Women are choosing to work from home, whether that be a career driven choice or family orientated the home has become the 24/7 daily permanent for an ongoing number of females. Therefore, the home is now being considered the ‘office’ and ‘sanctuary’, not just the bricks and moulter that create the home. As a result, furnishings have become ultra-soft and feminine whilst textures are tactile without harsh edges. The overall colouring within the house has become lighter, brighter and more calming. The colour palette that’s really come through lately is a lovely lavender essence, and a fresh neo-mint. Self-love is continuing to trend, across many platforms and industries. Social media is continuously reminding users to take time out, reset, relax and unwind, whilst the health and beauty sector are providing natural sustainable products to have a sense of escapism with. Nature is finding its way into the home, at a rapid speed. Going hand in hand with the mindfulness macro trend, as this encourages more oxygen into one’s home like a breath of fresh air. Plants and flowers for most, seem to immediately boost the mood and create a tranquil environment which is ultimately what the macro trend is pushing people to do. Welcome happiness and spirituality into one’s life. VOGUE
