DIMENSIONAL COMPRESSION-SPIN AND RISE DEVELOPMENT OF SOLDERED AND PLASTER FORM IN RELATION TO BODY MOVEMENT HUMAN MOTION IS A CHANGE IN POSITION OF A PERSON OVER TIME. ACCORDING TO FRANK GILBRETH, IT IS IMPORTANT FOR US TO THINK ABOUT HOW THESE MOVEMENT FORM DIFFERENT PRODUCTION LINES AND HOW BODY IS MOVED IN AN ASSEMBLY LINE DUE TO CHANGE OF ACCELERATION, SPEED, TIME, DISPLACEMENT, DISTANCE, AND VELOCITY. UNDERSTANDING OF HUMAN-LIKE MOVEMENT IS UNDERSTANDING PLACE IN SPACE THAT ARE MAPPED AS THE PERSON IS MOVING AROUND, UNDERSTANDING WHERE THE JOINT IS, WHERE THE FOOT IS, AND THERE IS THIS MOVEMENT OF CURVE THAT IS MAPPED IN THE SPACE. A GREAT UNDERSTANDING OF HUMAN MOTION MAY CONDUCE TO THE ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN PROCESS. IT WILL RESHAPE DESIGNERS' VIEW ON A BUILT SPACE BY PROVIDING A NEW COMPREHENSION OF THE HUMAN BODY AND SPATIAL EXPERIENCE.

PROLOGUE By studying a video clip of individual movement, we can analyze a particular second to assemble a specific combination of elements, and that succession of superimposed images of action are overlayed. When going into formal, such as a 3D object,

it can display speed, technology, and abstract form. We can see new elements such as jumping points, exploring boundaries, geometric shapes, liner fac tors, and dynamism.

CLIP ANALYSIS This clip was filmed in a park. It features me spinning with my arms forming a fixed triangle and standing up slowly. A series of movement is produced when I was turning and moving horizontally. By analyzing the movement, emphasize

is placed on the process of my arms spinning and my body rising. The changing motions of different body parts were tracked to study the sequences of the movement.

ARMS AND BODY MOVEMENT By focusing on the changes in body movements, diagrams, different forms, and patterns are generated. The following diagrams are produced to study the relationship between the character's left hand, righthand elbow, and shoulders during the action. Different connected are experimented to explore possible patterns and forms.

In particular, three-point (shoulder, elbow, and hand) form a closed triangle that indicates future movement. They show an inclination of spinning in 360 degrees and rising from about 0.5 meters to 1.6 meters. In the last study diagram, the lines are extracted from the human body and are slightly twisted and abstracted to form. a complicated triangular form.

MODELS Through continual observation of me spinning in the space and moving horizontally, simple geometric shape is captured within the selected time eight and sixteen seconds when i was just at the point of turning around. The main idea of the design is to show contrast between stability and flexibility with the natural properties of plaster and braze

in mind. The streamlined plaster figure winding upwards represents the focus on legs twisting and body moving upwards. The solder model captures the moving pattern of arms, the shoulder and two hand twisting alongside the plaster model yet it is connected by series of curves to show another contrast.

PROLOGUE The project is developed on the quadrangle, a magnificent gothic-revival architecture that the took more than a century to be built. The area that we focus is the south main gate, now called the nicholson vestibule which is completed by the second appointed architect of the quadrangle-walter liberty vernon in

1918. The nicholson gateway is elaborately carved with minute detail, from the ribbed vault to the stained glass to the gargoyles and sculptures. It is considered short path but with lots of attractive details that worth people’s attention.

MAPPING OF DISTRIBUTION OF ORNAMENTATION Humans have a slightly over 210-degree forwardfacing horizontal arc of their visual field, while some birds have a complete or nearly complete 360-degree visual field. The vertical range of the visual field in humans is around 150 degrees. As a result, the highest human can see is limited (for a person that is 1.65m tall, she can only see between 1m and 2.2m vertically). The area that we focus is the nicholson gate of the quadrangle. When i visited the place, i was

astonished by its elaborate details, you can feel the gothic-revival atmosphere, from the ribbed vault to the stained glass to the gargoyles and sculptures. so i carried out this mapping of all the decoration according to the distribution and height. I found most of the details are above the nomal vision range - which is above 2.2m. That means you have to raise your head for a long time to observe the place fully.

CONSISTS OF SEVERAL SIGNIFICANT REMAINS WHICH PROVIDE HINTS TO THE PROCESS OF RECALLING. BY PROVIDING IMAGINATION OF THE PAST ATMOSPHERE AND ACTIVITIES,A SITE WITH A LONG HISTORY REALLY GIVES AN UNIQUE SPATIAL EXPERIENCE TO ITS VISITORS.

PROLOGUE-COCKATOO ISLAND The project is about paying attention to the place and, with the aid of apparatus, observe the industrial precinct to compare the different truss system in the ceiling. Located at a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Cockatoo Island has an illustrious history dating back to the time of first settlement. The industrial precinct was chosen to be a significant area of mapping and analysis. It is a large area with rich shipmaking history and characteristics of colonial-time. While crossing the path, a person continues exploring and reading the story of the island with fragments of history. By linking the historical pieces to the past, the process of understanding history gives unique spatial experience to the visitors.

DESIGN CONCEPTS As a crucial component of industrial structure, the ceiling contains rich information that distinguish different warehouses in the industrial precinct. The difference of the truss system in the ceiling emphasis the different function of various shops, such as the turbine shop, the machine shop, and engine shop. The apparatus aims to provide viewers with a special perspective of view to observe the warehouse. Most importantly it tris to create a imaginative busy and lively scene of the previous glory maritime precinct in australia.
