This word in the middle of the other page means “hi” in Polish. It is there since this is my mothertongue. I could also write “ciao” since Italy is where I was doing my degree. My name is Bartlomiej, but you can call me Bart, it will probably be easier for you. I have degree in Architecture, but i decided to fulfill my dream about becoming a car designer.
That is why i graduated Master Course in Transportation Design, held by IAAD in Turin, Italy. I would like to invite you to the journey through my portfolio, you will see here projects, raging from motorcycles, through sports cars, to big atom powered trucks. Hope you will enjoy it. Be sure to visit my website as well.

01 CONTRAST TO THE SIDE
Pininfarina Calmo, thesis project developed in colaboration
Design diversity is a result of one vehicle that is been manufactured in two different worlds one is consisted of full human work on the exterior surface. Much like coach building, the smooth side has been hammered and handled by craftsmen with only the minimum necessary assistance of tools and the experienced knowledge of metal forming. The resulting surface is used to cover part of the skeleton that is exposed on the other half of the vehicle. The rough, 3D printed side is the main skeleton
serving as chassis for the vehicle while it houses the interior and all the rest of the mechanical components necessary to consist of a full autonomous EV vehicle. Both of the sides are equally important for the finalization of the building process but since the mesh part constitutes the chassis, more attention to detailing and hard points is given. The intervention of human involvement is minimized while the human supervisor is needed only to evaluate the correct operation of the 3D printer.
Body is divided in two parts, smooth and meshed working against each other yet coexisting in perfect symbiosis. True smoothness and simplicity is shown against moving, complicated background and vice versa. Contrast that is created by their combination enhances rare and unique feel the vehicle has. Not only directionality of the design is important, cars like architecture are functioning in certain context, but unlike architecture are not to this context designed. Unlike architectural, vehicle
context is constantly changing, moving, transforming. Giving sculptural form and reflectivity of the surface allowed to match the car into the surrounding and truly fit it by creating unique vehicle environment bond that is experienced by bystanders and further expand in interior. Complex side on the other hand, by playfulness reflections, in modest and well exposed way shows more technical part of the design, creating dissonance that balances out clean reflections of the other side.
02 GOING BALLISTIC Ducati Panigale inspired Audi
pure experience Concept aims to implement bike-like feeling into a car. Chassis is full of openings, that create airflow and show mechanical parts in their pure and simple form. Vehicle architecture puts all the attention on the driver, positioning him ahead of the passenger and using a vertical wing both as a separation between them and as an aerodynamic element. The interior itself is ascetic, strictly utilitarian and again focused on the driver, giving him all the instruments and leaving a passenger only with a handlebar.
