Celebrate with us!
As we open our 2024-25 season -- our 75th year of providing Omaha area families with the best in family-friendly entertainment -- we celebrate theater, family and lifelong memories! The Rose Theater and the Omaha Theater Company have entertained generations of families through productions featuring inspiring stories, toe-tapping musicals and hilarious hijinks. Our 75th season follows suit. Art springs to life (with musical flair) in Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Cat Kid Comic Club, and Pete the Cat. Coraline brings a dash of spooky fall fun. A story inspired by a local hero makes its world premiere with Secret Kindness Agents, and we learn to look at the world with empathy in Milo Imagines the World. We experience the importance of family in premium events like A Christmas Story and Disney / Pixar's Finding Nemo. There is so much to explore in this 75th season. Come celebrate all the magic of theater with us!

Guides

This guide contains a story synopsis, character descriptions and helpful information about the show’s content. To receive this guide be sure to provide your email address to the Box Office.
It is a long-standing tradition at The Rose to give kids an open and honest look at how we create the magic they see on stage. A childfocused Q&A is hosted from the mainstage after each performance. If your child still has questions after the show, we invite you to send us your questions online or in the mail. Inquiring minds want to know, and we are happy to provide the answers!
A trip to the mainstage theater can be overwhelming for some audience members. We offer a Restless Room with a live video feed of mainstage shows that may be used at any time during the performance. The Restless Room is a place where kids can wiggle, talk, play and otherwise just be a kid – without disrupting those around them. And best of all, you won’t miss a minute of the show.
Free booster seats are available for mainstage shows. The seats are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis in the lobby. A photo ID is required as a deposit. You are also welcome to bring your own booster seat!
Cookies and bottled water are available at intermission for premium event shows. The Rose Guild provides small snacks and water for purchase before member shows.
Premium event shows may include an intermission, but our member event shows do not.
