and physical training. After running 5-7 miles, I get ready for the rest of the day which might entail preparations for field exercises or upcoming deployments, airborne operations, or security paperwork and inspections. Days might be spent in the office, the motor pool, jumping out of planes, going on missions in a foreign country or practicing skills out in the woods. Every day is different.”

Prior Employer: Capgemini (Consultant) “The role of a research scientist at DeepMind (DM) is to plan research programs that advance state-of-the-art in artificial intelligence (AI) -- DM says “solve intelligence, use it to make the world a better place” :) Most days involve either a) brainstorming new AI algorithms (mostly math), b) writing code to verify an algorithm improves agent performance in simulation, c) sharing ideas with the community through publications / presentations, and/or d) reading papers, books, etc. for inspiration.”
