WHAT IS THE CROSSING
ABOUT?
The Crossing is committed to helping people grow spiritually by developing a relationship with God, and the way we know God is through Jesus. Jesus shows us who God is, and through him God is putting right everything that’s gone wrong with the world and with us. We’ve found that the more people get to know Jesus, the more they are drawn to him and genuinely want to follow him.
Because we want to help people get to know God, the Bible is foundational to everything we do. There we learn what God is like and what it means to follow him. In the Bible we find answers to the ultimate questions of life. We aim to teach the Bible in such a way that you realize that it’s relevant to every area of life, to whatever you’re going through.
The more we understand and believe what the Bible tells us about Jesus, the more it changes us from the inside out. And we get excited when people at The Crossing share with us how their lives are changing. They say they are “repairing relationships,” “finding peace,” “becoming more patient,” “seeing their marriages healed,” and much more. God knows what each of us needs and is at work in every one’s life in a little different way. At The Crossing we are all together in the lifelong process of becoming the people God created us to be.
The kind of change that we all want to see doesn’t happen apart from relationships. Unfortunately we often overlook how important they really are. But relationships matter to God. He designed us to live in community, which just means that we need each other and don’t do nearly as well when we try to live on our own. At The Crossing we do our best to foster real relationships that bring encouragement and joy to life.
HOW DO I GET
INVOLVED IN THE CROSSING?
The size of The Crossing brings opportunities and challenges. There’s the freedom to go at your own pace while you consider whether this church is the right fit for you. People of all ages and places in life call The Crossing home, and a range of diverse ministries provides everyone a place to get involved.
You can learn more about these opportunities at the welcome table in the foyer where there are people to answer your questions and even show you around. While you’re there, sign up for our weekly email that tells about upcoming activities. The website is also a great way to learn more: you can find past sermons, the church’s blog, Every Square Inch, and detailed information about ministries and staff.
Once you know what’s going on, you will have to take some initiative to get involved. When you’re ready, here are two easy ways to take the next step. •
The Newcomer’s Lunch is offered every other month on Sundays. It's an opporunity to sit at a table and share a meal with a pastor or staff member along with others who are new. You'll learn more about the church and be able to ask questions.

The Discovery Class, taught by the pastors, unpacks the biblical convictions and key distinctives that drive The Crossing. We’ve found that people really grow in their faith as we dig in to the Bible on a deeper level. This six week class is offered three times a year.
For specific dates, times, and places, check at the Information Table or on the website.
