Course! There would probably be too many band conflicts for the show to ever go ahead, but backstage would be one hell of a party! KCM: What’s this new album all about?
Chatting it up with
STAR SCREAMS, ADAM LIGHTSPEED By: Paulina Stasicka and Agnieszka Wilde.
Star Scream is a London based band that totally unique by my standards and so we had Paulina check in with Adam to see what’s been cooking…… KCM: What would be your dream gig? Who would you like to play with onstage? ADAM: My dream gig would be to resurrect the ashes of the Astoria for one amazing gig. Featuring some of the most influential bands at different periods of their careers – Smashing Pumpkins circa Mellon Collie & the Infinite Sadness, The Holy Bible era of The Manic Street Preachers, Jane’s Addiction after reforming for the Strays album and Marilyn Manson featuring the classic line up and performing my favorite album off all time – Mechanical Animals… With Star scream headlining, of
ADAM: Sexploitation is an attack. It’s an attack on Art, Culture, Voyeurism, Performance and the concept of what an album can be in 2010. It’s a commentary on the seedy underbelly of exploitation, from the streets of Soho to the forced identikit music we are forced to endure on a daily basis. It is to show everyone who has no idea of originality and nothing to say that you can create a body of work that is fresh, exciting and sounds like nothing else. If you think you’ve heard everything, you haven’t heard this.
KCM: What do you want people to know about your band? ADAM: I don’t want them to know anything. I want them to HEAR us. People need to listen to Star Scream with no preconceived ideas, just an open mind and a love for real music which actually means something. We let the music do the talking and it has a lot to say.

KCM: If all human kind were wiped out, what the hell would you do? ADAM: I would search the world in the hope of finding the only other woman left alive, then I’d see if the “I wouldn’t sleep with you if you were the last man on Earth” line is a lie. KCM: Name three favorite things? ADAM: 1- My custom made guitar – Shelly Hoare. 2- The smell of Petrol. 3- Fret Wanking.

“On the Hunt for brutal truth” Interview Samuel Dillon of
Tres Calaveras
I would be joking if I called it living in London, surviving would be the correct term to use. The shows are what we live and almost die for, there has been hospital trips and split lips. Guitars to the head, a bass drum in the mouth its becoming a health hazard. Being at the center of such a sleazy and prolific scene made the 24hour plane ride worthwhile.

So here we are with an interesting dude from Australia who lives in London and has a band with a Spanish name and is more obnoxious then most Brits on a rainy day. Read on and get to know a little piece of Samuel Dillon of Tres Calaveras. “Interesting” doesn’t begin to describe him. KCM: Tres Calaveras that’s an unusual band name? What does it mean? Samuel:: Tres Calaveras- it means 3 skulls in Spanish. Calaveras also refers to a collection of poems used on the Mexican day of the dead to
KCM: What’s your favorite song to play live and why? Samuel: Favorite song to play live... I’d say its "Right in front of your eyes" every time we get to the guitars in the chorus I like to imagine the world ending to the sound of my T-Rex screams.
KCM: What’s the one thing that would totally blow your mind? Samuel: One thing that would blow my mind? Being on a bill or working with Mike Patton, we have lots in common like an interest in feces and vocal experiments. A date with Jennifer Hudson would be mind blowing but now she’s gone from size 18 to size 12 I'm not that interested. http://www.myspace.com/kimmiramone

KCM: In two words describe your band mates? Paul: Talented, friends
"Straight up" with Paul Gautery from
The Glitterati. By: Agnieszka Wilde
This year The U.K. has been rocked by one of the coolest bands in the music industry. Earlier this year The Glitterati released a pretty damn awesome second album called "Are you one of us" and pretty great video called "Overnight Superstar" They certainly got my attention and I was excited to talk with Paul, their front man and start spreading the word in The U.S. as well as around the world.
KCM: These days The Glitterati would be considered a fairly new band since you’ve been only in circulation since 2004, were you surprised at how quickly people started to like you? Paul: Yes, at the start everything happened really quickly for us, we got a record deal after we had only been together a few months, but we had all been in bands before this one, and once we had the record deal, we toured constantly, slowly building our fan base.
Paul: Well I like the new one overnight superstar because that’s the one we want people to see Ha! Ha! But I had the most fun making the video for you got nothing on me as we filmed it in Tijuana Mexico, and it was a great place to visit. KCM: Did you ever expect that you would get this much recognition? Paul: We hoped, we would still like a lot more recognition, as our type of band here in the UK you can’t really get a look in on mainstream TV and Radio, so we tried to do things the old fashioned way of playing live and getting people into the band that way. KCM: Let’s rewind a bit, and tell me how it felt to record your first album In L.A?
KCM: What’s your best hangover cure? Paul: I haven’t found one, but I need coffee the morning after I can’t function without it. KCM: if you could change one thing in Rock and Roll, to suit your needs what would it be? Paul: Id would make it so we could get any tour we wanted, and have a fair chance at getting the band to a wider audience by getting more Press, T.V. and Radio. I hate it how some guy at whatever magazine or radio station sits there and decides what everyone else wants to read about or listen to, that’s why the UK music scene is so full of so much rubbish that all sounds the same.
Paul: It was amazing, getting to work with a legend like mike clink in such a beautiful place was like a dream come true, we felt a little under pressure as mikes worked on some of the biggest rock albums of all time, but he’s such a great guy and great producer that he takes the pressure away, it was a great experience. KCM: What inspires you in life? Paul: Just to keep doing this for as long as we possibly can, it’s all I’ve ever wanted to do and every day we do it I feel lucky.
New Album Out Now!!!!!!
Paul: This time around we had more control over the album and everything else about the band. At first we had a million people telling us how we should be doing things musically. We made a more aggressive album, but maintained the hooks which was our aim when we started writing and recording this album. KCM: If you had five minutes left to live what would your last words be?
Paul Gautery Fill in the blanks KCM: I’m not trying to change the world, I just want to: “Enjoy making music-because—it’s all I know how to do” KCM: My belief in “our band” should inspire people to “start their own band” KCM: Drink at your own “house it’s cheaper than London bars, Ha! Ha!” Rock and Roll at “all times or at least at our gigs” KCM: Who would you like to ultimately share the stage with? Paul: We have played with a lot of our heroes I guess Guns-nRoses would be the ultimate for us. KCM: In your opinion how has the band evolved in the last four years?
Paul: It depends does everyone have 5 minutes or just me? If it was just me I’d tell my loved ones not to worry about me and to look after each other, I’m all depressed now Ha! Ha! www.myspace.com/glitterati

AN INTERVIEW WITH LEE OF THE ♥ GYPSY
PISTOLEROS ♥
By: Phil Beaucamps Garcia KCM: First congratulations on finding this amazing sound, how did you find a way to mix flamenco with Sleazy Rock? You were living in Zaragoza for a while but that’s not the real place for Flamenco. LEE: Hi hermano! Thanks, I suppose we are pretty unique. I lived in Zaragoza from 91-94 in a half Spanish group called 'The Last Gang. During that time we supported U.F.O, Sepultura, The Ramones, Dio, The Cramps, Magnum, Motorhead & others on their Spanish Tours. I lived in the Puenre Del Libro barrio, Con los Gitano’s. I discovered Pata Negra, Ketama , but I loved the old school Rumba from the 70s & 80's Los Chunguitos & Los Chico’s, Lora Flores. I wanted to rock some of their songs up, we jammed with some Gypsy bands, plus a couple of members from Heroes del Silencio & I loved it. We played 'Ay que dolor' on the Ramones Tour 93. None of the Spanish members of the group wanted to do it, sacrilege. We did it & lived & it went down great!! KCM: You shared the stage with many of consecrated bands like LA Guns, Twisted Sister and Crystal Pistols, what was the
LEE: Our first Tour as Gypsy Pistoleros & our debut gig was in Spain on the Adlers Appetite Tour late 2006, then Dogs D'Amour Spain. Then we played Rocklahoma Festival U.S.A & we have played there every year, it’s a massive part of us. You name any iconic 80's group & we've played with them from T.S, Ratt, Vince Neil, L.A Guns, Pussycat, Vain, Cinderella, ZZTop, Queensryche. The reaction to us from other bands has been brilliant, we are at the moment Buck cherry’s favorite band & Billy Gibbons from ZZTop. It’s a bit freaky when these icons turn round & tell you that they love your group. Pretty humbling! KCM: What can we expect from a Gypsy Pistoleros show? LEE: This!! http://www.youtube.com/watc h?v=e0hmlaWsQk4 And This!! http://www.youtube.com/watc h?v=2RSyPWXzaug KCM: Your album, Wild Beautiful and Damned is a mix of a lot of music like Rock´n´Roll, Tex Mex and Flamenco. Do you think the sound of the band will evolve, and in which way? LEE: That was our first album, we're 20,000 albums down the road now! We are what we are. Hanoi Rocks jamming with Los Chunguitos at a massive pissed up party!! lol http://itunes.apple.com/gb/art ist/gypsypistoleros/id56759998 KCM: At last the Pata Negra guitarist, Raimundo Amador, could play with his idol BB King. Which idol are you dreaming to play with?
LEE: I sang 'Someone just like you' twice with Bang Tango (Joe Leste) at two U.S Festivals & sang with Robert Plant ( Rehearsal studio Birmingham) they were special. But Elvis Presley would have been the one!
KCM: Sometimes I can feel the influence of Mano Negra, the band of Manu Chao, What do you think about this band? LEE: Love them, legendary!!! KCM: Hanoi Rocks is another influence in your sound and now Michael Monroe started a new band following in the footsteps of Hanoi Rocks, but the one I think took the same direction as you is Sam Yaffa with Mad Juana. Do you see the connection? LEE: I do!! Love Mad Juana, Love Hanoi Rocks!!! My favorite band!!! KCM: So what do you remember about your life in Spain? LEE: Lots of great friends, laughs, great gigs, loved it!! You are fuckin loco & I love you for it! It made me as an artist & it created the Gypsy Pistoleros. We are planning on doing a lot more in Spain next year. We haven’t played since supporting Ratt at Bilboa in 2009.
Our papers were not in order on one tour with Faster Pussycat, Bang Tango, Enuff Z Enuff, so we couldn’t play Scandinavia dates. We headed straight to Barcelona & camped outside the Zeleste, Pepe at his bar. He fed us, got us drunk for 3 days before the rest showed up, special people!! KCM: Is there a good connection with Spanish audience in the shows? LEE: Always has been fantastic!!! Our second home after Texas!!! KCM: Your music is about partying all night does that ring true in your normal life?
LEE: Stiff Little FingersInflammable Material, Hanoi Rocks- Bangkok shakes, Saigon Rocks, Hanoi Rocks, & Crystal Pistol-Crystal Pistol KCM: Say something for the readers of KRASHCITY Magazine? LEE: “If you're reading this in KRASHCITY Magazine your one of the coolest fuckers on the Planet and I salute you!!! You are the real reason why any of us do this!!! Cheers amigo for the interview!!” Heres a link for you to the EPK -ww.sonicbids.com/gypsypistoleros

LEE: Yep!! We're a rock n Roll cliché & proud of it! KCM: What are the plans for the rest of the year? LEE: We play the Bulldog Bash Festival Sat 14th August, main stage 8.30PM before the headliner & then Upton 2010 festival with Simple Minds, Boomtown Rats, Sham 69,Eddie & the Hotrods, Thunder, Whitesnake, & we finish the Festivals in December Hard Rock Hell!!! Letting go of my creative value, value as a person being marked by Magazine covers or record sales. Creativity and personal value have nothing to do with success. KCM: What is your idea of a perfect day? Andee: Plenty of sleep and freeflowing creativity. KCM: What bands have you been in before and how did you end up with the Dark Party?
Photo By: Steve Prue “Exploring Das Reptile Hause with Acey Slade and the Dark Party” By: Agnieszka Wilde
Hanging out with the Dark Party is like being Alice and falling through a hole which leads to Wonderland. They are colorful, decadent and consist of psychedelic bits with gothic sprinkles. Read on and find out how they all blend in and make up the Dark Party. KMC: What are you looking most forward to on this European Tour?
Matt: The most noteworthy band that I was in previous to the Dark Party was my band from Minneapolis called Chariots (America, North). Our album "Congratulations" (released on the record label Troubleman Unlimited) brought us to play with acts like Blood Brothers, The Plot to Blow Up the Eiffel Tower, and Thrones to name a few. I've played (and listen to) every type of music. However, I find myself always adding the aggressive style my own to each project. I also, always found myself most content playing with powerful rock bands. I have been friends with Acey and Andee for a number of years now, and when the drumming position came up I auditioned and the rest is history.
KCM: Who is Matt Kepler?
KCM: What type of profession would you pursue if you were not talented enough to be a Musician?
Matt: I am a multi talented guy with my fingers in a lot of pots, but for the context of this interview I am the drummer of Acey Slade & the Dark Party.
Percy: Graphic designer or something sports related. Yes, I am the jock of the band and parallel with that, I have to do something creative. It is just the way I am.
KCM: Tell your fans what gets you off?
KCM: Name one language that would get you so tongue tied there’s no way you could Learn it?
Andee: Beautiful autumn vistas.
Percy: Something that possesses a unique character, challenges. KCM: How would you say you’ve evolved and grown up in the last five years? Acey: I've learned that being current and being creative are two different things. Also that success has to be an inside achievement and not one from the outside. So, I've evolved by letting go.
Acey: I've tried to speak a little Japanese and a little German, Nothing scares me. KCM: What are some of your “Likes” and “Dislikes”? Andee: Like strong character, dislike homogeny. KCM: What are you looking forward to on this European tour?
Matt: I'm looking forward to being in Europe for this tour! I've done many Tours of the U.S. with previous bands and had a European tour booked with Chariots, which unfortunately we had to withdraw from. So, I now finally get to get over and rock Europe. KCM: What’s your recipe for the perfect drink? Percy: Vodka, Seltzer with a lime, no need for fufu ingredients. No need for unnecessary hangovers. Keep it simple, keep it clean. KCM: If you had a choice to be a Historical Figure such as: Napoleon, Marquis De Sade Jean Lafitte, which one would you choose and why? Acey: Juan Valdes or Pietro Ferrero. Why? Well you know it would have to do with coffee or Nutella, right? KCM: What’s the one thing you want to accomplish but have not yet done? Andee: Paying August rent. KCM: Three must haves that you own? Matt: I try (key word being "try") to keep my life simple. That being said and having a history of being to Hell and back in my life, I really don't have anything that I would say I must have....aside from my personal drive to be better each day. I don't count on having things forever, so I enjoy them but do not become dependent. KCM: What song off this album is your fave to play live? Percy: Oh, c'mon! It can't be just one. "She brings down the moon", "Coming down", "Sugarcum". But also there are some new songs which are a blast to play live. KCM: From your view point, what’s the perfect recipe for disaster? Acey: Chili and Babies. KCM: One song you’ve written that you’re proud of because it carries a great message?
Andee: I haven't written a song with a great message, but I’m proud of many of them just the same. KCM: Name one thing that you would be shocked by? Matt: That's a funny point that I've brought up in conversation before: I really don't have much that can shock me anymore. A quote someone said about me once that I felt is pretty accurate..."Matt's seen some shit". All my life I've been around (and friends with) the "crazies", my baseline for "normal" is so far askew that nothing's shocking.
KCM: Fill in the blanks: Before you stands Acey Slade______ Of the ______. You must always obey _____ or you will_______ till you die!!! Acey: Before you stands, Acey Slade The Pumpkin King of the town of Halloween. You must always obey my magic 8 ball or you will have honey poured on your feet and ring tailed Lemurs will lick it off until you die!!!

So..That is NOT what I would call nourishment for the soul. But I started off with the right idea!

ROCK TO CURE CANCER
Interview With
KCM:
Kimmi Ramone
Who is Kimmi Ramone?
Kimmi: A Ramones fan, punk fan. Someone who has lost many to cancer. Both grandfathers and the mother of my childhood best friend were lost to various forms of cancer. Just someone who wants to help end this vicious horrible disease. Someone with no money to directly contribute, but the tenacity to pursue people who are in a position to help KCM:
What are some of your hobbies?
Kimmi: Drawing when I get the chance. These benefit concerts consume so much of my time and energy, I don't draw nearly as much as I would like. Drawing is very therapeutic for me. Very soothing. KCM: I read that you draw portraits of musicians, have you been successful at selling any of your drawings? Kimmi: I really haven't sold more than a few pieces here and there. I would love to be able to make a living at it someday. KCM: Who was your favorite artist to draw besides Joey Ramone? Kimmi: I have a huge thing for Joe Perry. I have done several of him including one that I had autographed by him back in the 90's. I have always been attracted to the "long messed up hair hanging in the face" look. I blame Joey for that. :) KCM: How did you come about the concept for “Rock to cure cancer?
Kimmi: It all started from an announcement I made on MySpace that my artwork was for sale with the proceeds going to lymphoma research. My friend Greg Ramone saw that and reposted it on his MySpace blog, and from there someone came up with the idea to do a benefit concert. The rest is history, as they say.
before expenses. Any little bit helps and it was a starting point for us. We have a bigger venue this year and bands with more of a fan base, so we have high hopes for this year. We expect to grow bigger and bigger each year.
KCM: How has the response been so far from other musicians to “Rock To Cure Cancer”
Kimmi: Oh my, so many. Of course if Joey came back to perform that would be the ultimate dream. In lieu of that, someone of the caliber of Aerosmith, Metallica, or Kiss would be awesome! Skid Row are also big Ramones fans, that would be very cool!
Kimmi: The response has been huge. I get tons of messages everyday from bands wanting to help out. More bands than we have shows for them to play. Many of Joey's friends contact me wishing to help. Many young bands who were influenced by the Ramones want to pay tribute to Joey. Many who have lost someone near to them to cancer. Some who are currently fighting the battle themselves. It would be very hard to find anyone who's life has not been touched in some way by this awful disease. Besides the love of the music, and our common adoration of Joey, cancer is the thing that we all have in common, in one way or another. That is the thing that binds us all together. KCM: How many benefits have you done so far and how much money have you raised? Kimmi: This is only our second year. We have only had one event to date, last year at JD's Place in Farmingdale, NY. It is a very small venue, and it was just bad luck that the weekend of our event, was the same weekend that there was a hurricane scare for Long Island. Our turnout was not what we had hoped for, we made just over $1000
KCM: Who would be your dream Artist to perform at one of your benefit concerts?
KCM: Are you planning on spreading your wings farther then just New York and London with this benefit? Kimmi: We have more events in the works here in the states, Phoenix will be probably just after the first of the year, our organizer there, the lovely and talented tattoo artist, Jessica Lea, has had a health scare and we want to get her all well first. In addition to London, we are working toward a “Rock To Cure Cancer” event in Germany, which will be organized by Joey's friend, Jorg Buscher. He is having some difficulties as well and we hope to have that event up and running in the next year. He has plans for the money from that event to partially go to a children's hospice there in Germany. The money raised at our international events will stay in that country, to go to a cancer related cause there. Our grand ambition is to someday have a “Rock To Cure Cancer” World Tour, with some huge name bands doing a Lollapalooza type thing. KCM: What else would you like to make people aware of?
Kimmi: I would like for people to understand what we mean by the word "cure". I have heard so many times how people believe that there will never be a cure for cancer, for one reason or another. When we say "cure", we mean improved treatments that will routinely provide remission for patients who are suffering. That in effect is their "cure". We want people to be aware that a diagnosis of cancer is not a death sentence. Our hope is that through research into lymphoma treatments, there will be a huge breakthrough that will be useful in treating multiple forms of cancer. We have recently become involved in bringing awareness to the Bone Marrow Donor Registry. Bone marrow transplants are currently being used to treat several forms of cancers and the need for matching donors is HUGE. Some people are hesitant to consider being a bone marrow donor for several reasons. They mistakenly think that getting on the Registry requires a blood test, when all it requires is a swab from the inside of the mouth. There are also big improvements in the harvesting procedures. In the event that they do match up with a cancer patient in need of a transplant, in 75% of the cases, what they need from you can be harvested from the blood. In the other 25% of the cases, when they do have to harvest bone marrow directly from the pelvis, it is an outpatient procedure, and in most cases they can return to work the same day. Many people who have the word "donor" on the back of their driver licenses, might be hesitant to donate bone marrow just because they are misinformed of the facts.

I listened to the album a few times and I have to be honest, I was amazingly surprised at how much I like this band. The lyrics are straight to the point and the melodies are catchy. Most songs are defined by very memorable choruses. These Italians know how to” Do it right” Johnny Rainbow (vocals) and Joey London (bass) started a Murderdolls tribute band in the summer of 2007. They were joined by Acey Starlight (guitar) and Ico (drums) and the dream had started to become a reality. Upon a few studio sessions the band came out with a sound of their own and started writing original material influenced by bands such as W.A.S.P., Mötley Crüe, HardCore Superstar, etc…
Johnny Rainbow In November of 2007 a three song demo was released called “Sex, drugs and Rock´n´Roll” followed by immediate live shows. Their popularity started to grow rapidly and in 2008 they won a contest called Roxx Zone which allowed them to record a full length album. In the summer of the same year, the band encountered a few line-up changes, a new drummer” The President” joins the band along with Danny Slade and the new members contribute to the desired sound of the band.

"Skull Daze" is released in May 2010 Danny Slade A four song EP called ”Dangertainment” is released in October which completely sells out. Intense live performances continued through the first half of 2009 before the band entered Outer Sound Studios in Rome, Italy to record the debut full length self-titled album “Skull Daze”. In February 2010 the Band is signed by Italian Indie Label "Street Symphonies Records".

The Holy Goats By: Helen Hosie
New Jersey based rock band, The Holy Goats, certainly know how to grab an audience’s attention, there sound is very much a blues/rock genre, with the soulful sexy vocals of their front man Todd Mc Culloch, Not only does he write all the bands material but also shows his talents on rhythm guitar. This band is very much all together and there sound is tight. One of my favorite tracks has to be "Something To Tell You" even though when listening to it I felt that there was a similarity to the band Audioslave, on the opening guitar intro but then it was a sound all of their own, this track had me hooked from the get go with the awesome guitar riffs and solos teamed with the slinky/hypnotic vocals, this guy can really hold a note for me this track pushed all my buttons. Another track that I would recommend listening to has to be the track called "Satisfied" This song totally had me satisfied, this song for me in one word has to be "Sexy" With blistering guitar riffs and a strong smooth bass line this track pulsed with energy, these two songs I
PAYDAY By: Helen Hosie
Payday, based in Thessaloniki, Greece, are indeed for me a diamond in the rough, There self titled album Payday released in March 2010, This album has a very 80s rock feel to it with strong bass lines, kicking drums and awesome guitars, not to mention the hypnotic vocal talents of John Miami. The bands influences Van Halen to ACDC, do show greatly in this album but they do add their own modern twist to it. One of my favorite tracks has to be without a doubt a track called "Reason", I have to admit from the start of the first guitar intro this track had my attention, in my book this is a song to blow the cobwebs away, the vocals draw you and keep you hooked, my second favorite on the album has to be "Good Luck" with a thumping bass line and rocking guitars, and the sexy raw vocals sure had my attention, and I am sure this band will have yours too, Personally I think that this album Is a crowd pleaser they have everything that you would look for in a rock band, but hey, don't take my word for it have a listen yourselves.
Dead Sara By: Helen Hosie
Los Angeles based Dead Sara, the band consisting of: Moxley Armstrong, Siouxsie Medley, Sean Friday and Chris Null. Unfortunately this band does not float my boat, their sound is a mixture of rock/country feels to it not something that I would normally listen to, but with the ever changing music industry and a new generation of listener, I am sure they will have an eager audience awaiting them, but sadly not for me. One thing I will say is it defiantly is a breath of fresh air to hear a female at the helm. I defiantly think there is a similarity to Suzi Quattro/Katy Perry, and to be honest none of the tracks got me overly excited but have a Listen to "Sorry for It All" the vocals are haunting and very slow paced to the other tracks I listened too, Another track I would recommend would be "Things Change Everything" This is a more edger track a bit more of a rocking edge to it more too my
liking, But hey I might have this Totally wrong, so as always don't take my word for it go and have a listen for yourselves for more band info catch them on

With 2010 energetic innovations. Sleazy Susan" and "Ten Shots Ten Minutes" are among my favorite track on the album. However, my personal favorite is "How It Goes" I love the lyrics of this song. Very Motley Crue which has always been among my all time favorite bands. Bottom line is: This album is definitely more than worth. Adding to your Rock 'n Roll library. A Great upcoming band. www.myspace.com/suite88

Trash Gallery By: Helen Hosie.
Canadian Rockers "Trash Gallery", Hell what can I say apart from this band had me totally rocking, I loved this band. If you’re a fan of the of British rockers "The Cult" I am sure you will love "Trash Gallery" with their awesome guitar riffs, proper rocking drums and smooth even bass-line accompanied with gritty vocals. This is Rock and roll at its finest. I found it hard to pick two tracks for you guys to listen too as all the tracks I listened to rocked out big style, I would recommend "Rumbling Train" I loved this track from the first guitar intro, its kicking bass-line and crashing Drums, it kept me thirsty and wanting more, another must listen to track has to be "Oceans" with its spine tingling intro, then BANG into full force drums and guitars totally in your face, teamed with the gritty rock vocals, this is my favorite, and rock at its finest. "As you breathe rock, we breathe rock, as you feel rock, we feel rock. Our energy now fills your room in which you are residing" (Quote by "Trash
Suite 88 By: Alexandra Schmied
The new album is a definite must have for everyone who appreciates Rock 'n Roll. Having caused a stir with their 2009 released single "Ten Shots, Ten Minutes", the album definitely delivers what it promises: Rock 'n Roll at its best packed with fast chugging, heavy guitar riffs and a bad ass metal edge. This talented upcoming Arizona based band revives the 80's Sunset Strip style Rock 'n Roll and performs with unexpected maturity as well as innovation. Kolton Lee delivers heavy, meaty metal riffs on the guitar. Drummer Jesse Clutch's myriad accents and embellishing sounds remind more of a rocking octopus than a human being. Singer Mike Gunns absolutely has a type of rough edge to his voice and leads the band with enormous talent and never ending energy. His voice parallels of what you would expect from a solid Rock 'n Roll band. The intros and acoustic riffs on this album have that old classic rock feel about them mixed
Suicidal Drivers By: Helen Hosie. For this review, we go for a taste of the med and comes in the form of Madrid based Punk/Rock band, Suicidal Driver .The band was founded by their lead guitarist Juanra Gener in 2007, then after a band member change have now recorded Disappear" (2010), With their punk/rock influences this gives us a refreshing new sound from the Spanish youngsters and well worth the listen. Two tracks that I liked and recommend has to be "Shoot Me to My Heart" this track has a very early Sex pistols feel to it musically they have a good and addicting sound start to finish., my second favorite has to be "Rest In Hell " this has a more
Edgier and rock feel to it and the vocals are much less punk than other tracks a bit gritty. All in all I liked these guys and as they yet older their music will grow with them and make them more kick as than they already are, as always don't take my word for it check them out band info at,
“Nothing’”, “Beware”, “Dirty Girl”, and “Sex, drugs and Rock´n´Roll” however there’s not one song I don’t like and I Recommended the whole album. I’m totally addicted and I guarantee you will be as well. They leave you with “Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide”

MONGREL by: Helen Hosie
ANTIGUA By: Agnieszka Wilde
SKULL DAZE By: Agnieszka Wilde I was very surprised to encounter a band from Italy (being that Scandinavia has a huge rock scene nowadays) who has enough balls, fire and charisma to bring back the good old days of 80’s Rock´n´Roll. Now don’t get me wrong this isn’t a throwback to the 80’s days of spandex and pleather, Skull daze have a modern twist on the good old days of such bands as Motley Crue. The Judas Priest-like guitars, pounding drums and even at times Mike Tramp (White Lion) sounding vocals makes me want to see these guys play in a huge arena. The songs are melodic with catchy hooks and have memorable choruses. Johnny Rainbow sounds more American than any other non-American front man I have heard so far. Not a hint of accent. My favorite tracks are:
As I'm discovering more artists from Spain, I'm pleasantly surprised at how much I like the music. Once again I'm being proven that singing in a Different language has no bearing on how I feel about the music. The Antigua CD starts with the explosive" Que Empience el show" this song is definitely an anthem and you have no choice but to sing along with it. The edgy guitars are Phenomenal and all the guest artists who sing on this song add ad an incredible party flavor. "Por Una Vez" and "Si Estas de paso" have amazing melodies and Juan’s voice is outstanding. Everything on this album makes you want to grab your friends and party. This is a perfect example of how to enjoy life! This whole album comes highly recommended, and if you want just a Little taste of how things are done in Spain then you must listen to Antigua.
It has been said before that Mongrel is the hardest working band in Boston, I personally have to agree. Mongrel a punk/rock/metal band and based in Danvers MA have shown that no matter what shit is thrown at them the get up dust themselves off and come back hitting us hard will their own epic sound, a sound all of their own. With a band member change and the unexpected arrival of female front women Jessica Sierra, she definitely gives the band a different feel Adam Savage, Mongrels guitarist and founder of the band has totally cracked it this time around. Recently after rerecording tracks they have given us the eagerly awaited EP entitled "The New Breed of Old School" It was hard for me to pick as I loved them all but I recommend the track called "I Refuse” I have to say since this track has been re- recorded with the new line up vocalist Jessica Sierra rocks this song with her own unique edge, the band sound is tighter than ever before I a nut shell "I Refuse " leaves me hungry and wanting more, The second track I have chosen has to be without a doubt the totally
hypnotic "Bound To Crash" this song gives me Goosebumps and also shows us that they are not one trick ponies and that they can vary their sound . The bass talents of Rev at the intro are haunting and guitar and drum talents of Adam and Dave rock this track. Overall I think these guys and gal are awesome but as I always don't take my word for it go check the band out their info can be found on the bands page. www.myspace.com/mongrel.

STAR MAFIA BOY By Agnieszka Wilde
I have been waiting patiently for this album to be recorded, and now that it has I expected nothing less than the near perfection that it is. The opening track “La Noche De Los Vampiros” begins with a slow build up and right when your heart starts to pound in your chest with anticipation the song continues with explosive guitars and melodic vocals. “Fruto prohibido” is dripping with abundant amounts of lust and down and dirty guitars bursting at the seams. When you get to “Dulce Sensacion” the smooth strokes of acoustic guitar and the heartfelt vocals engulf you right into the song. I don’t really like
Ballads but this one has definitely won me over. “ Entre Cristales Rotos” is one of my favorites because it’s filled with attitude and in your face” I don’t give a fuck” lyrics. The raunchy guitars take you slightly to the edge but not over enough for you to fall off and die. I feel this one touch my soul. “ Yo no puedo Esperar” has a nice tone of open airy guitars and the mere mention of demons has my blood boiling ten degrees higher. Next a great rendition of PEEP SHOW JUNKIES “Karousel Kitten” makes you want to be chased by a hot girl with a machete who threatens to take your life just because she can. This album ends on an incredible note with “Rock´n´Roll Business” and I have to admit that this track was a welcome surprise. This song’s makes me want to grab my friends and party with complete abandon. Star Mafia Boy and Juan Olmos (Antigua) do an amazing job on harmonizing their vocals. If there was ever an album that has captured the seven deadly sins, this one has done so with at least four. From Lust to demons, from Love to death this album is what it feels like to stand at the gates of success. www.myspace.com/starmafiaboy
