I am a Design Professional with several years of experience working with design and architectural firms, non-profit and faith-based community development organizations, and government agencies. I am an enthusiastic, independent, creative problem solver and am driven by a passion for improving the quality of life in the communities that I serve. e3 Design Collective Cincinnati, OH November 2011 to Present Entrepreneur As the founder of this collective I take on freelance graphic, community, and urban design projects that contribute to environmental protection, social equity, and the local economy. I have also designed and dstributed note cards featuring Cincinnati landmarks for sale at local businesses and attractions. Plan Cincinnati Cincinnati, OH September 2009 to Present Member of Transportation and Urban Design Working Groups I have used my expertise in the field of urban planning to help develop and evaluate goals and strategies for the transportation and urban design elements of Cincinnati’s comprehensive plan. JZMK Partners Irvine, CA June 2006-January 2009 Urban Planner As a member of a project team I: • Helped design a wide range of projects, including master planned residential communities, urban infill sites, mixed use town centers and resort communities both in the United States and overseas • Utilized a combination of hand and computer drafting and graphics to generate conceptual, illustrative and schematic site plans of proposed developments • Researched, wrote, and prepared the graphic layout and text of design guidelines, project summaries, marketing booklets and other project documents • Produced computer models of architectural details, individual buildings and entire developments to help designers, city officials and clients better visualize and understand complicated three dimensional projects. Vision Land Development Cincinnati, OH January-March 2006 Planning Intern I prepared detailed computer models of two proposed mixed use town center developments in the Midwest which were used to market the projects to investors as well as prospective retail and office tenants. Municipality of Thira Santorini, Greece June-August 2005 Urban Planning Consultant As part of an international team of students and faculty I helped the residents of Santorini develop a community and economic development plan which won the American Planning Association’s Carole R. Bloom Award for Tourism Planning.

Interfaith Hospitality Network Cincinnati, OH September-December 2010 Volunteer Coordinator At this family homeless shelter I served as the point of contact for twenty seven hosting congregations, recruited and trained volunteers to help at the day center, and assisted the staff and board with event planning and public relations. First Unitarian Church Cincinnati, OH September-December 2010 Volunteer Coordinator I helped train and coordinate twenty volunteer tutors and administered a biweekly multisensory tutoring program for academically challenged kindergarten students at South Avondale Elementary. Bridges for a Just Community Cincinnati, OH June of 2009 and 2010 Leadership Institute Counselor I helped prepare and present a successful week long leadership institute for 50 high school students. The program used activities, workshops, and discussion groups to help students confront issues of class, race, gender, and religion. Saint Leo’s Catholic Church Cincinnati, OH April 2009 -June 2010 Grant Writer and English as a Second Language Instructor From April to September of 2009 I ran an English as a Second Language program for refugees. In June of 2010 I wrote a grant application to fund the church’s ministries and helped the staff prepare material for future applications.
