When we take ownership of something–an item, an idea or a goal, we are more committed to it. When you have a goal, share it with a friend. Those who sent weekly progress reports to their friend accomplished significantly more than those who had unwritten goals. This is a great book to use in groups or to track along with a coach. According to a study done by Gail Matthews at Dominican University, those who wrote down their goals accomplished significantly more than those who did not write down their goals. In fact, she found that you become 42% more likely to achieve your goals and dreams, simply by writing them down on a regular basis.
