EDITORIAL AN ATTACK ON DEMOCRACY

When we plan the future or just try to understand the present, we do it based on the experience we have gathered in the past. This simple realization is especially visible in decision-making processes that take a long time, for example political processes. In the Netherlands, the European Parliament has recently decided to ban mink farming, a ban that has been underway for two decades. The argument for banning fur farming has also changed. In the beginning, the Dutch politicians mostly talked about animal welfare. In 1995, the political debate ended with a ban on fox farming and a number of new rules for housing and increased public control being imposed on mink farming. You would think now that the industry would be allowed some peace to work, but despite the fact that one scientific study after the other proved that, from an animal welfare point of view, fur production is fully acceptable, the political opposition to the industry continued unabated. It was evident that the politicians did not dare go against myths and the popular perception that mink production is incompatible with good welfare. Suddenly, the political opposition justifies a ban on mink farming on ethical grounds. In the bill banning mink production, many words were used to explain that animal welfare in mink production is better than in other livestock production, but there was a wish to ban mink farming because there is no need for the product. The politicians are apparently not aware that fur has never previously been in such demand as it is now that, consequently, large parts

A PRIL 2013

Democracy is a dangerous form of government if political decisions are based on beliefs and prejudices rather than knowledge and insight. of the fashion industry are now in the process of reformulating their policy for fur. Fashion industry ethics are closely related to sales and revenue, and it is expensive not to be on the winning team. Scientific explanations now confirm what Alan Herscovici, Executive Vice President of Fur Council of Canada, said 5-6 years ago, namely that fur is green. The fashion industry is the most polluting and resource-consuming industry we have. Fur makes the industry a little greener. According to the Dutch politicians, even the slightest inconvenience to animals is unacceptable if a product is not necessary. We look forward to seeing if the Dutch politicians will evaluate all types of livestock based on the same principle. Riding must surely be regarded as useless, as riders can ride a bike instead. Similarly with dogs and cats – well, all kinds of pets are probably useless in the same way as fur. The genuine article is not vital, as there are artificial substitutes. You might also ask if there is real demand for beef, as beef is extremely resource-intensive and cows’ burping and

farting are damaging to the ozone layer. I am sure that the Dutch politicians’ ethical review of animal husbandry only extends to the exact point where ethics threaten to cost votes, i.e. where a ban affects the general population. Democracy is a dangerous form of government if political decisions are based on beliefs and prejudices rather than knowledge and insight. The Dutch ban is an attack on the fundamental principles of the constitutional state and a miserable attack not only on the fur industry but also on democracy.

RUSSIA HAS A DEMAND FOR QUALITY SKINS BY CHRISTIAN SERRITSLEV RIIS

The streets of Moscow are full of fur. Compared to Copenhagen, it is quite a different experience walking in the streets of the Russian capital. It is almost like a giant fur exhibition. Fur is an essential part of nearly every outfit. It always has been, and it always will. Kopenhagen Fur News went to Russia to take a closer look at the state of the fur market, where more than eight million skins are consumed each year. DESIGNER BRAND OR AUCTION HOUSE LABEL Ekaterina Furs in Moscow has more than 20 years of experience in selling exclusive furs. With six stores in Moscow selling furs in different price ranges, the company knows what the Russian customers want. - The designer brand is of great importance to Russians and there are buyers for whom the label is the most

6

important thing. However, circumstances are changing and the quality is becoming increasingly important as fur prices rise year by year, says Alexey Korneskov, Commercial Director of Ekaterina Furs. For a long time, Italian designers have ruled the market for finished fur products in Russia. With the greater focus on brands and designers, customers have forgotten the auction house labels. Luckily, there is a growing knowledge and understanding of the auction house labels. - Fortunately, our buyers already understand various auction house labels and know that they represent high quality of fur. What is more important, they can get these products in our shops, which guarantee not only original labels but also high-quality goods, Alexey Korneskov points out. Ekaterina Furs is proud of having such

a loyal and varied clientele which gives the company a stable position in the retail market. The sales have not increased much, but there has been a slight rise in the most exclusive end of the price range. This is an indication of an improving market. GROWTH EQUALS CUSTOMERS - Four out of five Russian women wear fur, so it is difficult to increase the volume of sales. However, there is certainly an opportunity to increase the sale of high-quality fur in Russia. These days, a larger part of the population can afford more exclusive furs, says Paolo Drostby, Agricultural Consultant at the Danish Embassy in Moscow. Henning Otte Hansen, Lecturer in international business management at Copenhagen Business School, agrees with him.

KOPENHAGEN FUR NE W S

- The economic growth in Russia is very high by any standards, and the optimism accompanying this kind of growth leads to better outlets for fur products etcetera. The European markets are more or less saturated and purchasing power is decreasing, but this is not the case in Russia, says Henning Otte Hansen. From 2000 to 2011, the average GDP growth in Russia was 5.2%. By comparison, the European countries averaged 1.2%. As a result, the average wage has increased by 240% since 2000 and, with a flat tax rate at 13% and a low level of private debt, the average Russian has more money to spend. With temperatures well below zero in almost every part of Russia, both the weather and the financial climate are good for fur.

NEWS IN BRIEF

TOP LOT BOUGHT IN REMEMBRANCE OF VISIT Mr Min Jiatao bought the Sapphire Cross Females Top Lot at a price of 1,010 DKK per skin. The purchase had a very special purpose for the manufacturer. - I saw these skins and found them rare, beautiful and perfect. From these skins of high quality I will make a garment for my wife, Mr Min Jiatao says. His manufacturing company, Huifeng Fur Fashion Co., Ltd., produces two fur brands. The brand Ouluokadi is sold to the domestic market in China, while the brand MJT is sold in Russia. He has shops in the Russian Market in Beijing, in the Hebei and Liaoning provinces as well as in Russia. FIRST AUCTION The company is situated in the city of Daying in Hebei Province. Mr Jin Jiatao has been in the fur business for 18 years. Since 2002, his business has grown significantly just like the fur industry all over China. The February auction was Mr Min Jiatao’s first visit to Kopenhagen Fur. The busy businessman normally buys through a commission agent to get the best mink skins possible. However, Chinese traditions gave him the chance to attend the February auction. - My factory is closed for the Chinese New Year, so I finally had the time and opportunity to attend an auction in person. I bought the Top Lot in remembrance of the visit to the auction and as a unique present for my wife, Mr Min Jiatao says.

A CELEBRATION OF LIFE To celebrate his new-born son, Mr Wang Le decided to buy the White Velvet males Top Lot to give his wife a special present. The Top Lot was knocked down at a price of 3,150 DKK per skin. - I will use the Top Lot to create a fur jacket as a keepsake of our son’s birth, Mr Wang Le says. His company, Hebei Xing Ye Fur Co., Ltd., is situated in the town of Daying in the Hebei Province. The company deals with dressing, dyeing and manufacturing. Besides providing for the domestic Chinese market, the company exports to Russia and Italy. DETERMINED TO BUY The present will not come as a surprise to Mr Wang Le’s wife. Beforehand, he sent home a picture of the Top Lot to ask if she liked the skins. When his wife confirmed, Mr Wang Le was set to bid. Once before, Mr Wang Le has competed in the bidding for a Top Lot but failed. As the price of 3,150 DKK indicates, Mr Wang Le had to go through quite a bidding war to obtain the White Velvet Males. - I liked the excitement of the competition. But to me it was never a question about the price. My wife said that she wanted the Top Lot so I bought it, it is as simple as that, Mr Wang Le says. As yet another celebration of their son’s birth, the Top Lot certificate will be displayed in the office of Mr Wang Le and his wife. Skins left from the creation of the fur jacket for Mr Wang Le’s wife will be used for a style to be displayed at the 2014 Beijing Fur Fair. The buyer of a Top Lot in mink is given the opportunity to present up to three styles at Kopenhagen Fur’s gala show, and Mr Wang Le will avail himself of that opportunity.

Tatyana Zaeva, who own the fur brand VolZa. The company has many years of experience in fur business. However, the Top Lot purchase marks a new focus for the company. The ambition is to move the quality to the highest possible level. - We aim to be among the top quality brands by using the best skins, whether it is skins from sable, Swakara, chinchilla and in the future also mink, says Ms. Tatyana Volkova. The company has its own shops with showrooms in London, Milan and Russia.

CHINCHILLA TOP LOT DEMONSTRATES EVEN HIGHER AMBITIONS The chinchilla Top Lot at Kopenhagen Fur’s February auction was sold to the Milan-based Russians Ms Tatyana Volkova and Ms

SKINS FROM KOPENHAGEN FUR, DESIGN FROM ITALY The aim for top quality is also the reason for the two Russian ladies to base their business in Milan’s fashion environment. VolZa wishes to use renowned Italian designers because Italy is the top when it comes to design. To match the best designs in the world, the company has chosen to buy their skins at Kopenhagen Fur’s auctions. Consequently, they bought the chinchilla Top Lot because they know it is the best possible quality. They wish to make an exclusive collection for a very important customer in Russia. - The search for luxury skins is the only reason why we attend Kopenhagen Fur’s auctions. This is our first Top Lot purchase, but it will definitely not be the last, says Ms Tatyana Zaeva.

agreement with Tivoli provided an obvious opportunity to continue the charity work that Kopenhagen Fur and several members of Danish Fur Breeders’ Association had already started. At Kopenhagen Fur’s Inuit Sila booth, specially designed fur hearts were sold during the Christmas in Tivoli event. The sales proceeds from the hearts, DKK 250,000, were donated to the Children’s Cancer foundation. Many Danish celebrities and politicians joined forces to help sell fur hearts in Tivoli. Among them, Lars Løkke Rasmussen, former Prime Minister, and Anne-Mette Fogh Rasmussen, wife of NATO’s General Secretary, braved the cold to lend a helping hand at the Inuit Sila booth. Lars Løkke Rasmussen, former PM

Torben Nielsen, CEO of Kopenhagen Fur, is pleased with the Christmas charity event. Kopenhagen Fur has received a wealth of positive response. In Torben Nielsen’s view, this speaks volumes for the success of cooperating with Tivoli.

Christmas is long gone, but the story of the fur hearts sold by Kopenhagen Fur in Tivoli generates the kind of warmth and joy normally seen only at Christmas.

- We were able to combine some of the great causes we also support such as the Children’s Cancer Foundation and improved rights for the Greenland sealers while also participating in a fantastic seasonal event in Tivoli. The support was astonishing, and I want to give my warmest thanks to the celebrities who helped out at our booth, he says.

NEW KITCHEN AT KOPENHAGEN FUR To make sure that all of Kopenhagen Fur’s guests have the best possible experience, Kopenhagen Fur has renovated the kitchen. Last time the kitchen was renovated was in the mideighties, and with a growing number of guests each year there was a real need for new kitchen facilities.

SUCCESSFUL LUNCHEON AT HONG KONG FUR & FASHION FAIR 2013

The kitchen is now twice the size. With much more space there is not only room for more staff; it is also possible to prepare more food in-house, and now Kopenhagen Fur has a very good and well-functioning bakery, which bakes fresh bread every day. At Kopenhagen Fur we believe that our guests deserve good quality food and good service. Therefore, we can now cater for 3,000 people a day with the new facilities.

During the Hong Kong Fur & Fashion Fair 2013, Kopenhagen Fur successfully hosted two exclusive luncheons on 26 and 27 February at the Dynasty Club, which is one of the finest membership clubs situated close to the exhibition centre in central Hong Kong. In spite of the pressure of business at the fair, more than 500 specially invited customers devoted their time to attend the luncheon enjoying the social gathering. The customers appreciate it very much that Kopenhagen Fur arranges the luncheons. Kopenhagen had also arranged a lucky draw and four guests were happy to win iPhones and iPads. - By hosting the luncheon, Kopenhagen Fur again contributed to the sense of togetherness and exchange of insights and demonstrated its leadership in the fur industry, said Zhang Kaibiao, General Manager of Hong Kong Maxim International Garment Co., Ltd. The luncheons were very successful and attracted many people. - We are very pleased that so many people accepted our invitation to attend a relaxed and cosy get-together during the hectic Hong Kong Fur Fair. Over the years, Kopenhagen Fur has committed itself to provide a platform for the elite of the fur trade and we hope that even more people will join the platform to promote the fur industry, said Kenneth Loberg, Director of Marketing and Business Development of Kopenhagen Fur.

THREE BILLION KRONER CELEBRATION At Kopenhagen Fur’s February auction, sales surpassed the amazing sum of three billion kroner for the first time ever. Employees and fur farmers celebrated the great sales result with lots of golden confetti, champagne and a six metre long cake, decorated with the overwhelming figure 3,000,000,000, and music by Kopenhagen Fur’s very own house band, Grey Velvet, with Torben Nielsen, CEO, on the stage. During the party, Torben Nielsen announced that the three billion milestone was reached and golden confetti rained on the scene while champagne corks popped. There were more records to celebrate; Kopenhagen Fur hosted the highest number of customers, offered the highest number of skins, reached the highest mink prices – and then, of course, the revenue reached record levels.

A MASCULINE EYE-OPENER Kopenhagen Fur’s fashion show at the 2013 Copenhagen Fashion Week was dedicated to men’s fashion. The innovative ideas that were presented will expand the variety of fur for men. BY HANS LØGSTRUP POULSEN

Designers from France, China, Denmark, Russia and England presented their visions of fur fashion for men. The common denominator was an understanding of men’s demand for feeling comfortable in fur garments. According to the designers at Kopenhagen Fur’s fashion show, the key issue is to make sure that fur makes a man appear masculine. - As a designer, one must be conscious about the target group. Fur for men has to be masculine in order to make men feel comfortable wearing it. Especially, if it has to be for everyday use, says Sacha Walckhoff, Creative Director at French Maison Christian Lacroix. All of the designers challenged the conventional approaches to fur for men. According to Fang Fang, Chief Designer of

12

Chinese Notting Hill, the timing of pushing current preferences could not be better. -In China, we see a time for change with a wider use of fur for men’s garments other than the traditional application like lining in jackets. The new designs vary from a very formal to a more casual look. It shows that the versatility of fur also goes for men, she says. SNEAKERS AND SWEAT SUITS To make fur an inherent part of the male wardrobe seems to be the great challenge. According to the designers at Kopenhagen Fur’s fashion show, it is a matter of combining fur with other materials to give it a light and simple look where the fur adds a touch of luxury instead of being the dominant element as is often the case in

women’s fashion. -My objective was to create luxury and yet still be consistent with men’s winter fashion in the streets. That requires playing down the fur – in expression, not in quantity – and to integrate it into the design. A man should be able to combine fur on the upper part of the body with trainers on his feet, French designer Gaspard Yurkievich says. Astrid Andersen, Danish designer, really took on this challenge by integrating fur into sweat suits normally used for sports. -My ambition with this collection was to show how fur fits into any man’s style of clothing. I took my starting point in a type of man, who possesses a wardrobe for sports and an active lifestyle, she says.

FUR MAKES HAPPINESS SHINE The grand finale of the second Miss Happiness Competition was held in Beijing on 16 January with more than 500 VIP guests attending the event.

Of the 20 finalists from seven regions Su Siqi was crowned Miss Happiness and will be the image ambassador for Kopenhagen Fur for 2013/14. The annual competition is run by Kopenhagen Fur and is the biggest model contest in the fur industry worldwide. The regional competitions took place in Harbin, before touring to Changchun, Shenyang, Taiyuan, Dalian, Beijing and

16

Shanghai with about one thousand candidates entering the competition. This year the 20 finalists were trained by famous Danish photographers and European super models. The grand finale was kick-started by seven European super models wearing a traditional Chinese qipao and with the performance of Chinese opera singers.

Each of the super models participated in one regional contest and acted as mentors to the candidates. The super models lead the 20 finalists to the stage wearing a wide variety of fur styles. The candidates had to pass three tests; to walk the catwalk to prove their model skill, to give a personal statement about happiness, and to put on their best talented show. All

SEAL BELONGS ON THE INTERNATIONAL RUNWAYS The International fur house Great Greenland has collaborated with Benedikte Utzon, the famous Danish fashion designer, to create this year’s seal collection, which tells the story about a fabulous material and also about injustice done to the Inuit people of Greenland. BY TOBIAS ØSTERGA ARD BRANDT PHOTO BY MAGNUS OMME

Great Greenland and Benedikte Utzon presented this season’s collection at the Copenhagen Fashion Week AW 2013/14 on a minimalistic runway with a rough soundtrack, which complimented the somewhat raw and natural Benedikte Utzon collection very well. Benedikte Utzon is a well-known designer on the Danish fashion scene. She has previously created many seal collections for Great Greenland during the nineties. Now Utzon has returned to Great Greenland’s fold at a time when the clouds are gathering over the seal industry. An EU ban on seal trade has brought the sustainable trade to its knees. But this year’s collection is here to show the world that seal in fashion is anything but beaten. TIGHT, SEXY AND RAW The Danish designer is fond of seal both as a material but also as a cultural entity. -Seal is a very fashionable material, and we have created this collection to show the

A PRIL 2013

industry that seal can be used in the most innovative and fashionable ways. We have previously seen very traditional hunter’s jackets, but this collection is anything but traditional. I have created a sexy and raw expression, which resembles the rough but beautiful nature of Greenland. This collection is for women who dare cross boundaries, said Benedikte Utzon immediately after the show and continued; - I want people to see that seal is a fantastic material with both unique history and characteristics. I have combined seal with stretch leather, so that it feels and looks tight, sexy and raw. On its own, seal can appear somewhat masculine but combined with leather or mink or fox it transforms into a very exclusive material. THE EU BAN IS STRANGLING DECADES OF HUNTING HISTORY As a profession, seal hunting is as old as the

native people of Greenland. For centuries, the people have lived as hunters. When EU launched its ban on seal trade in 2010 it was a total catastrophe for the native hunters of Greenland. Even though the ban holds an exception to the Inuits it resulted in a total collapse of the Greenlandic exports of seal. No one knows about the exception, thus no one trades seal. For Benedikte Utzon it is very important to get the message about the unfair ban on seal trade across to the fashion audience. - This collection is all about the history of the Inuit hunters. This is a thousand year old culture that needs our aid now. This is serious business and we need to tell the world about this oppression of ancient culture, said Benedikte Utzon. Visit www.greatgreenland.com for more information about the AW 2013/14 collection and the hunter history.

KOPENHAGEN FUR FLASHES ON BEIJING FUR FAIR In January, the 39th China Fur & Leather Products Fair (Fur Fair China 2013) was held in China National Convention Center in Beijing. Among hundreds of exhibitors from all over the world, Kopenhagen Fur stood out. BY BRUCE DONG

Kopenhagen Fur’s booth was shaped like a museum. Five areas showing fur farming, fur quality, auction, creativity and usability, gave thousands of audiences a vivid picture and presented all aspects of Kopenhagen Fur’s businesses. Kopenhagen Fur booth attracted more than 500 guests every day, most of them being industry elites, members of the media, fashion designers and fur fans. - It’s a unique experience to walk

about the Kopenhagen Fur booth and experience the entire process ranging from fur farming to fur fashion. I’m interested in fur techniques and learned a lot from the technique samples. I hope that I can go to Denmark one day and taste the magic of the fur world, said Zhang Liqing, owner of Jingjia Fur Garment Factory. In front of China’s largest television media, Kenneth Loberg, Director of Marketing and Business Development

of Kopenhagen Fur, introduced all the programmes promoted by Kopenhagen Fur in China and showed Kopenhagen Fur’s unremitting efforts at sharing knowledge and innovation within design and fur fashion. - Fur Fair China attracts more participation and attention from the fur industry and has become one of the most influential professional fairs in the world, said Kenneth Loberg.

DEMYSTIFYING THE FUTURE OF THE FUR INDUSTRY IN CHINA “Kopenhagen Fur Summit 2013” was held in the National Convention Center in Beijing with great success. As one of the most influential fur industry development conferences in China, the summit covered core areas of the industry development and gathered high-profile professionals in their respective fields. BY BRUCE DONG

It is meaningful to host a dialogue about the future economic development of the fur industry right after a successful season for a majority of the players in the trade. Sustainable growth and more competitive industry structure are that key areas attract much interest from both insiders and outsiders of the industry. Under the theme “Create the Future of Fur Business - Rethink, Redesign, Rebuild”, the aim of the summit is to pinpoint the sustainable growth engines against the backdrop to a prosperous industry development pace. The participants of the summit included renowned Chinese economists, industry experts, fur company top

A PRIL 2013

executives, designers, brand management experts, PR specialists, fashion company representatives, department store managers, design education experts and media from China and abroad. They exchanged opinions, shared ideas, identified future opportunities and forecasted challenges for seizing these attractive opportunities in a sustainable manner. During the summit, Kopenhagen Fur released a valuable industry report – 2012 Market Research Report on Chinese Fur Consumption Market. The report indicated that, in 2012, the Chinese demand for fur grew very quickly. The growth rate was higher than expected, 31%.

During the summit, Kopenhagen Fur signed an agreement with the Chinese Fashion Association to set up a strategic alliance. The Chinese Fashion Association is the most important national industry organization for Chinese fashion designers, fashion design institutes and professional models. Furthermore, the association is the organizer of the famous Beijing International Fashion Week. This alliance of historical significance is formed to promote a deeper integration of the fur and fashion industry and to stimulate further development of design and branding of the Chinese fur industry by aligning the resources between the leading organizations in the industries.

FUR, FUR EVERYWHERE The AW 2013/2014 collections showed the unlimited use of fur on sunglasses, shoes, bags, mittens and hats – even fur as Mohawks. BY JOSEFINE BØGH NEDERMARK

New York sets the scene for fashion and, at this season’s first fashion week in New York, New York wanted fur. Especially a pair of oversized mink mittens that looked like boxing gloves of fur attracted much attention, not least because the two designers Alexander Wang and Joseph Altuzarra used these big fur mittens in their shows. London Fashion Week showed clean lines, timeless elegance and luxury materials such as leather, cashmere and,

22

of course, lots of fur. The up-and-coming brand, Sister by Sibling, showed oversized woolly jumpers and funny hats in beautiful colours paired with arm-warmers and big scarves of fur. Also, the highly praised American Tom Ford took in the London energy and showed how to make big coats with coloured fur. During Milan Fashion Week, the fur front-runner was Fendi with Karl Lagerfeld as head designer. Fendi showed fur ranging from luxurious and

beautiful furs to wild neon-coloured fur in a punk version such as Mohawks , sunglasses, belts and high heels of fur. Prada too provided the unexpected in the form of smart coat sleeves of chinchilla. Furthermore, next year’s trend is luxury as it was also seen at Paris Fashion Week being a category with plenty of room for fur. Moreover, it seems that the must-have bag might be replaced by the must-have coat. And it will probably be one of fur.

SORTING COURSES ARE AN IMPORTANT CONTRIBUTION TO THE VALUE CHAIN Three times a year, future businessmen and women in the fur trade are taught nearly everything there is to know about the trade at Kopenhagen Fur’s Sorting Courses. BY TOBIAS ØSTERGA ARD BRANDT

Although the fur trade is full of unique profiles and career stories, the story of Monica Pons is rather special. She is no classic character of the fur trade, and actually sees herself more as an entrepreneur who fell in love with fur and the trade by chance. She enrolled for Kopenhagen Fur’s Sorting Course to expand her network and to learn everything about fur and the fur trade. A FUR ADVENTURE BASED ON SOLID NETWORKING Monica is 29 years old and comes from Brazil. She is a qualified engineer but, until recently, she worked with sales in finance. In 2009 she left Brazil for London to pursue the dream of becoming an entrepreneur. She is currently living in Berlin where she has kick-started a new project based on the online sale of fur designs. -By eliminating the physical shop I manage to offer a luxury product at a reasonable price. I want to provide a good customer service and build up a trustworthy brand – and everything will be online at reasonable prices. I

24

attended the Sorting Course to learn more about fur and sorting and also to make new business contacts from all over the world. A professional network is extremely important in this initial phase and I have met many potential business relations during the last few days. I have learned much about the market and the auction house, and I have made new friends. The three Sorting Courses have different durations and themes. The Sorting Courses in January and October offer a basic training in types and sizes, colours, qualities and labels as well as the sorting of raw mink skins. The longer course in May/June, however, is a comprehensive introduction to both sorting, fur in general and marketing as well as the auction procedures at Kopenhagen Fur. The varied backgrounds of the participants seem to be very beneficial. - We come from various lines of businesses; traditional brokers, designers and even a mink farmer who just started his business. I think it has been a great way to

learn about all the aspects of the fur trade. SECURING THE FUR TRADE OF THE FUTURE For Kopenhagen Fur, the Sorting Courses play a very important role in future development within the trade. Hanne Kirkegaard of Kopenhagen Fur says; - The Sorting Courses are very important to our future business. By introducing new customers to the sorting standards of Kopenhagen Fur we are securing a high level of knowledge among future brokers. At the same time we give them a proper introduction to our auction house and the whole setup of the business. Hanne Kirkegaard reports that there has been an increase in applications and interest for this season’s Sorting Courses as well as future courses. - There is no doubt that these courses contribute to stronger business relations within the industry. We are currently experiencing a great demand and we welcome all new participants as we believe that everyone benefits from stronger relations, both the trade and the auction houses.
