K-WIND20 K-WIND30

k-WIND: IDEAL LOCATIONS FOR INSTALLATION Farm holiday centers, farms, private citizens who possess a plot of land (as long as they are near to the power line), on the coast or mountain villages where wind is constant, small and big enterprises. Wind strength is determined by the speed (measured either in metres per second or in kilometres per hour). The ideal installation which guarantees a good investment should take place in areas where wind speed is 4 or 5 m/s or more.

AN ACCESSIBLE RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCE Small wind turbines use wind to produce electricity. They are so called ‘small’ to differ from bigger devices, they are much easier to install and are suitable either for private or industrial use.

ADVANTAGES:

• No need of high wind speed • No need to detect the direction of prevailing winds • Low impact on the landscape • Low maintenance costs • Accessible and profitable investment opportunity (according to local agreements) • Installations do not invade the ground compromising the use of it

Nominal Power: 30 kw Wind Rotor diameter: 11 meters Quantity of blades and material: 3 in reinforced fibreglass Tower height: 20 meters Nominal wind speed: 12 m/s Start-up wind speed: 3 m/s Maximum wind speed: 60 m/s Working voltage: V DC500 Generator: the direct drive permanent magnet type Speed regulation: pitch control/Active yawing Braking system: pitch control/Active yawing/ hydraulic handbrake Yaw system: servo-assisted yaw control Wind turbine weight: 1300kg

THE ADVANTAGES OF INSTALLING N. 2 K-WIND30 TURBINE SYSTEMS • They take only a small plot of land • Agricultural lands are preserved • Farms can create their own electricity • The structures are tall but do not disturb the landscape • Installing 2 structures instead of one only is less costly • Low-voltage installation (since it is under 100kw)

INCLINABLE STEEL TOWER

FOUNDATIONS

CONTROL SYSTEM

According to the characteristics of the ground our technicians will establish how to create the plinth. Usually it is made in RCK 25N/mm2 concrete and steel rebars. The size of a turbine with blades of 6mt is 3,8 x 3,8 x 1,6mt.

Within the control box you can find the parts you need to convert the energy produced by the wind turbine which then must be introduced in the local electric distribution network. The control box and eolic inverters are made according to standards.

The tower being inclinable allows easy maintenance at a low cost. The height is 20 meters (divided in four parts). Ground base has a 1 meter diameter made of galvanized steel; hexagonal/polygonal section. Supplied with complete structural calculation report.
