First Year 2014
Office in a small city By: Andrew Hopper
Convergence This project started with a analysis of the given Andrew Hopper painting. The first phase was to asses the rest of the room that is not in the painting. Second the analysis extended to the building that the office would reside in. The building was designed around the room. Finally the convergence between the building that was designed based on the painting and an existing architectural work.

Second Year 2014
These sketches and president image are all based on the Andrew Hopper painting “office in a small city”. From the painting I designed a simple functional room for the man at the desk (in the upper right hand corner of the plan). Then the project expanded out to the building the office is in, Where I designed an atrium that extend beyond the roof and structural walls. Lastly the syntheses of Renzo Piano’s Jean-Marie Tjibaou Cultural Center and the imagined office building. I brought in the ribbing system from the basket style structure onto the exterior walkway on the Hopper office building.

Third Year 2015
Library 606
This project is focused on a site we where able to visit while in Chicago for the study tour. The sight is located next to the Bloomingdale trail/606 and the blue line train. The program is a library that had some connection to the 606 and the to the community around it. I tried to find ways to make the library a mixed use building that could be used in the evenings as well as during regular business hours. The main library functions are in the two story portion of the building while mixed use rooms and cafe are in the three story section, with a children’s section in the middle.
This project was a true learning experience. I worked with new concepts and materials to interpret the movement and significance of a space. Through Photography I created a montage to emphasize the moment of pause along the circulation path. With the experimentation of concrete I was able to bring physical form to the idea.

Photography
A personal study of the interaction between nature and forgotten human debris. The only sounds in this memory are of the rain tapping on everything and the quiet click of my shutter in the valley. This activity brings me close to nature and allows me to share how I see things.

Painting & Mixed media
Studding master painter and woodblock artiest Utamaro.
Using mixed media, chalk and ink, to interpret a master work. This was an assignment in an upper lever painting class at Lewis-Clark State College. The goal was to learn from a master artists style using a different media.

Bead work
I learned the peyote stitch style of bead work from some elders of the Shoshone Bannock tribe when I was younger. Since then I developed my own style and patterns. It is always fascinating what creations can come out of tiny beads.
