In my capacity as a major gifts officer, I am responsible for developing and implementing strategies to raise gifts of $100,000 or more to realize the goals of the university from individuals who want to make a deep impact through their giving. I represent Rice in the Southeast US, in “normal” days traveling 50% of the time across 13 states. I spend the majority of my days in individual meetings with donors, sending lots and lots of emails to set up those meetings, and working with internal partners to bring gift conversations into reality.”
