// NOT TO SAVE ONE’S LIFE Innsbruck Finally Kreative Klan opens to the austrian hc scene!! We are hugely proud to announce that Not To Save One's Life, from Innsbruck (AUT), signed to Kreative Klan for the release of their first EP, out pretty soon and sounding pretty good!!! Based in Innsbruck/Tirol, some of them former members of We Put The Fun In Funeral and State of Decay, NTSOL started this new project with the intention of making a musical quantum leap! As they explained to us the name they came up with, comes from an austrian saying which is ‘Beim besten Willen nicht’ which would be like… “I wouldn’t do that… not even if doing it could save someone’s life”. A fun concept if you think about it… NTSOL recorded their Ep @ Kreative Klan Studio during the summer, one week of recordings, 4 tracks, lots of sandwiches, some naps after lunch and a late night vocals’ session in the end! The mix has been accurately completed the following month and the final master is going to be delivered in a few days… These magic moments and a lot more you will see in the upcoming Studio Diary we shot during the whole Ep production, on kreativeklantTV!! Meanwhile the band shot a video already, taken from the song ‘I, The Realist‘: some really cool montage of live sequences. The video is going to be released together with the album very soon!! So yes they are a metal band, and yes, they have some pretty hc attitude and YES, Philipp (the bass player) wears flip flop on stage (and recording btw)… but for what concerns songwriting and arrangements there is nothing they stopped themselves from doing. Nobody in the Studio said, it’s better we don’t do this because it’s quite out of genre… That is what we like here in KK. They wouldn’t be different from what they are… Not [even] To Save One’s Life… NTSOL are: Sebastian “Basti” Wieser – Guitar Dimitry “Timmy” Sima – Guitar Sebastian “Sippi” Platzer – Vocals Matthias “Matti” Rohringer – Drums Philipp “Witschi” Winter – Bass / Vocals
KERSEY // Vicenza You all know Kreative Klan is all about punk/hc/metal bands. You also know that we find a certain kind of electro scene quite attractive… especially when electronic music is mixing up with dubstep, underground and experimental music. It is down this road that we met Kersey: K.nico + Mrhex, both coming from Psyncoma metal band and both approaching to drum and bass with the same passion they put during being an metal band. In july 2012 Kersey ‘Drum and Bass On The Rocks’ came out… now available in free download through a dedicated tab on facebook! ‘Social Suicide’ is the album Kersey released under Kreative Klan, entirely mixed and mastered at Kreative Klan Studio! The unbelievably awesome artwork which is also the magazine cover, was made by Sun Down| Sun Up, a really talented creative duo, formed with the purpose of blending their passion for both music and graphic design!! A damn good result if you ask us… From the second track of this Ep, ‘Disallowance’ an amazing Video has been release, directed by Damiano Ferrari!! ‘Social Suicide‘ is now available on iTunes, Amazon, Play.com and Spotify. It sounds like a music revolt to something. Not up to us to explain you what Kersey meant with these songs… Maybe a couple of shots from their official photoset could help you understand. Maybe. KERSEY are: K.Nico MrHex
TRIPSITTER // Innsbruck There was one night, last summer, when we said… let’s go to Innsbruck. There’s a nice gig at the “PMK”, TripSitter are playing. Let’s see what they’re made of… And it was amazing. So much better than we expected. A melodic hardcore band. 4 guys on stage… Not too many songs, people in the club couldn’t wait for them to start, and they were right. Melodies and anger, all in one band. The drums were asymmetric, vocals and backings were passionate. Half of the work was made by amazing guitar lines: the melodies kept following one another, adding music content to the whole thing, without ever getting messy. And in the end, we just felt in a hardcore gig, with people smashing and not caring too much about their haircuts (there were some pretty jumpy girls in the pit as well… and that was great) It’s hard to explain how we immediately wanted them to be part of kk. You find it hard to believe they are so young and they don’t have 2 or 3 album behind, because on stage, they seem to belong to the bigger league. So we just asked them: do you want to release your next ep with us? They said yes, and came to Verona in Kreative Klan Studio (bringing an electric toy car track as a present!! How grown up!!) and did everything here during the summer. They had 5 songs ready, some of them got their final shape here in the studio. We recorded all the drums (in 2 days!! Alex did it!!), the guitars, the bass lines, we waited for everything to be reamped to get to the vocals. Meindl put himself in front of the microphone for 2 days striaght, and we started discussing some mix choices. TripSitter have this unique vintage hardcore style. What we love about them, it’s how they can laugh about everything, not taking themselves too seriously even if they deeply believe in what they’re doing. We just love their official photo session, set in a 30ies like railway background, where they act like proletarian movie stars, with braces, hats and everything. TripSitter will release an Ep under Kreative Klan, promoting it around Europe together with Not to Save One’s Life. There will be a video, they shot during the summer as well, and there will be a very good record. Please welcome this band from Austria into Kreative Klan Endorsement Team. They are perfect to be part of our dream to make music, in a professional way, but not on facebook. Tripsitter are an hardcore band and they belong on stage. Please check out their first single ever, released just before coming in our KK Studio…The Ep will be maybe better quality, but this is their core.

KREATIVE KLAN // studio
Kreative Klan Studio is not just a recording studio. It is the place where Kreative Klan music happens. It is a place where our bands can sleep, eat, have a shower (more than welcome to...) and live their music production without thinking about anything else. That is what a band should do when in the studio. All those songs you have played and played again during rearshal, in your room, on stage sometimes, they come to life in here. Sometimes they are exaclty as you imagined them, sometimes they are something else. More important, a new ear listen to the songs, a ear which didn’t have time to get attached to some riffs of passages which maybe don’t valorize the whole thing. So that we can says what’s super-good and what should go. And that is what music production should be. Having the chance to live with our endorsers for a full week or two is a great priviledge. That gives time to document the whole process, whatching the record coming alive. We can shot studio diaries, we can take very fashion pictures of our musicians, which - as you know - are always quite hot and sexy... So this is how we work. We want to live the whole experience with our guys . There’s not a good record label which doesn’t know his own artists by name (or brilliant nicknames). We won’t put our logo in something we don’t believe in, we won’t mix your album without you in the room, saying what you think, we won’t say ‘that’s a good one’ if we don’t think it is. When we started all this, we asked ourself: ‘Is it still possible to make discography like they used to, when the great records of all time came out?’ We need a place where the band doesn’t have to worry about the clock clicking, and where there’s no school, no job, no girlfriend (even if whattsup keeps ruining it...) and no other place to go. Some place where your bandmates (which you know, are your best friends indeed...) are stucked with you! Today, after one of our best recording summers, and having some of the best records we will ever release (NTS1L, Ashtray, Tripsitter, Sinfulness, Rejekts, Hopes Are Burning) we can safely say: ‘ Yes. It is possible. Right here, at Kreative Klan Studio’.
