1. Disc brakes provide more controllable stopping power than rim brakes and are also less sensitive to dirt and moisture. Further they provide more rear space, which makes it possible to mount wider tires. 2. The integration of the brake and derailleur cables contributes to the elegant look of the Durado. In addition, the cable is now better protected and is easier to keep clean. 3. The gear cable to the rear derailleur is completely routed through the frame and the rear fork. 4. The frame and carbon front fork were developed for the Shimano disc brake standard - the so-called flat-mount. With adapters no longer needed a clean look, with improved aerodynamics and lighter weight has been made possible.
