Rosella sushi comes to KPT Lucarell isn’t the only one making a splash this summer.

The Kennebunkport Resort Collection is coming up on the one-year anniversary of its beautiful Via Sophia by the Sea, an extension of the Via Sophia at the Hamilton Hotel in Washington, D.C.

The restaurant, in the space formerly occupied by Pearl, made its debut last summer and quickly became a favorite.

It’s a place “where classic Italian dishes and fresh-from-the-boat seafood are paired with bespoke beverages and a discerning wine list.”

Not resting on its laurels, the KRC is launching the widely anticipated Rosella KPT this summer — the first sustainable sushi restaurant in the Kennebunks.

It will be located in the Grand Hotel, on Western Avenue in Lower

Village, and is also a branch of its parent restaurant, Rosella in NYC.

“Rosella was originally founded on the principle to nurture the uniquely interconnected relationships that make up our ecosystem,” according to a press release, “and will introduce its responsibly farmed and caught sushi to Kennebunk, Maine’s emerging culinary destination.”
