IGW1000 Media Converter

IGW1000 Media Converter A media converter must be more than just a converter from light to electrical signals. The IGW1000MC was designed with these words in mind, and the result is a low-powered, feature-full but yet affordable end-point demarcation point for your optical FTTx network.

The IGW1000MC features all the must-haves: • Gigabit forwarding • Optical auto detection (100BaseBX10/20,1000BaseBX10/20) • Advanced CATV (optional) • IEEE802.3az EOAM But besides that, also more advanced features like: • Ethernet and IP filters (layer 2-4) • MAC limiting • IP source guard • Jumbo packets • Optical signal monitoring (CATV and DATA) • SNMP v1/v2 interface • VLAN forwarding/altering and filtering • Link propagation • Green (power management) All is done in hardware, resulting in blazing wirespeed gigabit transfer rates. Yet, the IGW1000MC can boot in less than 2 seconds, giving the instant-on feeling for the end user. With it’s IGW1000MC, Icotera raises the bar on media converters.
