Meet Our New Director! Kitsap Regional Library Board of Trustees is pleased to announce that Jason Driver has been named Kitsap Regional Library’s new Library Director. Jason brings to our Library 20 years of progressive experience in public library service, serving most recently as a District Chief at Chicago Public Library, where he oversaw 14 branches and the supervision of 125 staff. Jason shared, “I am thrilled to accept the position of Library Director at the Kitsap Regional Library. They have demonstrated a track record of community partnerships, stellar public service, a caring and hardworking staff, an engaged board of trustees and a dynamic foundation. We were attracted to Kitsap County because of the breathtaking natural beauty, excellent school system and it’s a wonderful place to raise a family!” Jason’s tenure as the new Library Director begins on February 1, 2022. New Silverdale Library Update You may have noticed the new Silverdale library is not quite open, but we’re almost there! Due to some unexpected supply chain issues, our opening has been delayed to this coming spring. The new library will feature an outdoor play area, more public computers, meeting rooms, places for adults, kids, tweens and teens, plenty of parking and over double the space. We cannot wait for you to see it! Learn more about the new library at KRL.org/newsilverdale.
