Dear Patagoniars,
This is me.
Entrepreneur,
writer,
and swimming teacher from beautiful Brussels, Belgium.
But this is my favorite picture of me:
It was taken when I was 18 and living it up it in Southern South-America
“Mom, gonna spend my savings before the money devaluates.
Way before I started fashion school
and way before I dropped out.
You see, clothes and I have a complicated relationship
I love how clothes allow us comfort
and help us express ourselves,
but I dislike that there are far,
far too many clothes in this world,
not to mention the ridicilous fashion industry working conditions.

I came to the conclusion fashion school was not a good start for me to make a contribution to the world
and studied communication design instead.
I wanted to learn how to bring across information so that consumer behavior changes for the better.
Ironically, the best example my teachers could give me was this:
For the past three years I’ve been applying my communication design skills to promote urban cycling, ethical banking and the Antiheroes and FuckUp movements.
Every now and then I think:
“Damn, wouldn’t it be cool to move to California and work with these Patagiona people,
Or work for Patagonia from anywhere really. As long as I can ride my bike I’ll be happy.
And so, I’d like to invite you to safeguard my resume in annex to this mail,
because should any vacancy in your communications team become available,
It would be my honour to apply.
I thank you so much for your attention
and wish you the best of luck not selling jackets.
Yours, Kira
