All bulls will need to be picked up on or before June 1, 2021. Shipping arrangements can be made with Clarahan Farms. We will continue to provide the best care that we are able but accidents do happen and we recommend all bulls be insured. Insurance will be available sale day at the clerk’s desk. Ultrasound Data All bulls in the sale will have ultrasounded before sale day and those results will be available on a supplement sheet. Herd Health All cattle will be accompanied with all proper health certificates for immediate shipment. All bulls are guaranteed to be satisfactory breeders examined by a certified veterinarian. Greetings Fellow Cattlemen, Here at Clarahan Farms we have been farming and raising cattle in Southeast Iowa for almost a century. We have always had cows on pasture and cattle on feed in the lots. We started using Chianina genetics in the early 1980’s and have reaped the benefits ever since. Many fads have come and gone in the last 40 years but efficient fast-growing cattle that grade and yield have kept us profitable year after year. Since the mid 1990’s we have worked hard to established a breeding program that works for every cattlemen across the US. Through the use of ultrasound and Igenity testing we have identified several high indexing bulls and females. We have been producing offspring from these high indexing cattle with the use of a very successful embryo transfer and AI program. Our focus has always been on raising cattle with superior meat quality while putting emphasis on being sound, functional and even tempered. Our number one goal has been to stay profitable in the cattle business and with these kind of bulls we have been able to do so.
