MOTOR AND BATTERY SPECIFICATIONS The number of Amp hours (Ah) is multiplied by the battery voltage (V) to give the number of watt-hours (Wh) of energy which the battery can deliver. DAY LIGHT FUNCTION Extra LEDs are fitted which ensure that you’re highly visible in traffic all day long. Then at dusk a high power LED headlight takes over. If the battery is empty, the motor works as a dynamo so that you will never be without lights as you ride. AUTOMATIC RECHARGE TECHNOLOGY The battery pack will be recharged whenever no pressure is being exerted on the pedals, for example while braking or going downhill when you’re riding along, but not pedalling. Our starting point when developing new models is always to produce the very best product for the passionate (and demanding) cyclist. We dedicate a lot of attention to the finish, and carefully select a harmonious set of components. If that isn’t possible with existing components, we develop our own. This gives our bikes their distinctive appearance and stylish look. Less is more!

THE WILL TO WIN

Developing top quality racing bicycles is embedded in KOGA’s DNA. Passion for cycling was the foundation in establishing the company in 1974, and is the unmistakable basis of its modern and advanced race collection to this day. Developed and built in the Netherlands, by and for cycling enthusiasts with attention to detail.

1. Only premium components were used in the assembly of the new lightweight Kimera Pro frame. The frame is made from 40T high modulus carbon fiber with UD carbon finish 2. The 40th anniversary Kimera Road Pro is produced as limited edition. To ensure its exclusivity, each bike has a numbered badge. 3. Lightweight Fi’zi:k Antares 00 saddle with carbon rails and KOGA UD carbon seat post. 4. For better braking force and optimal aerodynamics, the rear-wheel brake is mounted under the frame. Press Fit bottom bracket: The bearings for the bottom bracket are pressed into the frame. In addition to reducing the weight this also allows for higher stiffness, as the down tube can be connected to the bracket with a larger diameter.

KOGA CARBON TECHNOLOGY

KOGA obviously doesn’t base the design of a new carbon frame solely on beautiful lines and shapes, but also on the correct balance between weight and rigidity. The shapes and sizes of the separate “tubes” determine the particular features of the frame. In order to optimise this shape KOGA uses advanced computer calculations: FEM (Finite Element Method). Within a single frame design various different features are possible by using composites with different kinds of carbon. Carbon is available in different grades, with each having a particular tensile strength. Carbon fibres with a high tensile strength (High Modulus Carbon) enable us to use less material, producing a frame that is extremely lightweight. The combination of the type of carbon, the number of layers, the angle of the carbon and the resin used, determine the particular features of a frame. In developing a new frame we analyse the target group and determine which qualities are important for that particular frame. We consider stiffness, weight, strength, comfort, design and price. For both stiffness and strength there are certain values each frame has to comply with. In addition, a frame can be provided with an optic layer (mesh) which can also contribute to its strength. 14

KOGA uses carbon technology consisting of 3 variants: Pro, Premium and Prestige. PRO FRAMES are composed with the highest percentage of 40T High Modulus Carbon with a high tensile strength, resulting in a very lightweight and rigid frame. PREMIUM FRAMES are good all-round frames that perform well on all levels, sometimes finished with a 3k carbon fibre mesh. PRESTIGE FRAMES enable KOGA to supply an exceptional price/ quality ratio.

KIMERA ROAD PRO 40TH ANNIVERSARY LIMITED EDITION

The successful KOGA F3 series has been updated and enhanced. Various trim levels are available in various colour combinations. KOGA F3 stands for Form, Fun and Function, delivering an optimal combination of functionality, integration and design. A defining feature of the F3 is the shape of the frame tubes where round and sharp lines are used alternately, accented with an elegant design. Its visionary creators have succeeded in producing a clean bicycle concept with functionality, integration and design in perfect harmony. A good example of this is the cable for the rear light, which is routed completely through the frame and the luggage carrying rack. Also the mudguard and luggage rack are striking examples of the comprehensive integration: the points of attachment being barely visible.

F3 5.0

Premium version of the KOGA F3 series with high quality Shimano SLX groupset and hydraulic rim brakes. Optionally fitted with KOGA Feathershock or rigid fork suspension. Customers receive a two-year guarantee as standard from us on specific parts of KOGA e-bikes (wear items are excluded) and in addition a lifelong warranty on the frame, as well as a 10 year guarantee on the paintwork. With a KOGA e-bike you can be assured that KOGA will be able to deliver spare parts for the bike for many years. The battery pack too has a two year guarantee as standard, irrespective of the number of charge cycles. KOGA advises that whenever possible, the bike be connected to the charger: the system is protected against overcharging.

TIPS TO INCREASE RANGE:

• Make sure your battery is always charged at departure. Your battery is protected from overcharging, so connect your battery to the charger as often as possible. • Choose the lowest level of pedal assistance. • Inflate the tyres to the correct air pressure regularly (as shown on the side of the tyre). • Use the lowest gear. Shift down when cycling against the wind or when you are going up a bridge, exactly as you would on a bike without pedal assist.
