Our Appreciation and Resolve In 2016, Mitsubishi Pencil celebrates the 130th anniversary since its founding in 1887. From the time our company was established, we have strived to manufacture writing instruments unique to Japan as a brand that originates from Japan. We are extremely grateful for all the support provided by our customers over the course of these 130 years that we have been in business. History of uni products 1887 Niroku Masaki, with 10 employees, establishes the Masaki Pencil Manufacturing Company in Shinjuku, Tokyo.
