One of the important parts of school life is after-school activities. They gather everyone around and students get a chance to perform dances or songs and develop their other skills besides schoolwork. There are also festivals where they can hold exhibitions or different shows. Parents often come to school to see their children’s hard work. Those who are creative often make decorations for school celebrations. They also make presentations on their artwork. Those students who are active may perform a play or even hold a concert. There are those days when students give presents to their teachers or hold competitions and give prizes to the winners. All in all, all of these activities can make life at school more interesting and fun for everyone.

I think good table manners not so important nowadays. People should be allowed to eat however they want. All you need is to be respectful to others. In my family, we sometimes eat with forks and knifes but not always. We eat pizza with hands. It's more comfortable than use forks and knifes.
Shkola.in.ua
In Great Britain, people have some rules for eating. Men should help women sit first and get up when they leave the table. You should wait for the host to start eating. You can eat chicken and pizza with hands only at a barbecue, but usually you use a knife and a fork. Bread rolls should be broken with fingers and buttered a small piece at a time. Soup should be spooned away from you, and never blow on it even if it's hot! Don’t use your fingers to mash or mix food, and don’t talk with food in your mouth. Never use gadgets or share your food pictures on social media during formal dinners. If food gets stuck in your teeth, don’t try to get it out at the table –excuse yourself and take care of it somewhere else. Shkola in ua

Hello!
Thank you for your letter! In Ukraine, Easter is a very special holiday too. We call it "Velykden". The main symbols are pysanky (painted eggs) and a special sweet bread called kulich. Before Easter, we prepare a basket with eggs, bread, sausage, and cheese. Then we go to church to bless the food. On Easter morning, my family has breakfast together with the blessed food. I like painting pysanky with my mom. It’s very fun! Sometimes, our relatives visit us, and we enjoy spending time together. Shkola.in.ua How do you paint your Easter eggs? Do you visit friends on Easter? Best wishes,

Dear Oliver, Shkola.in.ua
I hope you’re doing well! I wanted to tell you about a special day we celebrate in Ukraine –Mother's Day and Father's Day. In my family, these days are very important, and we always make sure to show how much we love and appreciate our parents.
On Mother's Day, we give my mom flowers and a special gift, like a piece of jewelry or something she loves. We also cook a nice meal for her and spend time together as a family. It’s a day to say thank you for everything she does for us.
On Father's Day, we do something similar for my dad. We give him a gift, like a nice shirt or a book he likes. We also make his favorite food and enjoy a relaxing day. My parents love these days, and they always feel happy and appreciated. These holidays are simple, but they mean a lot to us. I think it’s a beautiful way to show our love to our parents. The Holiday of my Dream I would create a holiday called "Friendship Day". It would be celebrated on the first Saturday of June. The idea of the holiday is to celebrate friendship and show appreciation to friends. On this day, people would spend time with their friends, go on trips, and enjoy fun activities together. We would give small gifts like cards, flowers, or homemade treats to show how much we care. There would be special events in the community, like picnics, games, and concerts. People would also share their favorite memories and stories with friends. I think it would be a wonderful way to remind ourselves of the importance of friendship in our lives.

Cycle Ball
Shkola.in.ua
Cycle ball is a sport played on bicycles. Two teams of two players each compete against each other. The goal is to score points by hitting a ball into the opponent's net using only the wheels of their bikes (no hands allowed). Players ride their bikes around the field and try to control the ball with the wheels or the frame of the bike.
The main equipment used in cycle ball is a special bicycle designed for this sport. These bikes have no brakes and are built to be strong for handling the movements in the game. The ball used is similar to a football, and a net is placed at each end of the field.
Cycle ball is most popular in countries like Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. It is also played in some other European countries and has a small following in places like Japan. Zorbing
Zorbing is an adventurous sport where a person rolls down a hill inside a giant inflatable ball. The ball is usually transparent, and the person inside is strapped in to stay safe. There are two main types: one where you roll with the person inside (the ball is filled with air), and another where you roll with water inside (called "water zorbing"). The goal is simply to roll down the hill and enjoy the ride. Shkola.in.ua
![](https://assets.isu.pub/document-structure/250212094137-e7bf7b90d3b22a9014721c0a2521ed81/v1/a7cfd95b8b162b68ae30ccb0a71d5286.jpeg)
The main equipment is a large inflatable ball made of clear plastic. The ball has two layers: one for the person inside to stay safe, and another outer layer that helps it roll. The person inside wears a harness or seatbelt for safety.
Zorbing is popular in countries like New Zealand, where it was first invented, and it can also be found in places like the UK, the USA, and Canada. It’s mostly done in places with hills or mountains, as the ball needs a slope to roll down. Shkola.in.ua

Hi Lisa,
I hope you’re doing well! I wanted to tell you about the time I needed some treatment after an accident. A few months ago, I tripped and fell while playing soccer, and I sprained my ankle. It was so painful, and I couldn’t walk properly.
I went to the doctor, and they examined my ankle carefully. They said it was a sprain and not a fracture, which was a relief. They gave me some painkillers and told me to keep my foot elevated and use an ice pack to reduce the swelling. I also had to wear a compression bandage and rest for a few weeks. Shkola.in.ua
It was frustrating to stay off my feet, but after following the treatment plan, my ankle healed completely. Now I’m back to playing soccer! Have you ever had a similar experience?

Doctor: Hello, John. I hear you’re not feeling well. Can you tell me what’s wrong?
John: I feel really sick and dizzy. My head hurts too.

John: It started yesterday afternoon. I thought I’d feel better today, but I don’t.
Doctor: Have you had any fever or nausea? Shkola.in.ua
John: I feel a little warm, but I haven’t thrown up.
Mother: Doctor, could it be something serious? He’s been so weak.
Doctor: It sounds like it could be a viral infection, but I’ll need to check a few things to be sure. Let me take his temperature and blood pressure.
Mother: Of course, Doctor. Please do whatever’s needed.
Doctor: John has a mild fever and slightly low blood pressure, which could explain the dizziness. He needs to rest, stay hydrated, and eat small, light meals.
Mother: Thank you, Doctor. We’ll make sure he follows those instructions. Should we give him any medicine? Shkola.in.ua
Doctor: You can give him paracetamol for the headache and fever, but nothing else unless symptoms worsen. If he doesn’t improve in a few days, bring him back immediately.
Mother: Got it, Doctor. Thank you for your help.
Doctor: You’re welcome. Take care, John, and feel better soon!
John: Thanks, Doctor. I’ll try to rest.
The author wonders if his parents were right not to move him to another school after his illness. On one hand, staying at the same school could have helped him build resilience, but on the other hand, a new school might have offered better support. His parents may have wanted him to stay in a familiar place, hoping he’d improve. It’s understandable that he questions the decision, but both choices had their challenges. Shkola.in.ua Вправа 9:
Good medical service is very important for keeping us healthy and helping us recover when we’re sick. I’d like to share some thoughts on why it’s so essential. I catch a cold now and then, especially in the colder months. When I do, I usually go to my local doctor to get treatment. A good doctor helps me feel better quickly and makes sure I get the care I need. When I go to the doctor, they usually ask about my symptoms and sometimes do a quick check-up. They then prescribe the right medicine to help me feel better. I always trust my doctor to give me the right advice. Shkola.in.ua
Once I get a prescription, I go to the pharmacy to pick up my medicine. Pharmacies are important because they make it easy to get the medicines we need to recover. Most of the time, I’m healthy. To stay this way, I try to eat healthy foods, exercise, and sleep enough.
If I have a toothache, I visit the dentist right away. Taking care of my teeth is very important, and I never ignore a problem. A good dentist makes sure I get treated quickly. In conclusion, good medical service helps us stay healthy and recover from illnesses. Whether it’s a cold, a toothache, or an operation, having access to good healthcare is important for a healthy life. Shkola.in.ua

I like horror films the least because they are too scary and sometimes awful. I don’t enjoy feeling frightened while watching a movie.

I prefer theatre because it's live, and every performance is different. You can feel the energy of the actors and the audience, which makes it unique. In cinema, everything is planned and edited, but in theatre, you experience the story as it happens in real time. I find that special.

Mr. Popper’s Penguins is one of the funniest family comedies I’ve ever seen! Jim Carrey plays the main role of Tom Popper. One day he gets a very big box with a live penguin inside from his dad. And that isn’t funny enough, he gets five more of them a few days later! At first, Tom is mad and not happy. He has to take care of them but he is so busy with his work, and penguins are not like dogs or cats. However, after a while, he starts liking them. What’s even more wonderful is that they make a really warm atmosphere in his home and help him unite with his wife and kids. This film with Jim Carrey may not be as funny as his Bruce Almighty comedy, but it’s still cool. I recommend it to everyone who enjoys watching something funny and entertaining, not scary.
