Tributes (2 minutes per speaker)
To My Lifemate I thought of you with love today, but this is nothing new. I thought of you yesterday and the days before that too. I think of you in silence and often speak your name. All I have now is our memories, and your pictures in a frame. It broke my heart to let you go, but you did not go alone. A part of me went with you, the day God took you home. One thing I am sure of, is that my heart really aches. But I rest in knowing what you always told me, forever I will be your Lifemate With Love Always Honey, Throughout Eternity

The Obituary
Chronicaling the Life and Ministry of
Apostle Lawrence Bogier, Jr. M ar ch 23, 1941 - June 27, 2014
A
postle Lawrence Bogier, Jr. was born to the late Hattie & Lawrence Bogier, Sr. on March 23, 1941 in Summerton, SC. He was the eldest of seven children. He attended Summerton, South Carolina public schools. He later moved to Jamaica, New York. It was in New York where he met his bride, Coretha in “the park”. They were married on January 21, 1965. Apostle Bogier was a professional welder for many years while living in New York. He accepted the Lord as his personal savior in March, 1971 and often testified about how God saved, sanctified, and filled him with the Holy Ghost all in the same night. His zeal for Christ led him to the Tabernacle of Prayer For All People in Brooklyn, New York under the leadership of his mentor, the late Apostle Johnnie Washington. It was under his leadership that he served faithfully, and accepted a divine calling to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ, as well as pastoralship. Apostle Bogier was God sent to Goldsboro, North Carolina in 1976; the first Elder to be sent out to Pastoralship under the Tabernacle of Prayer Fellowship of Churches. His prophetic ministry and work was built upon the foundation of holiness and grew into a global ministry. He became Overseer of fellowship churches in the U.S. and overseas, affording him the opportunity to minister in the Bahamas, Costa Rica, South America, the Philippines, the Caribbean Islands, and Ghana-West Africa and to establish Tabernacle of Prayer in Nigeria-West Africa. Apostle Bogier believed that the people of God should not perish for a lack of knowledge. Having begun his educational pursuits at Manhattan Bible Institute in New York, he earned numerous degrees including Bachelor of Theology, Master of Theology, Doctor of Divinity, and Doctor of Sacred Theology. He later founded the Tabernacle Bible Institute which later developed into The Tabernacle Christian University (TTCU), an accredited university with campuses and online and satellite classes located in North Carolina, Indiana, Georgia, and Florida where he served as Chancellor. His literary accomplishments included publishing three books: “Compared: The Teachings of Jesus To Judaism”; “The Calling Of God Through Visions And Dreams”, and “My Prophetic Call: Life And Ministry Of Apostle Lawrence Bogier”.
Apostle Bogier’s humanitarian efforts were aimed to make a difference in the community. They began at home and spread abroad establishing and nurturing outreach ministries. The proof of his ministry is the fulfillment of the many visions and dreams that the Lord had given him. They continue to manifest themselves through the various ministries of the Tabernacle of Prayer which include: Trumpet of Deliverance Prayer Line, The New Life Street Team, Prison Bound Prison Team, Mission For Christ Foreign Missions, Tent Ministry (seating capacity 2,500), Trumpet of Deliverance Publications (Magazine), and Trumpet Sounds Production and weekly Telecast. His heart for the community was also displayed through his involvement in numerous organizations and activities. He served as Treasurer of the Goldsboro Ministerial Alliance and was instrumental in providing sound biblical counsel and spiritual guidance for many pastors and entrepreneurs near and far for nearly 40 years; many of whom had beginnings in the Tabernacle of Prayer. In 2011, Apostle Bogier was honored with the President’s Volunteer Service Award which is given to individuals who perform extraordinary everyday acts of service with commitment, but seldom receive recognition for the great work they accomplish. He leaves behind to continue his legacy of love and faith his loving and devoted lifemate of 49 years, Mother Coretha Bogier; three children Stephanie Jones (Melvin), Jeanette Hardie (Ronnie), Lawrence Bogier, III; one God-son Elder Jewel Lee (Laneace); two sisters Thelma Boyd and Annie Phillips, three brothers Pastor Willie Bogier (Pat), Pastor Eddie Bogier (Rose), Minister Burnell Mickens (Dorothy); 8 grandchildren, a hosts of loving aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, spiritual sons and daughters, The Original Tabernacle of Prayer Church Family (headquarters), fellowship churches, and countless friends.
