A Commitment to American Manufacturing
Proudly Supporting Build America, Buy America
Our products not only meet the highest industry standards but also align with critical government statutes like the Build America, Buy America Act, ensuring compliance for federal projects.
The Build America, Buy America Act (BABAA) was enacted in 2022 under Sections 70901-70952 of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Act and ensures that manufactured products for federally funded projects are made predominantly in the U.S. It requires that at least 55% of the components of a product must be mined, produced, or manufactured domestically.
All Kirlin products bearing the "Made in the USA" mark meet these criteria, making them eligible for federal project use. You can also use the product filter on our website to find fixtures that comply with BABAA. You can find a general letter showing our compliant product families here. Our team is happy to furnish project- or product-specific complinace letters on request.
In addition to qualifying for BABAA, Kirlin is also the only lighting manufacturer that is certified with both a HUBZone (Historically Underutilized Business Zone) and WOSB (Women-Owned Small Business) compliance. Each of these certifications can be the difference-maker on a federally funded project.
