PUBLISHER’S NOTE
FOUNDER & CEO
If you are a KOKET admirer than you know my signature colors are black and gold. My love for these bold, edgy colors goes far beyond my brand, walk into my closet and it is mostly a sea of black. When it comes to living in color it has never really been my forte. I occasionally purchase colorful designs, mostly in accessories, and I do love a beautiful jewel tone and definitely have a passion for fuschia. But truly embracing color in my life has always felt a bit against my natural grain. That is until recently. For this fourth edition of Love Happens, we chose to dive into the world of green luxury. We explore sustainable living, also not my forte, but something I am learning to embrace as I am often inspired by nature and of course want to preserve its beauty. We also explore nature-inspired design, a theme often found in KOKET despite my minimal connection to living outdoors (excluding by the pool or on the beach)! I have always been intrigued by nature’s exotic side, drawn to exquisite orchids, brilliant agate stones and captivating animals like snakes and crocodiles. While nature is filled with color, green is by far the most prominent. We think green and we think nature. To be honest I have always really disliked the color green, especially moss green and green vegetables. The only green I owned was a couple of jade pieces and they had to be the perfect shade of

green. Living green, not just eco-living, but even eating vegetables has always been a forced thing for me—and you know how we all love to rebel against forced things. Perhaps I also rebelled against green because it felt unluxurious to me. Recently, however, I have grown to really appreciate the beauty and allure of green. I even found myself loving avocados and avocado green! I hope you enjoy this edition of Love Happens as much as my team and I do and may it inspire you to live in green luxury!
With love always, Janet Morais, FOUNDER & CEO @JANETLAKOKET
