Blackbox The task was to create a product design. brand, packaging and an advertisement film. For this project, i chose to cater towards a male audience. “Black Box” is white chocolate in a solid black box with sharp corners/edges. For the advertisement i directed, filmed and animated a short clip in a mall.
Two girls were trying to lift the black box off the shelf. Unable to do so (because it is a men’s product) they gave up , just to see a young man walking by and lifting the box easily off the shelf. You can watch the clip on my website : andywiens.de under “graphic design & animation”.

Timescale The task was to create a magazine. Our groupe chose to do “timescale” a magazine focusing on one specific topic per issue. This months issue was “private” and focused mostly on the internet and social media, as well as cloud servers. Every issue features an artist or artist groupe,
who create images to fit the topic. I was responsible for the layout and post production / compositing of the photographs (made by Corina Schmitz). In the magazin layout you will find a black line which go through every page. This black bar represents a timeline.

Adidas The task was to chose a brand and design a poster and a claim to go along with a campaign. I chose the “adidas” brand and created a poster using mud/dirt and grass on a white canvas. This should
underline the brands most common use : Sports. The claim is a play on words: “always on the field” and “all ways on the field”.

Cusp Bikes For this project, we had to create a bike production brand and its CD. I chose the name “cusp bikes”, which should represent a high quality product for extreme athletes and professionals. The whole design is simple and focuses on providing information for the demographic. Since they are looking for enhancement and
high quality, it was important for me to give as much information on the listed product as possible. The brochure features the latest bikes and single components. To give the brochure the “extreme” look i composed two pictures with abstract elements.

Bawesome For this project we had to design a font. To present the font i made a poster, a brochure as well as postcards. Unlike others i focused on a rather unreadable font. My main goal was to create letters which could be used as “faces/smilies”.
They should also be useable in at least two different ways. The letters can still be read, but are best used in short words. E.g. : “Party” - P (green) A (blue) R (red) T (orange)Y (pink).

KDA Poster Our task was to create three individual Poster for our school KDA. All three posters were done in Maya, a 3d application.
They focus on the following three topics : “scholarship, small classes, the way through the 6 semesters�.

Alien Bust I like 3d modeling, especially sculpting in zbrush. This is my latest concept sculpt.

Die Made I painted these two pictures for our “illustration” class based on a short poem called “ Die Made”. I had the
liberty to design concept art for a video game based on the story of the poem.

stylized Pillar This was a study for hand painted stylized look, which is used in a lot of video games today. The pillar was sculpted in Zbrush, then i exported the normal,ambient occlusion and other maps into Pho-
toshop and used them to hand paint the colours and details. The wood texture itself is tileable in both directions, but works best horizontal.

Concept Art These are just three of my latest concept paintings. The two character are located in a “fantasy, sci-fi ,steam punk� world.
The other one is a mood painting of a female standing on the edge of the world.
