The Haven

Founded in 1954, The Haven offers programs and services for children, teens, and adults with disabilities to enhance their quality of life by encouraging independence, championing inclusion and advocating for their individual rights. Alison and Becky firmly believe in a world where people with disabilities are included and celebrated for who they truly are — talented and incredible human beings.

As the Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Adult Services, Alison and Becky work closely together to develop and oversee progressive and innovative programs to enhance the quality of life for their clients and families. Alison believes that through high quality programming everyone can meet their maximum potential. Becky and her teams commitment to the Haven continues to be one of the reasons for the nonprofits tremendous growth over the past few years. On any given day, the dynamic duo can be seen on campus engaging clients, promoting awareness, and fostering community partnerships.

Easterseals Southwest Florida

Brittany Bryant is the Director of Early Childhood Intervention at Easterseals Southwest Florida. Easterseals has served our community for 75 years and offers the highest quality of programming to children, youth, and adults with disabilities. The Lily School for Child Development is a nationally accredited, inclusive preschool serving children six weeks to five years of age.

Brittany was born and raised in Ohio, and attended the University of Toledo where she obtained a B.A in Early Childhood & M.Ed. concentrating in Special Education. She has been in educational leadership for twelve years with experience in non-profit, corporate, private, and home-based care. Brittany is passionate about educating the youth, as they are the leaders of tomorrow, and is dedicated to impacting future generations while empowering others to do the same. Brittany is proud to take part in changing the world by providing opportunities in our local community.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota and DeSoto Counties have played an integral role in the Sarasota County community for more than 50 years, providing daily programs and services to thousands of young people. The mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota and DeSoto Counties is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. The vision is to provide a world-class Club experience that assures success is within reach of every young person who walks through our doors, with all members on track to graduate from high school with a plan for the future, demonstrating good character and citizenship, and living a healthy lifestyle.

SHAVONNE SIMON

Truly Valued, Inc.

Shavonne-inspired by her life experiences, education, faith, and compassion for her community-founded Truly Valued in 2014, a non-profit whose mission is to promote positive self-esteem, education, confidence and character among at-risk youth. Incorporating the family unit, services include character development, mentoring and community service. Shavonne is a dedicated mother of two with three bonus children. She holds a Master’s in Management from the University of Phoenix, received her Certification in Nonprofit Management and Leadership and is currently pursuing her Diploma in Divinity from Christian Leaders College. She is an active member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. and School Advisory Council (SAC) at Booker Middle School. Shavonne is also a published author of three children’s books. In her spare time, Shavonne enjoys reading, travelling and spending quality time with her kids, family and friends. Her personal mission is to help people to love themselves so that they can love others.
