Know before you go The Keller Pointe is a multi-use recreation family friendly facility in which a wide variety of services, programs, and events are conducted to enhance the morale and welfare of all Keller Pointe members, employees, authorized visitors, and the local community. In addition, the following general information sets forth expectations for all participants and visitors who use the facility for any purpose. It is the responsibility of the participant or visitor to review the all of the policies, rules, and code of conduct. Copies are available on request or can be found online at www.TheKellerPointe.com No refunds will be given for loss of privileges due to a final determination of the violation. All participants and visitors are encouraged to report any violation to a The Keller Pointe staff member immediately. As needed, the Keller Police Department may be called at any time to administer policy, rules, and code of conduct.
General Policies: • Act with courtesy and professionalism at all times. • Comply with requests and direction from The Keller Pointe staff, officials, instructors, and facilitators who are acting in the performance of their duties. • Comply with any policy, rules, and Code of Conduct set forth for the facility, program, event or class. • Wear appropriate family-friendly attire, including swim wear where applicable; shirts and shoes are required at all times outside the locker rooms (unless specified by The Keller Pointe management). Non-marking athletic shoes are required on the fitness floor, track, gymnasium, activity room and aerobic room. • Tobacco, food, chewing gum, glass bottles, and cans are prohibited on the fitness floor, track, gymnasium, and aerobic room. Plastic water bottles are acceptable. • You risk losing your facility membership if your card/membership is used by anyone other than yourself and/or you fail to comply with the stated policy, rules, and code of conduct. • Lockers are for daily use only. The Keller Pointe personnel will reset all locks at the end of each day. • The Keller Pointe is not responsible for damaged, lost or stolen property. • All coolers are subject to inspection by The Keller Pointe staff.
Participants must refrain from the following: • Rude, aggressive, lewd, obscene, or indecent conduct/expression and behavior in any form including physical abuse, verbal abuse, threats, intimidation, harassment, bullying, coercion, profanity, and/or conduct which threatens or endangers the health or safety of any person. • Disrupting or obstructing any program, event, or class. The use of or solicitation of illegal drugs or drug paraphernalia while on the premises. • Any action which constitutes an attempt to inflict, or the actual infliction of, or injury to other participants and/or staff. • Willful damage or destruction to the facility or property. • Unauthorized entry to areas to restricted areas or equipment. • Photography and videotaping in member or day pass areas of the facility without prior approval of The Keller Pointe and/or the participants being photographed or taped. • Unauthorized commercial activity - no person is allowed to post, advertise, instruct in private lessons, or solicit individuals in the facility for personal services or for personal businesses that are not directly affiliated and approved through The Keller Pointe.
Fitness & Weight Floor: • YOU MUST BE 16 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER TO BE ON OR USE THE FITNESS FLOOR without adult supervision. • Children, strollers, carriers, etc. are prohibited from the fitness floor, weight area, and track. • To use the fitness center without adult supervision you must be at least 16 years of age. Teens 13-15 years of age may be allowed to use the fitness center equipment under direct parental supervision at all times. This includes the parent ensuring the child is appropriately using the equipment, that the child is using proper body mechanics, being courteous to other members and following all other fitness floor and facility rules and regulations. • Teens 16-17 years of age may be allowed to use the fitness center equipment by having a parent or legal guardian sign a liability waiver. •
Gymnasium: • Children, 9 and under, must be directly supervised by a guardian 16 years of age or older. • Open gym schedules can change at little notice due to availability, leagues, and programs. • Basketballs/volleyballs may be checked out at the front desk. A valid Keller Pointe membership card or picture identification is required in order to checkout any equipment. Failure to return the equipment may result in additional charges. • Dunking or hanging on the rim is prohibited.
Aquatic Facilities: • Children, 9 and under, must be directly supervised by a guardian 16 years of age or older wearing a swimsuit. • All swimmers must be wearing an appropriate family friendly swimsuit. • Shower with soap and rinse thoroughly before entering the pool. • Coast Guard approved life vest only. • Use of, including but not limited to, water wings, toys, facemask that cover the nose, personal toys including rafts, inner tubes, balls, or Frisbees and small rings are strictly prohibited. • All coolers are subject to inspection by The Keller Pointe staff. • For sanitary reasons, all clothing and diaper changes must be made in the family changing room or locker rooms.
Spa/Hot Tub: Children under 13 years of age are prohibited from using the spa. The maximum recommended time limit for spa use is 15 minutes. No oil-based products. CAUTION: If you are pregnant, have high blood pressure or are on medications, consult your physician prior to use. • No more than 13 people in spa at a time. • All General Pool Rules apply. • • • •
Lap Lanes: • Lap lanes are for continuous lap swimming; please use proper lap swim etiquette. • Hanging, sitting, or climbing on lap lines, railings, or safety ropes is prohibited. • Please consult the pool schedule for lap swim availability.
Slides: • A person must be 42" in height to ride indoor waterslide and 48" in height to ride outdoor slides. • Maximum rider weight is 250lbs for indoor slide and 300lbs for outdoor slides. • All eyewear and floatation devices must be removed. • Only one person at a time may ride. • Riders must lay on their back, feet first with arms crossed. • Riders must exit the catch pool quickly. • Parents are not allowed to catch children at the bottom of the slide. • Foreign objects and jewelry are not prohibited.
Enforcement: The Code of Conduct and Rules and Regulations of The Keller Pointe will be enforced by the staff, officials, instructors, and facilitators whose authority shall prevail in the immediate situation. If a violation occurs with a city employee, the immediate supervisor of the employee will be notified. If a violation occurs with a contractor employee, the contractor’s human resources office will be notified. The following actions may be taken for violations of the Code of Conduct and/or Rules & Regulations: Violations of the code that do not constitute an immediate and apparent threat to the safety of others or their property will result in all or some of the following actions, including, but not limited to: • Verbal warning • A suspension of certain and/or all privileges for a specified period of time • A permanent suspension Violations of the Code and/or rules that are deemed to constitute an immediate or implied threat to the safety of others or their property, and/or the safety of the facility or property may result in the following actions, including, but not limited to: • A one to six month suspension • A six to twelve month suspension • A permanent suspension
Track: • YOU MUST BE 13 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER TO BE ON OR USE THE TRACK without adult supervision. • Children under 13 years of age MUST be under direct adult (16 years of age or older) supervision at all times, that includes the adult ensuring the child is being courteous to members and following all other track and facility rules and regulations. • Strollers, carriers, etc. are prohibited from the track at all times.

Failure to adhere to any of the above rules, regulations, and policies will result in immediate removal from The Keller Pointe. Serious violations will result in suspension or termination of annual, monthly, or daily pass.
