Board Meetings
Board meetings will be held at the community pool the fourth Tuesday of each month. Meetings are open to the homeowners from 6:30-7:00 PM, at which time anyone wishing to express any concerns, issues or even thanks, will have 3 minutes to speak. After which, the executive board will meet in a closed session. we will then go over our agenda and talk over concerns expressed by the homeowners. Immediately following the executive session, we again will have an open forum for the homeowners who may have questions pertaining to the evenings meeting. Our next two scheduled meetings; Tuesday, November 29th and Tuesday, December 27th.
NEWS AND INFORMATION FROM YOUR BOARD PRESIDENT
Our monthly meetings are extremely important. Not just to us, BUT TO YOU ALSO! Your opinions and suggestions are valued and needed. We have a very small number of homeowners attending the meetings monthly. However, we do know that there are many, homeowners with opinions, problems, complaints, suggestions and ideas. The Board is here to represent and work for our community. There are just 5 of us making decisions for 550 homes. How do we know how you feel, what you want to see more or less of, what makes you happy or unhappy about your community, if you do not show up at the meetings to let us know? Word of mouth, like the telephone game, just doesn’t get things done correctly, or come back to us the way it started. As the new board takes over after the annual election, we will be looking at some major changes. Some, to save us all money and some that may be costly. On major issues, we would like to get the opinions of the homeowners before making decisions. YOUR VOICE WILL BE HEARD! But not if you are not there to speak up in person. Expressing dissatisfaction after the fact, won’t get you anywhere. Please come to the meetings. Know what is happening in your community, be heard and maybe you can make a difference! All of us on the board are still striving to cut down on costs, trying to keep our neighborhoods well manicured and safe, while still keeping up with current legislation, state laws, rules and regulations. It is not an easy task and help is needed from each and every homeowner to get us there! Please, be a proud homeowner! Take care of your homes and lawns. Every time a letter of deed restriction has to come to you, YOU, cost yourself, as well as your neighbors, money from our operating budget! Every letter and subsequent follow up letter, letters from collections and attorneys, then finally liens being filed, are raising mine, yours and your neighbors, yearly homeowner fees. Take some time, look around your property, see it how others see it and PLEASE, mow and weed your yard, fix those gutters hanging, trim your bushes and trees, paint where it’s needed, clean up the trash. DON’T WAIT FOR A LETTER TO ARRIVE letting you know something needs to be done. Take pride as a homeowner and let your neighbors also, feel proud of the street they live on!
