Versatile experience

From our team leaders to our engineers, tooling experts and each member of Christopher Tool, we have harbored a culture driven by safety. Every part feature matches the drawings, with a process supported by impeccable traceability and quick access to documentation. We treat each order as if people’s lives depend upon it…because they do.

Christopher Tool has been a strong partner with companies in many industries, including those working with aerospace, hydraulic/pneumatic, diesel, unmanned vehicle and oil rig technologies. We have also been involved with new and emerging industries, such as environmental and surveillance management.

A partner for R&D Engineering challenges are opportunities to excel for Christopher Tool. Our teams consist of experienced problem solvers and talented engineers, who bring fresh perspectives to difficult projects. Our knowledge base and machine capability will guide your prototype through conceptual development, design verification and short-run production, all by your deadline.

Focus on the future Keeping pace with innovative technologies may be our most important asset. As the need for parts that operate at higher temperatures and pressures increases, Christopher Tool continues to invest in equipment and knowledge that make the machining of exotic materials and the maintaining of the tightest tolerances possible. Our primary goal is to purchase state-of-the-art equipment that allows us to achieve consistent and reliable results in machining complex geometries, such as

• Irregular shapes with stringent profile tolerances

• Straightness and roundness requirements in the 30/50 millionths range

• Flatness held to 1–2 helium light bands

• Fine finishes under 4 micro finish

• True position tolerances held to between .0002 and .0004

• Diametrical clearances down to 1 micron (.000040)

A history and future with precision Christopher Tool has been in business since 1951 and is in its third generation of management by the Christopher family. However, it is our unflinching advancement toward innovative technologies and rising quality standards that has kept our customers confident in our capabilities. When you work with Christopher Tool, you get our service, which includes complete access to our expertise and immediate answers to your questions. Our success is dependent on yours, and our open communication with you helps us achieve this. We have established a culture at Christopher Tool: every decision is driven by quality. Every step is verified, every approach considered.

New equipment Our Zeiss Prismo Navigator HTG and S-ACC CMM scans parts at high speeds and helps us achieve incredibly accurate measurements. The Stahli Flat Lapping Machine gives Christopher Tool the edge with superior precision for flatness.

For an engineer, every part is a vision fulfilled. Our goal is to maintain the integrity of that vision part after part.
