Picking The Right Cooking Oil Is Key. Have you ever noticed an odd flavor when deep frying?

The Trick To Perfectly Crisp French Fries Is Double Frying.

First start with Russet potatoes, then choose the size of fries you want by selecting either the 1/4" or 3/8" cutting blades. As you cut them, add your raw fries into an ice water bath. Keep them in the refrigerator for at least an hour. Heat up your Emerilware Deep Fryer. Cook potatoes on the medium heat setting until just blonde and tender. Drain fries on paper towels or a paper bag for at least a half an hour. When you’re ready to finish your fries turn the fryer to the highest setting and place the cooled potatoes into the hot oil. Here’s What You Need To Know To Brew Perfect Coffee.

Start with fresh whole beans and don’t buy more than you will use within 10 to 14 days. Store them in an airtight container away from light and heat. If you need to store beans longer than two weeks, store them in the freezer but never in the refrigerator! Grind your beans right before brewing and make sure you’re achieving the right grind for the brewing method. French Presses require a very coarse grind while brewing espresso calls for a very fine grind. Brewed coffee is 98% water so use clean, freshly filtered water and make sure it reaches the optimal brewing temperature (195˚ to 205˚). Add the right amount of coffee. The rule of thumb is 2 Tbsp. per 6 ounces of water. But, if you like your coffee stronger or weaker you can adjust the amount of grounds accordingly.

The basic history of the mixer originates from Herbert Johnson’s ideas to make life in the kitchen easier. He came up with the idea in 1908 after watching a professional baker struggle with a bowl and a spoon. Johnson, founder of Hobart Manufacturing, invented the first 80 quart Hobart mixer in 1915. In 1919 Hobart Manufacturing gave some of their executives mixers to test in their homes so that they could stew over possible names for the appliance. “I don’t care what you call it, all I know is that it’s the best kitchen aid I’ve ever had,” said one of the executive’s wives. The KitchenAid brand was born and with it an American icon. In 1936 the look and size of the mixer was streamlined to fit on ordinary kitchen countertops. This new mixer was such a success the design was patented. To celebrate their 90th Anniversary, KitchenAid has introduced a Limited Edition tilthead stand mixer with a vibrant candy apple red finish and a unique 5 quart glass mixing bowl.
