Our explorations of unconventional uses for corrugated paper board have resulted in applications such as Shop Display Systems, Wall mounted Storage Units and Chairs. Laminated versions are as sturdy as wood while do-it-yourself versions come packed flat for ease of storage and sale. Finished in natural or pigmented varnish made out of cashewnut skin resin, the products are termite and water resistant.

Designed for one of India's leading water heater manufacturers. The design exercise was aimed at commucating the products' safety features and conveying a friendly image. The Storage Heater is an answer to the onslaught of plastic bodied heaters from multinational companies.

Kitchen Sinks for Acrysil Limited, Bhavnagar. Design for a shrinking world. Kitchen sinks made in India for consumption in Europe.
A series of small water coolers for small offices, residential and commercial use. Developed prior to the advent of 20 Litre Bottled Mineral Water in the Indian market, these products were designed to gear up to tap the market by some very simple modifications. The design exercise led to a forty percent reduction in product costs. This product was awarded the Plastindia 97 Award for Best Product / Design.

Flushing Cisterns for Prayag Polymers Pvt. Ltd., New Delhi The cistern functions by trapping an air-lock to control the flow of water. Except for a spring to activate the air-lock, there are no moving parts. The cistern is water friendly as the flushing can be stopped at any time during the process. There are two versions, one for mounting next to the WC and one for remote installation.

The small, highly motivated team of designers at Studio Korjan are led by Dinesh and Rashmi Korjan. The firm is widely networked with specialists, professionals, model makers, tool makers etc. to provide comprehensive pre design, design and post design services.
Dinesh worked with the leading luggage manufacturer, VIP Industries Limited, where he helped establish the Skybags range of Soft Luggage and in particular the indigenously developed Jute range of bags. He lectures at the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, School of Interior Design, CEPT, Ahmedabad, Indian Institute of Crafts & Design, Jaipur, National Institute of Fashion Technology, Gandhinagar. He has been conducting Design related workshops for both industry and academia in India as well as abroad.
