ST MARTINS PRACTICE - Brand Identity - Logo Brief -

Concept

To create a brand identity for a Leeds based GP practice, that can be applied across a range of collateral from printed material to signage, creating an experience for the clients.

To logo is based around family, that the pratice is a welcoming as a home is. In the form of a tree like structure it signifies strength and health, where as the circle represents unity. The logo is both welcoming and friendly. The colours used are fresh and relative to wellbeing and positivity.

St Martin’s Practice is relocating and will be situated in the same building as a competing GP Practice, therefore must stand out over its competitor being recognised as a friendly, welcoming place.

The logo can be used both horizontally and vertically according to the format in which it is being used.

ST MARTINS PRACTICE - Door Signage, Uniforms, Clip-boards Door Signage

Uniforms

Clip-boards

The door signs for the rooms use the logo icon along with the Doctor’s name, lazer-cut from white acrylic and duplexed with a turquoise acrylic, keeping a consistency across the brand.

For the doctor and nurse uniforms, the logo would be stitched using turquoise thread above the pocket of a white overcoat.

The clip-boards are duplex acrylic with the logo cut from white acrylic on the reverse side, revealing the turquoise acrylic underneath.

ST MARTINS PRACTICE - Waiting Room - Children’s Area Interactive Wall Research showed that children need something to entertain them whilst in the waiting room of GP Practices, to keep them busy and to keep their parents sane. The interactive wall incorporates the logo in a fun way, whilst reinforcing the brand identity within the waiting room. With the logo being representable as a ‘tree’, the children are invited to decorate it with leaves, animals, etc. With this being a fun activity it is also educational as they are subconsciously learning about the four seasons, and how a tree changes according to the time of year.

The decorations are made from acrylic with velcro on the reverse, making them easy to stick to the velcro wall, and allowing the children to move them around. The boxes that contain the decorations would prompt the children with questions to what the tree would look like during each season.
