I’m a puppet, not a real bug.
Guess what? You have a ticket to go to Trusty Sidekick Theater Company’s production of Frolic!
I’ll be there with my best garden friends!
There are a few things I you arrive.
On the date of your scheduled show time, you will travel to the theater.
Depending on where you live, you may take a
Car Train or Bus
The show is at The Rose Theater inside of The Hitchcock Blackbox
When you arrive at the theater, you will first be greeted by Phoebe the Gardener.
Phoebe will welcome you to her clubhouse for The Garden Club Meeting.
Phoebe will give you a special spinner of the four seasons that looks just like the big button in The Garden.
On the back of this spinner is an agenda that lists what will happen during the show. You can follow along if you want.
Meet The Garden Club:
Ash Dot
Rafael Eugene
You will be assigned a friendly Garden Club Member to be your sidekick for the day.
You’ll receive a special sticker that tells you where to sit with them in the garden.
After we explore Phoebe’s clubhouse, it will be time to play pretend.
We will imagine that we are growing small -- as small as a little Glow Worm!
The Garden Club Members will play pretend, too!
When we grow small to explore the garden…
Rafael puts on black antennas and becomes… a butterfly!
Rafael the Butterfly loves to dance in Spring.
Eugene puts on a green hat and becomes… a frog!
Eugene the Frog loves to play music in Summer.
Ash the Ant loves to collect things in Fall.
Dot puts on a black hat and becomes… a ladybug!
Dot the Ladybug loves to sing in Winter.
Now that we are bug-size, we will travel from Phoebe’s clubhouse through a tunnel to Phoebe’s Garden to frolic and play through the seasons!
You will sit in the pod that matches your sticker and Garden Club friend.
We will explore the four seasons using our senses .
We can smell the flowers, touch the leaves, hear the music, and look at all the fun in the garden.
There will be singing, dancing, and even some games!
When the garden creatures invite you to join the fun you can follow them or stay and watch in your seat.
Please feel free to use the restroom during the show.
Your Garden Club friend will tell you where they are.
If you need a break at any point, you are welcome to go back through the tunnel to Phoebe’s Clubhouse and sit in the quiet area where there are cozy materials and sensory toys.
You can join The Garden again whenever you are ready.
At the end of our adventure, you will travel back through the tunnel to the Phoebe’s Clubhouse where we started and it will be time to leave.
