There was one night, last summer, when we said… let’s go to Innsbruck. There’s a nice gig at the “PMK”, TripSitter are playing. Let’s see what they’re made of…
Kreative Klan Studio (bringing an electric toy car track as a present!! How grown up!!) and did everything here, during the summer.
And it was amazing. So much better than we expected. A melodic hardcore band. 4 guys on stage… Not too many songs, people in the club couldn’t wait for them to start, and they were right. Melodies and anger, all in one band. The drums were asymmetric, vocals and backings were passionate. Half of the work was made by amazing guitar lines: the melodies kept following one another, adding music content to the whole thing, without ever getting messy. And in the end, we just felt in a hardcore gig, with people smashing and not caring too much about their haircuts (there were some pretty jumpy girls in the pit as well… and that was great).
They had 5 songs ready, some of them got their final shape in studio. We recorded all the drums (in 2 days!! Alex did it!!), the guitars, the bass lines, we waited for everything to be reamped to get to the vocals. Meindl put himself in front of the microphone for 2 days straight, and we started discussing some mix choices.
It’s hard to explain how we immediately wanted TripSitter to be part of kk. You find it hard to believe they are so young and they don’t have 2 or 3 album behind, because on stage, they seem to belong to the bigger league. So we just asked them: do you want to release your next ep with us? They said yes, and came to Verona in
TripSitter have this unique vintage hardcore style. What we love about them, it’s how they can laugh about everything, not taking themselves too seriously even if they deeply believe in what they’re doing. We just love their official photo session, set in a 30ies like railway background, where they act like proletarian movie stars, with braces, hats and everything. TripSitter just released their debut Ep under Kreative Klan, and they will promote it around Europe in 2014. There will be a studio playthrough video, a proper videoclip they shot during the summer, and - most important - there will be a very good record.

TRIPSITTER // Band Info TripSitter are from Navis, a tiny tyrolean town, 30 km from Innsbruck. Meindl, Christopher, Hubi and Alex Farnik play a melodic hc, complex in the structure as it is easy and meaningful to listen to. Everything they do is done with passion and something to say. That applies to the lyrics and to the merch/artwork/ visual universe of the band. The cover of ‘Decampment’ Ep is one of those things, they did with the heart. There’s so much history behind this cover. The main object of the cover design is a light and evocative butterfly, which was actually an amazing watercolor painting by the austrian artist Gertraud Taxer. The painter/ artist is quite special to the band, being Meindl’ mother (vocals/guitar for TripSitter) among the other things…
It is so nice to see what the original version of the painting was, more colourful and complex than the one we see in the cover. The band decided infact to turn it in the tones of black and sepia, getting a very special effect. It is perfect. After the release party, celebrated the 15/02 in Innsbruck among friends, the band will leave for an Eastern Europe Tour, touching Bratislava, Banska Bystrica, Tisovec Brezno and many more spots. Please welcome this band from Austria into Kreative Klan Endorsement Team. They are perfect to be part of our dream to make music, in a professional way, but not on facebook. Tripsitter are an hardcore band and they belong on stage.
