Be curious and ask appropriate questions. Enter unexplored areas where there is the least competition. Identify the gaps and explore them persistently. Experiment to fill those gaps. Learn by doing. Don’t worry about failures. Treat failures as experiments. Publish papers in quality journals.

Work hard, smart, and wise for 20 to 25 years.

Enjoy the journey to reach your destination. Avoid instant gratification. Inventions mostly happen by choice, not by chance. Research ideas come from the strangest sources and places while walking, driving, reading, writing, teaching, cooking, washroom, and music. Believe in pluck, not in luck as luck plays a minor part in the research. Create solutions, add value to the world and win the Nobel Prize.

Malcolm D. Shuster in his research paper Advice to Young Researchers offers advice to young researchers as follows: Work hard and do good work! Be focused. Put not thy trust in drawings! Put

not thy trust in others! Be real! Don't always be practical! A wise man can learn from anyone. It is better to be right than "practical." Pay attention to small details! Develop intuition! Not all work is valuable. Be a dilettante! Be unreasonable sometimes! Knowledge is infinite; humans are finite. The most important research is often about finding questions, not about finding answers. Check your work! Have courage! Carpe diem! Keep it simple. Be useful. Research ideas sometimes come from the strangest places. A simulation is a valuable tool. Thinking is better than computing. Simulation is not proof. Not all simulations are equal. Write as you go! Don't rush to publication! Use clear and systematic notation! Do not build permanent monuments to bad work! Don't defend your mistakes! The world will remember only your archival publications. Good ideas often come quickly; good publications always require a lot of work. Not quantity but quality! Be pedagogical in your papers! Good cooks leave good recipes.

Always give credit where credit is due! Pride goeth before a fall. Non illigitimi carborundum est! Good teaching in engineering is research. The dark side of research is that we all screw up, life is not fair, and

IT Infrastructure is the jumble of technologies that make up the physical and virtual systems that supply the networking, computing, and storage that services rely on. In fact, a customer-centric approach to company is extremely efficient. Customers, and their opinions and sentiments toward a company, ultimately determine its fate. You'll be on the fast track to business success if you focus your operations and strategy on embracing customers and making them happy.

IT Infrastructure Improvement Strategy 1. Analyse Cloud: Examine whether your company's cloud decision is sound. In today's world, most businesses opt for either hybrid clouds or multi-clouds.

Managing people in Project management Introduction What is a Project - According to PMI’s PMBOK a project is defined as a temporary endeavor undertaken to create a unique product, service, or result?

What is project management - Project management is the application of knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to project activities to meet the project requirements.

So, what so important about managing people in project management? It's people who carry out the activities. The importance of budget, time, and quality to the success of projects means that they are often managed as technical systems rather than behavioral systems. Yet mismanagement of the ‘people’ aspects of projects is as likely to contribute to their failure as neglect of the ‘hard’ dimensions of project management. This is because the successful implementation of any kind of project requires the effective deployment of human as well as material resources. Indeed, without people, no project could exist in the first place.

A project manager must manage, communicate with, and connect with lots of people during the entire project duration and get them involved in completing project activities and moving the project forward. The success of the project lies in the hands of these people, how they execute/carry out their respective project activities and how they interact with each other and the stakeholders on the project.

Project management institute’s PMP (Project management professional) certification is one most well-recognized certification in project management has recently revised their exam to include 42% of their questions with people management which shows that emphases are more on people management than any other domains.

To conclude, People are the key components of project management and they are often neglected.

Concept Bruce Tuckman’s The Five Stages of Team Development. Every team goes through the five

stages of team development; there are no exceptions. Regardless of whether a team is working on a small, simple initiative or a large, complex global initiative, the team will progress through the five stages.

What’s important for the project manager is to understand the five stages and how to manage the team through the stages so that they can work more effectively as a team sooner rather than later, thereby making progress on the project tasks earlier on in the project launch.

The commitment levels of team members may vary depending on the project's complexity and environment. In the middle of the project, team members may be struggling to maintain their commitment and motivation. When this happens, strategies like revisiting the project's overall goals (getting back to the big picture), hold a 'learning' meeting (e.g. get someone out to chat to them about the latest technology trends in the weekly team meeting) can be devised to prevent a rut setting in.

People tend to first work on tasks they enjoy doing. A pitfall to watch out for is that more time may be spent on these preferred tasks, leaving little or no time for other, less enjoyable tasks to be completed. The project could be in trouble if the tasks that are neglected are on the critical path. To overcome these problems, inform each team member which of their tasks are on the critical path and when the deadlines are due.

Provide rewards (such as movie vouchers, coffee vouchers) for the completion of the critical tasks and publicly celebrate the completion of these critical tasks.

Providing regular feedback to team members (both employees and contractors) is critical.

Everyone wants to know how well he or she is performing. Conduct regular review meetings with the team member to discuss how well they have performed. This session should be balanced and where you discuss any difficulties, they may have experienced. You should also discuss the areas of their performance you are very pleased with.

Conclusion Only strong “people management” skills will help to establish a good rapport with all individuals on the project and ensure they are working effectively and efficiently to deliver the project tasks. A good people manager always stands up for his/her team, will win their hearts, and makes them want to follow him/her.

Undoubtedly, “people management” is the key factor in project management. Strong project managers pay close attention to the “people management” part of managing projects.

But let’s not forget about strong project management skills too!

Supply Chain Management and ERP Systems Supply Chain Management Supply Chain Management or SCM is the term for the management of the complete procedure flow of a good or service being transformed from its raw materials to the last step of the procedure i.e., delivery of the goods or the services. It begins with setting up a network or link in the chain, that allows the smooth movement of the product from the suppliers of the raw materials used and the companies or the clients that deal directly with the potential customers or the users.

Components of The Supply Chain Management System In a traditional Supply Chain Management System, there are five key components: 1. Planning The first step is to plan out everything before doing anything any further. It includes listing the resources required to create the good or service to meet the target customer’s requirements. Thus, it

might take a few revisions before finalizing all the resources; and mentoring whether the planning is efficient enough for the process or not.

2. Sourcing Once, the planning is over, the sourcing procedure starts, where the company finds out the right resource suppliers for their product and further manage the supplies and inventories and, monitor them as well. The payments to the suppliers and everything related to them is carried out in this step.

3. Manufacturing Another crucial step in the process is manufacturing, where all the raw materials are collected and put together to create the final product. As soon as the product has been created successfully, it is then tested for its quality and; at last, once the quality test is passed, the product is packed and is ready to be delivered or shipped to the users.

The delivery and logistics include scheduling the delivery of products, shipping of the products to the customers, provide them with the invoices and collecting the payment from them in return.

The better efficiency and productivity are a result of better planning possible with the Enterprise Resource Planning System. It helps every employee of an organization to work efficiently with a fewer resource. Thus, reducing the cycle time.

In the last step, if there is any query raised by a customer regarding the product being defected in any manner, it is returned to the manufacturer for checking if there is anything wrong with the product. The product is hence, collected from the customer. It might also be the case if the customer chooses to return the product without receiving it as it might; no more be their need.

2. Business Integration

Altogether, these keys work towards providing a good experience to the customer with the quality of the product, as well as; the service. Thus, Supply Chain Management plays a crucial role in a company’s management processes.

Poshmark: Re-Shaping the Shopping Experience In a competitive market where the dynamics change every minute, being a mediator could help one get the best of both worlds. One does not always have to be in the thick of it, instead, they could just create a platform empowering other to reap benefits off their creation. Poshmark is a social commerce marketplace based out of the United States where people can buy and sell used as well as new clothes, shoes, and accessories. They have their headquarters in California and are growing astronomically with the surge of people trying to get the best out of the market.

The founder of Poshmark is Manish Chandra who established the company in 2011 with the idea of changing the whole dynamic of shopping as well as the perception of people involved in the process. He thrived to create a community-based service where everyone would work cohesively, helping themselves as well as others. He was also the founder of the first social shopping company, Kaboodle in the year 2007 which was eventually acquired by Hearst Corporation. This whole platform has enhanced the love people have for

fashion and has helped them find more people who share similar interests.
