The New Zealand Ski Season The ski season in New Zealand can differ slightly between the regions but typically runs from mid June to early October. The peak time for travel is July - August and it’s always a good idea to book as far ahead as you can, especially if you are travelling during school holidays or a special event period. We recommend that you pre-book your itinerary to avoid the possibility of accommodation not being available in your chosen town or locality. Pre-booking will ensure a stress-free holiday.

Mt Ruapehu Pass Mt Ruapehu is home to New Zealand’s most awesome natural skiing and snowboarding terrain; huge snow filled basins, steep chutes, drop-offs and secret powder stashes. Mt Ruapehu offers something for everyone: fantastic learners’ facilities, terrain parks for snowboarders and free skiers of all abilities, and the best spring skiing in New Zealand. Ski Mt Ruapehu Mt Ruapehu is home to the North Island’s only two commercial ski areas, Whakapapa and Turoa, and provides a unique skiing experience in that it is an active volcano and part of a dual World Heritage Area. Both ski areas have fully sealed access roads and world class facilities, including licensed cafes, retail stores, equipment hire and ski schools. The terrain at both ski areas is varied and vast, making them suitable for all ability levels. Mt Ruapehu’s main settlements are the ski towns of Ohakune and National Park. Ohakune provides easy access to Turoa Ski Area, whereas National Park is located at the foot of Mt Ruapehu, making it an ideal base for those wishing to visit Whakapapa ski field.

Whakapapa Whakapapa Ski Area is located on the north-western slopes of Mt Ruapehu and is New Zealand’s largest ski area. An area separate from the main ski area, Happy Valley allows beginners to progress without being distracted by other skiers. It has its own cafe, rental complex, ski school and slow moving chairlift. Turoa Turoa Ski Area is on the south-western slopes of Mt Ruapehu. The Alpine Meadow beginner area at Turoa is separate to the main ski area, so beginners can learn in a safe environment. 1.2 You acknowledge and warrant to Kirra that you have accessed, read and accept the Terms by making a booking with Kirra.

b) For bookings cancelled after reservations have been confirmed and up to 45 days prior to departure, a cancellation fee of $150 per person will apply. Between 44 and 21 days prior to departure, 20% of the total cost will apply. Between 20 and 11 days of departure, 50% of the total cost applies and within 10 days of departure, 100% of the total cost applies.

2. Contracting Party 2.1 Any reference to Kirra in these key terms and conditions means Kirra Tours Limited Partnership.

3. Price & Currency 3.1 All prices quoted in this brochure are in Australian Dollars. 3.2 GST is included in all prices quoted in Kirra brochures, unless specified otherwise.

a) Any cancellation charge levied by the airline noting most airfares are non-refundable.

c) Earlybird specials (car hire and/or accommodation) are non-refundable once paid in full. d) All ski passes are instant purchase and are non-refundable and non-transferrable once booking has been confirmed.

16. Delays To Travel

3.3 Pricing is subject to currency exchange fluctuations, Kirra Holidays reserves the right to amend without notice any prices in this brochure.

16.1 Kirra does not incur any liability for delays or cancellations of flights or other travel arrangements purchased by travel agents or clients independent of Kirra.

3.4 Pricing will be guaranteed only after Kirra has received total payment.

17. Vehicle Rentals

3.5 Prices in this brochure are valid from 1 June 2015 and supersede any previous brochures.

3.6 All accommodation prices in this brochure are per night, based on 2 people travelling. A surcharge may apply if there are more than 2 people staying in the room.

4. Deposit 4.1 Except as otherwise specified in these Terms, a deposit of $150.00 per person is required within 7 days of booking confirmation from Kirra and the issue of our confirmation invoice will be confirmation of your contract with Kirra and acceptance of these Terms.

5. Final Payment 5.1 Except as otherwise specified in the Terms, the balance of the Price of your booking shall become due and payable not less than 45 days prior to your travel departure date.

6. Inclusions & Exclusions 6.1 Without limitation, unless specified otherwise by Kirra in writing, the Price of your booking shall not cover airport arrival/departure taxes or any other airline fees or charges, travel agent fees and charges, charges for excess luggage, personal services, gratuities, laundry, drinks, meals, pre-travel documentation, personal accident and medical expenses and incidental expenses including all communication charges, all of which are your sole responsibility.

7. Surcharges 7.1 Any Price quoted by Kirra may be subject to surcharges due to special events and public holidays.

8. Late Bookings 8.1 Bookings made within 14 days of departure require substantial extra processing and incur additional communication costs. Kirra reserves the right to charge an additional fee of $50 per file to cover these costs. Full payment is required at the time of booking and a minimum of 3 business days is required for the pre-purchase of ski passes.

9. Variations & Cancellations By Kirra 9.1 Kirra reserves the right to vary or cancel any tour or other travel arrangement at any time up to and following your travel departure date. You will be notified promptly of any such variation or cancellation.

10. Document Reissue 10.1 A fee of $35 per file will apply to reissue and dispatch documents. Lift ticket vouchers and equipment rental vouchers cannot be reissued.

11. Earlybirds & Bonus Offers 11.1 To receive the specials and prices shown in this brochure, your booking must be placed by 31 May 2015, unless otherwise indicated. Individual operators may have special terms and conditions relating to Earlybird offers. To confirm details of these offers please contact Kirra.

12. Ski Passes & Packages 12.1 All prices for ski passes and packages are per person, per day, unless otherwise stated, and are instant purchase.

13. Suggested Itineraries 13.1 All prices are based on per person. Family itineraries are based on two adults and two children travelling. Surcharges apply if the children are aged above the Kids Ski Free ages relating to the particular itineraries listed.

14. Kids Ski Free 14.1 The free kids ski passes are only available if the children are under the ages specified in this brochure at time of travel.

18. Refunds 18.1 Once departure date is reached, cancelled or unused services/vouchers are not refundable or transferrable. Vehicle early return does not qualify for refund. Refunds cannot be authorised by New Zealand service providers.

19. Snow Conditions 19.1 New Zealand ski areas provide reports on current snow and weather conditions. Kirra cannot under any circumstances be held responsible for prevailing conditions. Clientâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s holiday arrangements cannot be cancelled, altered or amended once arrangements have commenced due to snow or weather conditions. Ski fields may open later or close earlier in the season due to relative conditions. They may also be closed from time to time throughout the season which is out of the control of Kirra and does not qualify for any refund.

20. Passports and visa requirements 20.1 You are solely responsible for all passport and/or visa requirements for travel to and from New Zealand (if applicable).

21. Health requirements 21.1 Payment of your deposit to Kirra (directly or through your travel agent) shall constitute a warranty by you that you (and any other persons covered by your booking) are sufficiently fit and healthy to undertake the relevant tour or other travel arrangements.

22. Travel insurance 22.1 Travel insurance is strongly recommended and is not included in the Price of your booking.

23. Consumer protection legislation 23.1 Nothing in these Terms will operate to exclude, restrict or modify the application of any of the provisions of the Trade Practices Act 1974 (Cth) or any equivalent State or Territory legislation in Australia, the exercise of a right conferred by such a provision, or any liability of Kirra for breach of a condition or warranty implied by such a provision, where it is unlawful to do so.

24. Liability

24.4 Indemnity: You agree to indemnify Kirra for any loss or damage suffered by Kirra as a result of, or in connection with, any breach of these Terms or any negligence or wilful default, by you (or any other person covered by your booking). 24.5 Force Majeure: Kirra shall not be liable for any delay or for any failure to fulfil its obligations under these Terms (or any service obligations to you) if the failure or delay arises directly or indirectly from or as a consequence of any Force Majeure Event (as defined in the Terms).

25. General 25.1 The Terms may be subject to amendment by Kirra from time to time. 25.2 Additional terms and conditions (over and above those specified in the Terms) may apply to your booking and will be advised by your Kirra representative at the time of booking (or variation thereof). 25.3 The Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts. 25.4 This summary together with the Terms constitute the entire agreement between the parties about its subject matter and any previous agreements, understandings and negotiations on that subject matter have no effect.

26. Definitions Additional Fees means the fees specified in clause 8. Travel arrangements means any travel plans in respect of which Kirra have provided services (for example, any independent holiday or vehicle hire). Price means the price quoted by Kirra for any tour or other travel arrangement (or amendment thereof) in the relevant booking confirmation (or amendment thereof). Terms means the full Kirra terms and conditions applicable to your booking, including any additional terms and conditions relating to your booking as advised by your travel agent at the time of booking. Travel departure date means, in respect of any tour or other travel arrangement, the first date in which pre-booked arrangements made by Kirra commence.

27. Illustrations All photographs in this brochure illustrate genuine events and places. Their use or particular positioning in this brochure should not be interpreted as confirmation that those events and places will necessarily be seen. 28. Validity Tours and prices stipulated in this brochure are valid from 01 June 2015 until 31 October 2015, subject to variation in accordance with these conditions. This brochure released: January 2015.

24.1 Responsibility: You acknowledge and agree that Kirra accepts no responsibility and will not be liable to you or any third party for any loss, cost or damage (including loss of enjoyment) suffered directly or indirectly in connection with: (a) any risks or other aspects of any tour or other travel arrangement notified to you by or on behalf or Kirra (in these Terms or otherwise); (b) any change to your itinerary or delays in departure or arrival times of aircraft or otherwise during the conduct of any tour or other travel arrangement; (c) any loss or damage to your baggage; (d) any personal injury or death resulting from the acts or omissions or negligence of any third parties providing goods or services to you during your tour or other travel arrangements including, without limitation, air carriers, hotels, restaurateurs, transportation providers and/or medical personnel; or (e) any loss of enjoyment by you due to circumstances outlined in these Terms or otherwise beyond Kirra control. 24.2 Total liability: Notwithstanding any other provision of these Terms, and to the maximum extent permitted by law, Kirra maximum liability to you or any third party (including any claims of negligence on the part of Kirra) is limited to the amounts actually paid by you with respect to your booking (excluding insurance premiums, Variation Fees and Additional
