Native PDF Workflow from start to finish! The Adobe PDF Print Engine enables integrated, end-to-end PDF workflows for printing graphically rich content, including variable content for personalized publishing. The Caldera print solutions powered by Adobe PDF Print Engine allow PDF files to be rendered natively, without conversion to PostScript, helping to ensure that complex designs and effects, even variable print elements with transparency, are efficiently and reliably reproduced.
Get ready to Variable Data Printing! Variable Data Printing (VDP) is a form of digital printing in which elements called variable data may be changed from one printed piece to the next, without stopping or slowing down the printing process. Variable data are elements such as text, graphics, images, etc. For example, personalized business cards, each with the same basic layout, the same visual identity, can be printed with a different name and address on each set of cards. The Adobe PDF format allows users to create documents with Xobjects. Xobjects are elements which are repeated several times in the document but saved only once in order to save storage place. Several tools, like the Adobe® InDesign process or other specialized software applications are already available in the market to efficiently create these documents. In this case, variable data printing files are created during the Pre-press process: variable data and templates are merged into PDF format in which templates are saved as Xobjects. The PDF document is then imported into the Caldera RIP.

EasyMEDIA allows you to create ICC profiles for printers, guaranteeing accurate and consistent colour reproduction across all your processes. Incorporating i1Prism V2, the new X-Rite profile building engine, EasyMEDIA benefits from the latest state-of-the-art algorithms for enhanced colour separation and colour management within your Caldera workflow. It includes a library of several thousand ICC profiles for all major manufacturers as standard; but creating new profiles to match your individual needs is easy. For precise colour management, embedded profiles are detected, extracted and applied automatically, and parameters are determined according to the image, be it vector, greyscale, RGB or CMYK.
Spot colours are supported through the CXF library and named colours are identified with full simulation of printed colours based on the output profiles. With its highest-ever accuracy and a colour range beyond the reach of previous profilers, EasyMEDIA is an essential tool to help you meet the increasing demand for perfect colour reproduction.

NestOBA automatically positions your images on the media in the most efficient way, minimising the cutting time and maximising profit margins in one simple step. NestOBA option is required to run KIPCut for C7800 in-line cut & trim system.
