On Saturday, there’s lots of fun down at the MALENY SHOWGROUNDS where the Alpaca Raw Fleece Expo is held as well as the Maleny Arts and Crafts Workshop where there will be displays of Arts and Crafts for sale.

On Saturday the members will be demonstrating various crafts from spinning, weaving, knitting and machine knitting, crochet and more. There will be a range of handmade items for sale.

Raw Fleece Expo - Alpaca Show, Fleece and Halter

This year an International Alpaca judge will be giving a running commentary as they judge each fleece on Friday, July 1st. The fleeces will be display until Saturday afternoon. There will be an alpaca enthusiast with the fleeces who can answer questions on husbandry, breeding, fleece judging and fleece preparation. The halter show on Sat has over 60 alpacas of both breeds and all colours in the show ring. Exhibitors are from northern NSW to central Qld. The Exhibitors are a friendly bunch so come and meet them, chat about alpacas, fleece and have a look at the fleece for sale at the display.
