A good acoustic environment is important, which can be created with the aid of acoustic panels, screens and upholstered furniture. The interior design here creates a calm, safe space where people can sit comfortably, either alone or together with others. The library is also an optimal space for rest during the school day. It’s a place to which students can retreat and recharge their batteries. In addition to books, there are also technological solutions in place, where students can do their own research.
Three tips for an accessible and inclusive school library
Divide the space into clearly defined zones that encourage different types of use, e.g. a quiet zone for reading or self-study, and an active zone where students can discuss and learn together.
Use the interior design to create safe corners, where students can find their own space to take the time they need to recover. It’s a good idea to choose upholstered furniture that makes it more comfortable and strongly contributes to a good acoustic environment.
Plan the layout for easy access and enable staff to have a good overview of the entire area.

This is why a generous storage solution is important, as are durable materials, as the interior design is subjected to high levels of wear and tear.
