Born in rural eastern Kentucky, Dr. Back learned early the value of hard work. Faced with poverty and few resources she found her path to success through her passion for growth and development. Dr. Back was determined to design her path and to make a way forward that created beauty and comfort for those lives she touched. As a small child she experienced first-hand how frightening dental care could be, fainting during early procedures and crying without comfort were sad memories for her. As a teenager Dr. Back met an orthodontist that changed her experience with dentists and as a result changed her life. Dr. Back found that after braces she was no longer the ugly duckling but her new smile helped her become the swan. She then knew that she wanted to do the same for others. Dr. Back has pursued cosmetic dentistry from her graduation from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry in 1995. Today Dr. Back owns a well-respected Cosmetic and General dental practice in Sarasota, Florida and always remembers the lessons that her background taught her, be kind, be compassionate and change lives for the better when you can.
