Es kann dann dank integrierter InlinerRollen gezogen werden. Der Rohraußendurchmesser beträgt 16 mm (Gewicht: 850 g). The Expedition carrier is securely mounted to the frame and rear swingarm, and thanks to its articulated design folds up automatically when the Birdy is folded. The integrated inline skate rollers ensure the folded Birdy can be rolled along. The tubing diameter is 16 mm. (weight: 850 g).

The front disc brakes are mounted on the right hand side, so as not to increase the folded size. The brakes fitted are Shimano’s hydraulic BR-575 (Birdy alfine/speed/rohloff disc), the mechanical Avid BB5 Mountain (Birdy touring disc) or the mechanical Avid BB7 Road (Birdy race disc), and both brakes and hubs are specially adapted for the Birdy (weight increase vs. V-brakes: 300 g). Disc brakes are very clean as there won't be any brake dust on the rim.

Choose hight adjustable Comfort or Sport stem. Please note that with Kojak tyres the mudguards have excess clearance. To be able to use side-hanging panniers on the Expedition carrier, mudguards and supporting arch must be fitted and inline skate rollers must be removed. Fitting is only possible in conjunction with a rear carrier. The optional lighting systems include reflectors and a bell, but are not compliant with German road vehicle licensing regulations. Only available with a special frame in either black or polished aluminium. The case is compatible with all models and specifications. On Birdy race disc the handlebar must be removed from the stem before the Birdy is packed.
