Yoshikawa Orimono Denim 13oz washed denim woven on a power loom. It is a beautiful navy blue and its light weight means it is particularly suited to slim fitting jeans. Factory washing produces a very pleasing lengthwise fading.

GRAPHITE is the base model in KURO's denim developments, and can be said to represent the standard for all products. Of the three models developed i n t he f i r st st a ge, it s l i ne i s t he slimmest, with both a hip and a depth above clothes that is set at the ideal level to emphasize the length of the wearer's legs. The materials used in KURO's denim maintain the highest levels of quality. In particular, the fabrics produced by Nihon Menpu and Yoshikawa Orimono, used in this model's selvedge (double-edged), can be described as high-quality materials, even when viewed by world standards.
It's the simplified back pocket and stitching that give CROW their clear cut style. Sharing the same great shape as GRAPHITE, they offer a comfortable fit to the wearer. Made with fabric from Yoshikawa Orimono, CROW's style comes from the fine needle work and stitch spacing only possible with Oikawa Denim.

展 開する上でベースとなるモデルであり、全てのプロダ クトの基 準 値になっていると言えます。そのシルエット は K U RO が展 開するデニムモデルの中で 最もスリムで あり、ヒップ周りと股 上の深さは足を長く見せるよう黄 金 比に設 定されています。また、K U RO のデニムに使 用されているマテリアルは高水 準で維 持されており、特 にこのモデルに使 用されている日本 綿 布 社 製と吉川 織 物 社 製のセルビッチは、世 界水 準 で見てもハイクオリ ティーなマテリアルと言えるでしょう。
力 織 機 で 織られ糸の打ち込 みが 多いのが 特 徴 。14oz の整理 加工がされていない生地 ( キバタ ) で、ヴィンテー ジ 特 有の 捩 れや 毛 羽 感、 風 合 いが 表 現されています。 ムラ糸を使 用しているため、シボ感 や 縦 方 向の 色 落ち が非常に際立ち、加工栄えする生地と言えるでしょう。

K U RO i nt roduces a new shape t h is sea son, DEMPSEY, with their tapered line and a waist slightly higher than our other three designs. One might say they are like FIXER around the thigh area, and GRAPHITE below the knee.
T h rough its use of K i bata's fa br ics, FI X ER recreates the genuine charm that denim naturally has. As they are worn, these jeans take on a socalled 'vintage' look of the 1950s. The FIXER which uses a selvedge, blends well with any kind of style, and is a versatile model made to a slightly thin line.
Re c r e at i n g t he ge nu i ne c h a r m t h at d e n i m naturally has, through its use of Kibata's fabrics, A NARCHISM is notable for its regular depth above clothes and, featuring the most standard line of the three models that KURO has developed in its first season, it is a model made with a selvedge that is suitable for highly active wear. The pockets were stitched with a combination of both fine count (fine thread) and low count (wide thread) threads, known as a no. zero thread (the widest of threads among those used for denim), and were made with great attention given to design as well.

Without losing any of GRAPHITE's conventional style, we've transformed them into a slim straight version for ladies. The ratio between the hip and the waist has been set with a golden proportion to give length to the legs. These jeans are made with selvage denim from Yoshikawa Orimono.
SKINNY are skinny-fit jeans with a low waist, made with light ounce selvage denim from Nihon Menpu. The stretchable fabric means these jeans are great for an active lifestyle.

Manufacturing ● KURO is manufactured by OIKAWA-DENIM famous for its world standard technique. ● We use a t wo-fold yar n made from single white and golden-brow n yar ns which gives our products great strengt h. Because we use cotton yar n, t he color fades f rom t he fabr ic after factor y distressing and dur ing use, which produces t he feel and look of used clot hing. ● T he hand-made st yle stitches on t he front, back and coin pockets are t he most notable features, and plain seam stitching is also done in t he same color. A s t his technolog y is only available in a limited number of factor ies, t he manufactur ing process is t w ice as long as is standard. ● T hin yar ns were used for par ts where hand-stitching was per for med, and because needlework was also ver y f ine, pucker ing (fabr ic t w ists caused due to seam shr inkage by sew ing, and pulling) may well appear when washed. ● Belt loops were also sew n in a unique way, w it h stitching inter vals t hat created bumps to give of f a v intage look. As key points such as yar n t hick ness and stitch w idt h are modif ied, t he stitching has a solid, t hree-dimensional look. ●糸は単糸 ( 金茶 ) と単糸 ( 白 ) を合わせた双糸を使用しているため強度があります。また、綿糸を使 用しているため、加工後や履き込んでいくうちに糸の色も抜け、古着のような色や風合いが出ます。 ●フロントやバック、コインポケット部分に施されたハンドメイド風のステッチが最大の特 徴で、さらに 同色の糸で地 縫いをしています。これは限られた工場にしかない技術な上、通常に比べ 2 倍の工程を 踏むという手間もかかっています。 ●ハンドステッチ部分の糸は細めのものを使用しており、運針も細かいため洗いをかけた際にパッカリ ング ( 縫い縮みやひきつれによる生地のゆがみ ) が出やすくなっています。 ●ベルトループにも、ステッチ間に山が できるようなヴィンテージらしい独特の縫 製がされています。 その他にも、糸の太さやステッチ幅などを要所で変えているため、ステッチが立体的に見えるようになっ ています。
