A re-design of Boots ‘17’ cosmetic range. The range has been split down into 6 colour coded categories; face, eyes, lips, nails, tan and tools. Within these categories there are multiple products and ranges.

The packaging will be printed on GF Smith Colorplan Bright White 270gsm. The ‘17’ logo will be embossed and UV spot varnished.

BOOTS 17 COSMETICS (2/5) Each category has an allocated colour in order to differentiate the product types. The labels have been produced in a variety of ways in order to allow the designs to be applied to different product styles whilst remaining coherent.

The designs will then be aptly applied to outer packaging as well as the product itself. QR codes have been produced and applied to the outer packaging as a direct link to product information; thus reducing the amount of information required to be presented on the outer packaging.

BOOTS 17 COSMETICS (3/5) The product design is predominantly white in order to create a clean, fresh feel about the product and for the type to become a focal point of the design.

RANGE Each product has a colour coded outer packaging to encase the product.

BOOTS 17 COSMETICS (4/5) Boots ‘17’ cosmetics will be available to purchase online through the Boots website.

DISTRIBUTION Boots ‘17’ Twitter, Facebook and YouTube sites will be accessible through a link on the Boots ‘17’ website, as well as directly on the hosting sites themselves. A phone and tablet app will also be available to make Boots ‘17’ cosmetics accessible on the move.

The mobile phone app will be available on iPhone, Android and Blackberry devices to allow maximum accessibility for users.

BOOTS 17 COSMETICS (5/5) The product will be distributed in store using the above presentation. The Boots staff will be given t-shirts to wear instore in order to promote the Boots ‘17’ makeup range.

DISTRIBUTION Posters will be displayed in the Boots store windows and the outside environment to create interest about the Boots ‘17’ products.

White shopper bags will be used, each bag will be coloured to one of the 6 colours used throughout the Boots ‘17’ product range and have a QR code positioned upon it. The ‘17’ will be embosed and UV varnished. A sticky label will be used to seal the shopping bag.
