INSTABILITIES
the ‚me‘ I want others to see
„INSTABILITIES: The ‚me‘ I want others to see“ or the perception of one‘s individuality in the fast changing faces of fashion in the world „at large“.
This authorial vision of clothes is an opportunity to discover a very personal relationship between a person and a piece of clothes, because a fully new form is created on every single human body. Familiarizing with the garment has the ambition to be an unique experience. The collection presents eight women outfits set for a modern, confident and powerful woman who loves to explore herself. Mostly hand-made materials are based on the principle of fabric sandwiching. By this technique, the double-side efect of fabrics was achieved. The materials are soft and keep the shape well at the same time. The interesting details created by sandwiching are embossed numbers creating a kind of pattern.
The patterns are reduced to abstract shapes, basically a piece of fabric, that can be folded and shaped in countless ways into a form of very individual garment; namely not only fitting the measurements of the wearer, but also considering her current mindset. This attitude to making the clothes is more dramatic than common sewing. The silhouettes are distinctive, strong and generous on one hand, on the other side they evoke a sense of temporality, passing time and instability. The choice of strong primary colours used in blocks is a reference to the way we very often think and to the social constructs about our lives, other people, cultures and clothing that we yield to and that often remind of closed „boxes“ of imagination and prejudices.

walking silk

Vagueness. A journey somewhere. Listening to one’s own mind. Looking for the equilibrium and calm. A way to another dimension where time suddenly stops. I am surrounded by an eternal silence. Freedom. Calming down.

le cache - cache
Probably, one of the first important findings, which a child makes, is that the world is divided into two sections: „here inside“ and „there outside“. „Here inside“ is our consciousness, emotions, memories, thoughts and visions. „There outside“ is everything else, that’s what we perceive through the senses. Isn‘t it possible, that I exist only alone and that everything I perceive and see are just illusions which do not actually exist outside of me?

A man, a woman. At the first sight two totally different worlds, two different human beings. However, in their very core they are harmonically connected with each other. Although they might live one without another, in case they unite forces, they become stronger. They lend a hand to their individuality, influence and complement each other. HE is often the support for her and the guardian. He is the certainty she may rely on. She finds security in his arms. SHE is a stream of tempers and emotions. She is unpredictable and variable. The sensitivity and heart are closer than rules. Both outfits keep their own uniqueness. The uncompromisingness and directness supposed in masculine behaviour are hiding in the sharp, straight silhoutte of the man outfit. The frisky lines of the woman dress let us think about the volatility, imagination and emotionality. Despite all the differences, both outfits visually shade into each other at the end, as the symbol of unity and harmony.
